WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

[ooc: Below there will be 4 separate threads posted for all of the areas available. Feel free to use them or post your own outside of them. The auction now closed. Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

Need a place to sit down and people watch? Grab an unoccupied table or sit with someone that you know. Are you in need of fresh air instead? Going to the upper floor, you will find doors leading out to several different balconies. They are a perfect way for stepping outside without actually departing from the party.

Sun Wukong

[This has been a great month. Great enough that Sun had four empty wine glasses on his table. And in his hand, he was holding a fifth one. If that would be his last one for the night, he didn't know. But he'd find out soon enough he was sure.

He watched the people below from his spot on the balcony above, taking small sips of his drink as he did. Normally he might hold it with his tail, but those malfunctions weren't as..fine tuned as they needed to be at the moment.]

[ As if Weiss wouldn't check on him periodically throughout the day. She knows what it's like to lose the person you love here. With Blake and Ruby gone at the same time, she's not feeling amazing either even if she's trying to force herself to enjoy this.

She comes up to find him and raises her eyebrow at the number of glasses on the table. ]

Sun, I know that I've mostly got driving down but I'm not interested in carrying you to the car later.

Hey...got a spare glass?

[Some point between shouting completely accurate commentary at the people bidding Weiss, Jaune heads up to the balcony and sits down without any other warning.]

[Pyrrha was worried about Sun ever since Ruby and --but mostly-- Blake left. She just... didn't know what what to say. Seeing Sun like this warranted enough worry to go take a seat next to him.]

Hey uhmm... This is... an interesting auction, right?

[She doesn't want to mention Blake and honestly? Telling him that he shouldn't drink seemed like a bad thing to say, considering it's probably not something he wants to hear and.... she's sort of been there by accident...]

[Liam is standing on the balcony, calming gazing down at the floor below with a glass of wine in his hand and a blue-eyed crow on his right shoulder. He's dressed slightly better than usual, opting for a different outfit other than his usual fur collared jacket. It's nice having the ability to determine whatever he wants to wear without having to buy new clothing.

He doesn't particularly understand the point of this event, but the mortals seem enthralled with the idea. Or some of them, rather. It was mildly amusing, if anything, even if it seemed a little desperate on the part of some people.]

Allen

['What the hell?' Was a good summary of what the shapeshifter was feeling about that time. Sure, alien world and all that, but he had assumed based on events from Christmas that Genessia had similar events and customs to the Earth he came from. He was just loafing about at this point, trying to get a good look at everything.

This was not quite like any Valentine's day he knew.]

So is this like a blind date thing or...

As bizarre as it is, I believe it's exactly what it's presented as.

[Hey Allen, have a guy with a glass of wine in his hand and a blue-eyed crow on his shoulder standing nearby. Liam glances over, easily being able to determine that Allen wasn't human.]

It seems it's simply an auction to win a man or woman's company for a date. [He scoffs a little.] It almost seems like a socially acceptable form of human trafficking.

Anastasia Leonheart

[Anastasia managed to drag herself out of bed after some motivation and come to an event that could hopefully lift her broken spirits, or make things worse. Normally, she would be one to smile throughout a time that was obviously geared for love despite being only a month away from being a teenager, but for now, she just wanted to move on.

So here she was on the upper levels of the hall, sitting at a empty table alone and away from others as she watches the people below with a very melancholy look on her youthful face. What she could be thinking about is anyone's guess.]

Zeref

A: Closed to Mavis

{ Zeref wasn't surprised when Mavis invited him as her date to the party. She may not remember it, but Mavis had previously nearly drained Fairy Tail of its guild funds winning the date auction Zeref had been drafted into thanks to Kefka, and won. It was a bittersweet moment for him; it had, in essence, been their first date, previously denied to them by circumstances in their own world beyond their control.

It also wasn't the first time they'd gone to a party like this, before. Zeref had already picked out an outfit, recommended to him by Mavis after she'd seen it in a store near the Subarchway to Fayren: A tailored vest with inverted Fleur-de-Lis designs beneath the lapels, slim-fit slacks, and white shoes. Complete with a simple blazer, it wasn't the flashiest of outfits, but it worked for his purposes.

He was excited to see Mavis; just a few short years ago, he couldn't ever imagine even wanting to go to a venue like this, much less be excited about doing so. He had mentally prepared himself to keep his Curse under control, and he was sure Mavis had a contingency plan in place in case the worst should happen. But now that he was more comfortable with the idea, due in no small part to this not being their first time and it having gone well the previous few times. He was willing to trust her, again. Just as he had been a century before.

He'd always trusted her. It's himself that he doesn't trust.

Having mutually agreed for him not to pick her up at Fairy Haven for somewhat obvious reasons, Zeref waited for her near Fayren's subarchway, where they would wak the rest of the distance to the Castle Royale Hotel together. Zeref checked the time, standing near the subarchway. She should be here at any moment. }

B: OTA

{ As expected, Mavis wanted Zeref to come to this party. It wasn't their first rodeo, so to speak, and at this point, he was more or less used to it. Valentine's Day was a big deal, in this world. The memories of last year were still fresh in his mind, and thankfully, there was no insane, self-proclaimed 'clown gods' to sign him up for the date auction, which means Mavis didn't have to exhaust Fairy Tail's guild funds to bail him out.

It was funny; before coming to this world, he wouldn't dream about coming to something like this. Even in Alvarez, at some major celebration, he might have made a token appearance, gave a short five minute or so speech, and then sneak out the back door and go home.

But being used to being asked to come to these types of events didn't mean he was going to be social, if he could help it. Not feeling particularly hungry at the moment, Zeref could be found at at the balconies, staring out at the city skyline at night, leaning against the railing, his untouched glass of wine set unceremoniously on the floor near his feet. He was spacing out, not really paying attention if somebody were to approach him. He might be a bit startled if someone were to address him.

Mavis had said she was going to go say hi to any other member of Fairy Tail present at the party. He was nothing if not patient; besides, he rather liked the view. }

Gengar is very interested in people watching. It gives him good comedic material. Just don't make eye contact for too long or he might hypnotize you. Then the fun really begins...

Mikoto Mikoshiba

[He had mixed feelings about being here, but Mayu had wanted to come and he didn't want to leave him alone in case he fell asleep and needed someone to get him back home. He's dressed nicely as he sits at one of the tables, fumbling with his hands, but otherwise okay for the time being.

When he hears Mayu bid on Weiss though, his gaze snaps up and he frowns, not sure if he heard correctly. There might be tears welling in his eyes, before he angrily scrubs them away with his arm. Maybe he should bid on someone too...just to get revenge.]

Yugi Mutou

[Yugi had no idea why he came here in the first place. Maybe it was because his pokemon seemed to be bothering him more to get out since he came back from the dead, but he understood why. The only time he went out was to work the past few days. he didn't meet anyone and he just didn't want to either.

So he choose to sit at the table, playing with a drink that he had managed to get before as he kept his eyes on it, wondering if he should go home. Especially after seeing who was up at the auction.]

At this table you will find various manners of food. It is kept perfectly stocked, with new snacks and finger foods being brought out when the table gets low. There is a separate table for drinks, with wine being the only alcoholic beverage there. There are other beverages, but they range from water, to juice, to soda and the like. Just to give people a variety

Kahlan

Closed for Richard

[Kahlan is surprised when Richard asks her to the Valentine’s day party. She doesn’t know a lot about the holiday and it’s true that they haven’t been to anything like this before now but it feels very intimate which makes her both hopeful and worried. She decides to dress nicely remaining within their budget. Her dress falls over her frame in elegant curves clinging to her hips and waist. With anything that Kahlan wears it has a low neckline and long skirts. Her eyes dart over to Richard with a nervous smile as they watch those dancing across the floor.]

Are you sure this is okay Richard?

[Her voice is soft and without an inclination towards wanting to leave or stay but her eyes reflected everything her voice couldn’t say. She wants to stay, to be with him, even if it’s just to enjoy a dance or a night together at a party.]

Open

[Kahlan enjoys parties and she’s used to them due to her position as a confessor. She smiles and walks through the room catching sight of those she remembers from her arrival and a few people she knows that Richard is acquainted with. She nods her head slightly towards anyone she makes eye contact with while keeping her demeanor proud and upright. It might seem stiff to some but it’s respectful and the way she has been taught to act at such gatherings.

She takes a chance to look through the spread of food seeing many things that are usually only allowed to the wealthy. It feels strange having a gathering like this now, while everything in Fayren is hectic and she feels as if she should be there helping.

Richard, however, puts up a convincing argument and now that she’s thinking about it she wonders if she’s ever won a verbal match with the Seeker.]

SAKURA | OPEN~

[ Sakura is wearing a cute pink dress that’s adorned with ribbons and lace. She picks her way along the assortment of treats, making herself a small plate, before looking for a seat. Everything looks amazing though she’s more excited for the auction. She might have signed up a few people she knew and while she’s only sixteen she has money so she might bid on a few of her friends as well.

She isn’t opposed to dancing or talking with anyone but for now she’s going to nibble at the sweet cakes and sip the sparkling liquid that she’s found. After the auction she might confess to Gale that she had signed him up and has no idea what it is he actually does as a job.]

Lucy - OTA

[ Ballroom dancing was second nature to her, though she hadn't done it in some time. She hadn't gone out onto the dance floor either, though, not for lack of partners. She had politely refused each one, only intent on putting in an appearance, say hello to any familiar faces, and then leave. Though she was lingering by the refreshment's table at the moment, she was willing enough to strike up conversation with anyone who happened to approach for drinks as well. She'd even pour a cup for someone if they wanted one because she's nice and that's how she rolls. ]

Konoka Konoe

[ Too restless to merely sit down, yet too encroached in strange territory to boldly venture out, Konoka settled for hanging around the food bar. She munched on various foods, more or less venturing out to see if she could strike up a friendly conversation and find out more about this world she lived in. Yeah, she was stuck in Castlevania at night, but that didn't mean she couldn't go venturing during the day. And with a party like this? She could definitely enjoy what was going on here!

She had signed up for that auction, but the bidding hadn't started yet when she arrived, and she was more interested in meeting new people anyway. ]

Dance Floor

Are you looking to “shake your groove thang”? Then the dance floor Is where you want to be! Grab a partner and hit it. Or if you came with a date, grab them and do the same.

[Did someone say dancing? You can bet Gale is there. He'll always be dancing to the upbeat songs that come on, only leaving the dance floor if some slow song starts playing. He's actually not even dancing for the sake of showing off, he just enjoys it... but he also happens to be really good at it, so he's not even out there making a fool of himself.

Join him? Stare awkwardly? Catch him while he's off the dance floor?]

A furious rustling of leaves could be heard. No, the roof didn't blow off the hinges. It was Trevenant, having the time of his life and Shaking what his mama gave him. Do you have what it takes to groove with the grove?

[Levy is wearing a simple light green dress. She hadn’t dressed up per-say but instead chose to wear something comfortable and cute; which makes up most of her wardrobe anyway. It’s a little embarrassing but Levy actually enjoys dancing. Nothing as crazy as she’s seen others do but ballroom dancing.

For now she’s just watch with a smile but it’s a little obvious that she wants to join in.]
