Valentine's Auction & Party!

WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

[Mavis was very excited about the party. Parties had always been something she'd been looking for ever since she'd been allowed to attend them, which means pretty much ever since she'd founded Fairy Tail. It was true Valentine's Day was not as big a thing in their world as it was here but as they say "When in Rome, do as Romans do". A party was a party and Love was a great thing to celebrate, if you asked Mavis.

Moreover, she got to go to this particularly party with someone she truly cared about. So it made this event even more meaningful. When she had asked him, it hadn't even occurred to Mavis for a second that Zeref could say 'no'. She was aware Zeref was still hesitant because of what had happened back in their world. Mavis understood perfectly. Back in their world, gods and time had drawn them apart but this world was bringing them back together and what they had once felt about each other was still there. She could see it, radiating from their souls, brighter than fairies.

Mavis was literally running towards Fayren's subarchway. She didn't want to waste a minute of this beautiful evening. As soon as she spotted the silhouette of Zeref waiting for her there, she started waving at him cheerfully even as she kept running. She was wearing a light purple dress with straps that were attached to the dress by little golden hoops, actually matching her earrings. She was also carrying a package under her arm and a bouquet of flowers.

When she reached Zeref, her cheeks were flushed and she was nearly out of breath but her smile was so bright it could have lighten up the sky. Right then, she was the living picture of happiness.]

{ If only Zeref had been able to see her at the after party for the Grand Magic Games, wanting to eat other people's food and making it seem as if Wendy was talking to nobody in particular. Of course, he wouldn't have been able to see her, and he certainly wasn't about to just walk into the palace like that. But it would have been an incredibly funny sight, if he could.

And he has no idea what 'Rome' is, either, besides some kind of city ruled by a guy named 'Caesar' who was assassinated by his own Senate in a book Sayla had him read, once. Though, he would agree with the sentiment; after all they'd been through together, it was something to celebrate, even if his first choice wouldn't have been at a big party with a lot of people present. All it would take was one of their curses activating for it to become an instant disaster, but he'd made serious efforts to put that thought out of his mind, for now. In reality, he'd always wanted to take her to something like this, in their world. It was probably the one thing that would make him stay at one of the royal balls in Alvarez for longer than a half hour at the very most.

He could see her running at him through the subarchway, waving at him as she sprinted toward him; if she wasn't careful, she was going to trip, just like she did the very first time they met, even if he hadn't realized just how important the person who walked passed him was going to become in his life. But it wasn't until he noticed the package under her arm and the flowers that he suddenly felt embarrassed; he was going to give her her presents on Valentine's Day, not here. Thankfully, he did have a flower, though. He couldn't take her to a party without one.

But clearly, she didn't care. She was grinning ear to ear, and suddenly, Genessia City seemed a lot brighter. }

I see that. You look beautiful, Mavis. { Even when you're out of breath. } Are those for me?

{ He's touched. She really was the kindest person he'd ever met. If only the rest of humanity were like her. }

That's very kind of you. I was... going to give you your gift this weekend, though. On Valentine's Day. { Zeref offered her a long, slender box, with a single rose inside, preserved with water near the bottom. A bit of babies' breath was with it. }
