WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

Next up is Terra Branford.

She’s 19 and Owner of Jardin Verdoyant. She is a sweetheart who wouldn't be able to hurt a fly is she could help it. Kind, caring she cares for those who need it. She also enjoys learning, so if you've got something she doesn't know about she will be all ears.

[This is Athrun's friend. He's going to make sure she ends up with someone whose company she'll enjoy.]

[He hoped that Zelos would understand he's doing this to help what he considered a friend. Plus seemed like the best way to be able to have a pow wow, a chat some might say.]

[Ronan's noticed just how...clueless Terra can be, and he sort of feels terrible for her. He's not really sure what proceeds these funds might be going to, but he's not just going to let her suffer through this, either.]

[There are people Athrun doesn't know bidding on Terra. TIME TO BID AGAIN.]

[Cipher was going to keep to himself rather than take part in the other auctions, but he couldn't help his piqued curiosity at Terra's. His eyes cast over the three bidders, and he couldn't resist messing with them a little. He kind of wants to see how dedicated they are.]

[With his bid, the crow on his shoulder lets out a caw. Cipher's funds in this place aren't terribly high, but he knows his limits. Not that he has any use for whatever money he gains anyway.]

[Ronan narrows his eyes at this new person. He doesn't know who he is, but he does know there's no way he can top 4 grand.

He frowns, but doesn't say anything, instead just looking at the guy with a clear message of "if you do anything to her, it's on".]

[He does catch Ronan's face from the corner of his eye and simply turns to look at him, merely giving an eerie smile.]

Lady Branford has quite the protective suitors, doesn't she?

[There is however someone who can probably outbid them all. Fai raises his hand in order to help the others out.]

5000. Just here to help.

[Ah, the man who outdid him at Azalea's auction again. Granted, he bid on the dragon so she could avoid that purple... thing that bid on her first, but Terra's certainly a different case.]

Help with what? The profits for the charity, or are you a big brother figure to the lady, Guardian?

[He knows that's his absolute limit. If anything, he can use this to gauge the dedication of Terra's friends.]

[Athrun is fortunate he's getting help. Otherwise he wouldn't be able to make this bid.]

[That's his upper limit, though. And it'll be well worth it if he wins.]

I'm curious to hear, too.

[Terra isn't sure that she understands what's going on but her face is beginning to flush a light scarlet red. She looks over at Ronan and silently mouths 'I'm sorry' before looking at the other bidders.

They are at least all people she knows and considers friends.]

[Cipher just glances over to Athrun and quietly chuckles. He had a feeling one of the men would go over his bid, but he wasn't expecting Athrun being the one to do it.]

And with that, I'm afraid I must concede. A gambler has to know when to fold.

[He gives Terra a smile. He's sure getting close to her any other time wouldn't be very difficult. He'll still be hanging around though, as he wants to see how the remainder of the auction plays out.]

If nothing else, that was well-played. I didn't think I'd have to bid that much.

[Athrun himself looks over at Terra.]

I know you don't think so, but you're worth the money. I guarantee it.

[As far as he's concerned, she's priceless.]

[He has his reasons. One helping with charity, which is always worth it, but he felt like one of the guys had really wanted the date and didn't seem to be able to bid any more, thus why he was helping. Ronan he is looking at you.]

[Ronan blinks at Fai, because...what? He didn't even think the guy was interested in Terra. Maybe he should pay more attention to things other than the newspaper.

Judging from Fai's expression, Ronan's pretty sure he's got the wrong idea, but Terra is beyond uncomfortable, he can tell, and anything would be better than knowing she was confused.

She probably didn't even know what this was all about. Ronan nods his thanks at the other man.]

...Dammit.

[If Athrun hadn't been talked into bidding on Nora, he could still make another bid. As it was, though, this is as far as he can go.

He fixes a scrutinizing gaze on Fai. His right hand curls into a fist, and he puts it in his lap. Wait, this was Everglade's Guardian, right? He has mixed thoughts about that.

Still, it's out of his hands. He can't bid any higher. And he's unhappy.]

[Cipher's eyes scan over the other three men, but taking particular notice to Athrun's reaction. A thought passed through his mind and he slowly approached him.

Stepping behind Athrun's chair, Cipher leaned over his shoulder and whispered.]

If winning the Lady's hand is of great importance to you, I would be happy to lend you my aid.

[And his offer is sincere. He has his own intentions.]

[Athrun's eyes widen in surprise, but he quickly narrows them. He's not very good at trusting strangers.]

...What do you mean? How do you intend to do such a thing?

[He shrugs, standing back up fully.]

I don't intend to use the money I have that quickly. I'd be happy to aid someone so long as you mean well to Lady Branford.

[He smiles then.]

My name's Liam, by the way.

So you're saying you'd augment my bid, is that it?

I'm Athrun Zala. I can promise you that I harbor no ill intent.

I wouldn't mind. Besides, the money all goes to charity anyway, right?

You seem like a good man. She's a kind woman, so I'd just like to see her happy.

[He takes a few moments to consider the offer. Fai doesn't seem like a bad person, but the more Athrun thinks about it, the more he wants to win. And here he's been given the means to do so.

No need to ask how much his new acquaintance is willing to bid. He's only made one offer in here. And it's simple math to add that to his own.]

[He then turns to him.]

[That does make Cipher smile. It was less about helping Athrun or caring about Terra and more that he didn't want her to go to the Everglade Guardian.

He flips open the leather pouch wrapped around his thigh and pulls out a stack of bills, handing them to Athrun.]

You take care of her. Treat her well, Athrun.

[The stack of bills actually totals to 5,000, since it was the same stack of money he was given when he arrived. He isn't too concerned about counting it out, he knows what's there.]

[Athrun counts the bills, and notices that there appears to be an extra 1000 redbills. He double checks.]

Pardon me, but you appear to have given me 5000 redbills.
