ACTION; at the dream docks
[ The first thing Weiss had done when she woke up, after just sitting for a moment, had been to check her phone. Mayu's text was the first thing that she saw about Torchwick, so that was an issue she had to address as soon as she could. A look back at what she'd missed made it clear that he was going after Ruby and Weiss wouldn't let that happen. She needed to go home and see everyone. Now. She needed to make sure that when she walked in, she'd still be able to see the faces of those they'd lost.

Then.. then she'd figure it out. Weiss didn't have the luxury of sitting home crying, not here. She had work to do. She had to find some way to fix this. Aaand she also needed to make sure that the City Guardian's office hadn't gone to shambles because she left it in the hands of her Deputies who had just met that day. She couldn't mourn. She'd have enough time to do that alone, at home, back in Atlas.

Here she just had to find the people she cared about and protect them. If that meant coming down on crime a hundred times harder than normal, then so be it. Weiss too a deep breath, not checking if Sun and Jaune were awake yet, and turned her device to post. ]

VOICE
This is Nova City Guardian Weiss Schnee speaking.

As of this moment, Roman Torchwick is considered a wanted fugitive. I'll offer level 5 payment as a bounty, direct from the City Guardian office. I would encourage other City Guardians to list him as a high-profile criminal as well. Torchwick's list of crimes includes murder, theft, kidnapping, torture, evading the law and that's just from his previous experience in Genessia. Back home he's done much, much worse.

If you do not have experience fighting, do not approach him. Keep in mind that to keep him alive, you'll need to break his aura but not go beyond that except to disable him. I don't care what state you bring him in provided that he's alive and secure. No one's getting paid for killing him because killing him still means he's free. Anyone found aiding, abetting, harboring, or hiding information about Roman Torchwick is considered a criminal and will be dealt with appropriately.

ACTION; Open to Remnant House / Anyone who wants to visit?
[ Once Weiss had left the Dream Docks, she went home to change clothes and check everyone's rooms. Chances were, those who didn't know what was going on would've just been going about their lives normally, maybe at work or off doing whatever errands, but she still just wanted to see if anyone was home. She wanted to see anyone. She wasn't even bothering with privacy, instead just peeking her heads into doors as she knocked. ]

[Have a pretty familiar head of blond hair poking out from behind the door to her room.]

Oh hey Weiss. You back already? You missed Ruby returning you know. Something seems up though, what's going on back home?

[Yang's greeting is accompanied by her waving her right arm in greeting to her teammate, left hand fiddling with a small knife she was using to slice an apple.]

[Ruby had seen Weiss' post and felt... weird. Torchwick was after her, and her alone. She felt like this was something she needed to deal with. As such, she'll be outside her room's door, in her PJ's, waiting for Weiss.]

...Weiss, let me deal with Roman.

[He hadn't spoken since he woke up. He hadn't even moved. A distant part of his mind registered that Weiss was moving, was was awake, but nothing around him...none of it seemed real after that. How could he just go back to normal, after everything he had seen? How could any of them?

In Remnant, there wasn't any choice, but here...here there was. They were safe here. Pyrrha was safe.

Pyrrha.

How he had treated her--how he hadn't noticed, the most important thing. He was helpless, trapped, his vision distorting as he replayed it in his head, over and over. He couldn't--there was a horrible, cold feeling that he couldn't get rid of. He couldn't move, he should have tried harder.

At some point, midway through Weiss' post, her words started to float back to him. He didn't move, or say anything until she was done. When he spoke, his voice was small, lacking all of his usual false confidence, and his throat felt raw despite never screaming.]

Torchwick is here?

[Pyrrha was just reading a book at the time when she heard the knocking and saw Weiss.]

Oh! Weiss, you're back. [And considering how Ruby was acting before...] Please... come on in.

[She had so many questions. SO MANY. Setting the book off to the side now to give her undivided attention.]

[ ozpin allows weiss' broadcast to linger in the air for a moment, and he considers it carefully. it's good, to get the word out about roman torchwick, and weiss seems to hold a position of power here. well known, determined, calculating -- it's good to know that even outside of remnant, some things never change.

but there is business to be done, and every single student ozpin has talked to thusfar has acted as if he were dead. -- or, well, missing. but given the news of the day, he can hardly blame them. does weiss already know about pyrrha? does she already know about the fall of beacon, and vale? does she know about the failure to stop cinder?

when ozpin appears on camera, it's with a tired smile, and he seems to have holed himself up in a non-descript bookstore. a place to catch his breath, while also people-watching. the more he can obtain about this world, the better. ]

Miss Schnee.

[ his tone is warm, and his smile is genuine. ]

You've made quite the name for yourself, here.

[Ah, it warms his shriveled little heart to see that he's gotten under their skin that much. It also makes his life more difficult, but at this point, what's a little more trouble?]

Tsk tsk. What kind of a welcome is that, Ms. Schnee?

[There is a sigh from behind her. Sun is standing there looking at his device. A sigh for the new arrival, a sigh for what happened back in their world, a sigh for just..everything.]

Well, wasn't expecting to come back to this. [And Torchwick being back wasn't even the worst thing they had to deal with.]

Everything happened back home and frankly, you don't want to remember.

[ Yeah, Weiss is just walking over and shoving the knife hand out to the side so Yang doesn't stab her with it when she tries to hug her. Just deal with it, Yang. ]

Ruby!

[ Weiss's expectation of seeing Ruby here was basically none, but when she saw her, her face lit up and she came over. She almost asked what happened, but Ruby's words caught up to her. ]

No. [ She says it, plain and simple, stubborn. But after a moment, she offers an explanation. ]

I'm a City Guardian here, Ruby. He may have declared he's after you, but you're not the only one he's going to hurt along the way. I can't let him do that whether you have a beef with him or not.

That's...kinda what Ruby told me too.

[And then there's the hug. Yang sets down the knife slowly on the table before scooping up the heiress into her arms and lap. She's going to ignore protests on that action by the by.]

Whatever happened at home seems really bad. Do you...do you wanna talk about it?

[Immediately on the warpath, huh? David thinks that is a strong reaction, but he can't fault her for it.]

I wasn't aware he had such a long rap sheet from his last stay.

[ Once she'd finished the broadcast, she'd sat there for a few moments. She'd almost forgot Jaune was there. When he spoke up, the last thing she remembered was him screaming into the phone to save Pyrrha.

That thing she and Ruby hadn't managed to do. That one request. ]

Jaune-

[ Her throat tightened up immediately. ]

Yes. Mayu texted me to let me know while we were asleep. There's a post from him calling out Ruby- I don't know if she's actually here or if he's just really upset.

[ Weiss froze when she saw Pyrrha. If she'd gotten Ruby up there only a few seconds faster, maybe they could've saved her, but it didn't matter. She was here. She was here, and she was alive. ]

Pyrrha...

[ It'd been a long while since anything had gotten Weiss to cry. She hadn't had time back home, with everything. She'd wanted to, and no one would've known since her entire team was hospitalized, barely conscious if at all. Then her father had come, and..

Weiss couldn't even get a word out, or a step forward before her eyes started tearing up and she put the heels of her palms to her eyes to cover them. She didn't know what tod o, how to face Pyrrha. She'd tried to save them all, and she'd paid the price. All that was left was her headdress. ]

He has quite the track record, doesn't he?

[Liam frowns, although his interest is piqued. For no good reasons, of course, but he'll make it seem like he's genuinely concerned for the populace.]

If we encounter him, what is this man capable of?

[ The fact that Professor Ozpin was here was a bit of relief. At the very least, one benefit of her experiences in Genessia are that she's been through pain before. It still hurts more than she could possibly imagine, but she imagines she's much better at dealing with it now than anyone else will be.

Something Ozpin may notice more than that though, is that Weiss's features look a little more refined, slightly older. Not much, but it's clear she's not 17 here. ]

I've been here longer than most people from our world have. Sun's the only one who's been here longer than I have. When did you arrive?

A kinder one than you deserve, Torchwick. You don't sound surprised that you were here before, so I going to take a guess and assume you remember.

[This is... exactly what Pyrrha was worried about. She had no idea what happened, but judging by her reaction, it had to be about her somehow.]

W-Weiss? W-What's wrong?!

[Trying to be a good friend here....might not be a good idea right now. She considered trying to comfort her, but maybe she shouldn't touch her right now?[

[ indeed, he notices, but he doesn't comment upon it. not quite yet. instead, ozpin listens, and once he digests that -- ]

A few days ago, though I appear to have arrived alone.

[ no qrow, no glynda, no james. no cinder. ]

I've already spoken to several of your colleagues. [ though he does not mention names; blake had been fairly insistent on keeping her presence here a secret, and ozpin has no intention of breaking her trust right now when she would rather be alone. ] They've caught me up on what I've missed.

[ a delicate way of saying that he knows, should weiss know -- and if not, then it only means weiss can spare him the welcome speech. ]

Are you alright?

[ He just about took the words right out of her mouth. Weiss sighed and flopped back on the bed. It was a nightmare. If she just goes back to sleep, maybe she'll wake up from it.. but no, she can't be that irresponsible.

Weiss opens her eyes and looks over at Sun. ]

What happened after my father came for me? The towers were down, so I haven't had any news since.

Then you weren't paying enough attention.

[ She's not in a good mood, David. ] I'm sure he'll happily share with you all the gorey details if you don't want to believe me.

[He lets autopilot take over as he stands up. He hadn't spoken with Weiss since then. No one had said anything about her, but had she even been okay?]

We'll have to stop him. If Ruby isn't here, I doubt he'll just let it go. We need to do this, before anyone gets hurt.

[There's an unspoken 'if they haven't been already'.]

I brought my weapon with me. Did you need to stop by-- at...at the house.

I'm fairly certain I just listed it, unless you want me to completely break down his fighting style for you.

[ They don't really come. If it's Yang, she can tell her. Weiss is the one who doesn't hide things from her teammates, especially not when it's important. ]

All three of you were in the hospital. I don't know what happened to any of you, my father took me before I could get many details. Pyrrha and Penny are dead. The last I heard from Jaune was when he called me screaming to save Pyrrha. I sent Ruby up there alone and she ended up in a coma.

Even if Ruby is here, I doubt she's the only one he's going to hurt.

[ She looks at Jaune. ]

Last time I fought him, when I lost, it was because I was emotional. I'd just watched him kill Blake. We can't go after him today, not until we've calmed down a little.

I didn't ask for his list of atrocities and crimes. I asked just that, what we can expect if we were to enter combat with him.
