WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.
Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.
The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

He pointed to himself. (my) Then he mimed holding a pokeball in his palm (master), before making two legs with his fingers and kicking them through the air ( is walking around somewhere). He put away the finger-legs and spread his arms far and wide (probably having a biiiiig adventure.) He then stuck out his arms like a clock, counting down the hours. (He won't be back for a while.)
He pointed to himself again. (I) He shook the currency at Anastasia. (Want to bid) Then a dramatic point in her direction. (On you!) He tilted his head back and forth, expectantly. (So did I win? Huh? Huh?)

"And why exactly are you giving me money for...? Maybe I can see if Sylvia can help translate...?"
[She made it a habit to bring her Sylveon around just in case.]

He put his 'chin' in his hands, trying to think how to get across the concept of an auction. He'd seen a tv show of the process.
Quickly, he sprung to one side as if he were addressing an audience, hands on an imaginary podium, then said his name rapidly, like a fast-talking auctioneer. (One berry bid do I see two? Two berry bid give me two berry bid do I see three?) He then switched to the theoretical bidder, jumping back to the opposite position and raising increasing amounts of berries in his hands. (Sold, sold to the Trevenant with three berries!)
He did a gracious bow before marching in place with a loop in his arm, pretending to walk off with a girl in tow. (And that's how an auction works! I think.)
His interest was thoroughly piqued at the mention of this mysterious "Sylvia." He put his hands together in front, like an eager petitioner. (Yes, yes, please bring that person out! I wanna see!)

"Sylvia, can you find out what this pokemon wants?"
"Vie~
[The Sylveon saluted her trainer with her ribbon-like feelers before turning to the Trevenant with a fang-filled smile.]
(Hi! I'm Sylvia! My master wants to know what you want from her.)

(Hi Sylvia! It's so cool that I was talking to a pokemon trainer this whole time! I'm Trevenant.) He flapped the bill at Sylvia. (I'm trying to bid on her for the auction, but I guess I'm pretty bad at this game cause she's confused. If only I was as smart as Gengar, but he said that won't happen so I better get used to being dumb for the rest of my life.
Oh well! Could you try telling her instead? I really wanna win this game!)

(Oh it's really fun! It's called "Auction." See, you take this paper that your master gives you, find a girl, and then raise it up high as you can! That's called a "bid". If she accepts the bid, then you win and get to spend the rest of the day with that person and do whatever you want! I'm so excited.)

(That's a weird game... Why would you want to trade paper for my master? What do you want to do with her?)

(You can shake till you're dizzy there! I'm really good at that. Or maybe we could just tell stories; master reads to me all the time so I know some good ones.

(Yeah it's my first time playing. I hope I do a good job! Ummm...well I guess if there were girl pokemon to bid for I could do that. Your master was the first one I saw so I tried her first. I think it's supposed to be humans or something cause it's more special. Yeah, that's what Gengar said. He said that today's a very special day so we have to take advantage and try new things. Isn't he so cool? He always say cool stuff like that.)

(My master is very sad because one of her friends left. She's here trying to try to be happy again.)

His momentum halted a bit at the bad news.
(Oh yeah something like that happened to me too! I lost almost all of my friends a long time [aka a few months] ago. Master was really sad so I was sad too. But then Gengar said that they were just going on an adventure far away, and that one day they'd come back and we'd get to swap stories and see how strong we've become! Gengar's so cool; he knows a bunch of stuff like that. Then he punched me and said thinking about people who aren't here is rude to the ones that are here, so I thought about that instead.
So why's your master sad? Does she not know that her friend's on a far-away adventure too? You should tell her. I would but I'm dumb."

Oh, but you know what might work? Whenever Gengar's feeling mad or sad or bored or just whatever, he punches me to feel better!) He starts counting off his fingers.
(It relieves stress, it's good exercise, and he says I'm super tough so he can punch me a lot! If your master is still upset, ask her to give that a try. Can't hurt!)

[Anastasia can't believe what she saw. Now she finally understand and she very quickly looks very upset now.]
"I'm being asked out...by a tree monster?!"
[The young girl dropped her head onto the table in a distinct thud, startling her Sylveon. Sylvia looked at Trevenant.]
