ACTION; at the dream docks
[ The first thing Weiss had done when she woke up, after just sitting for a moment, had been to check her phone. Mayu's text was the first thing that she saw about Torchwick, so that was an issue she had to address as soon as she could. A look back at what she'd missed made it clear that he was going after Ruby and Weiss wouldn't let that happen. She needed to go home and see everyone. Now. She needed to make sure that when she walked in, she'd still be able to see the faces of those they'd lost.

Then.. then she'd figure it out. Weiss didn't have the luxury of sitting home crying, not here. She had work to do. She had to find some way to fix this. Aaand she also needed to make sure that the City Guardian's office hadn't gone to shambles because she left it in the hands of her Deputies who had just met that day. She couldn't mourn. She'd have enough time to do that alone, at home, back in Atlas.

Here she just had to find the people she cared about and protect them. If that meant coming down on crime a hundred times harder than normal, then so be it. Weiss too a deep breath, not checking if Sun and Jaune were awake yet, and turned her device to post. ]

As of this moment, Roman Torchwick is considered a wanted fugitive. I'll offer level 5 payment as a bounty, direct from the City Guardian office. I would encourage other City Guardians to list him as a high-profile criminal as well. Torchwick's list of crimes includes murder, theft, kidnapping, torture, evading the law and that's just from his previous experience in Genessia. Back home he's done much, much worse.

If you do not have experience fighting, do not approach him. Keep in mind that to keep him alive, you'll need to break his aura but not go beyond that except to disable him. I don't care what state you bring him in provided that he's alive and secure. No one's getting paid for killing him because killing him still means he's free. Anyone found aiding, abetting, harboring, or hiding information about Roman Torchwick is considered a criminal and will be dealt with appropriately.

ACTION; Open to Remnant House / Anyone who wants to visit?
[ Once Weiss had left the Dream Docks, she went home to change clothes and check everyone's rooms. Chances were, those who didn't know what was going on would've just been going about their lives normally, maybe at work or off doing whatever errands, but she still just wanted to see if anyone was home. She wanted to see anyone. She wasn't even bothering with privacy, instead just peeking her heads into doors as she knocked. ]

[ Yeah, Weiss is just walking over and shoving the knife hand out to the side so Yang doesn't stab her with it when she tries to hug her. Just deal with it, Yang. ]

[Ruby had seen Weiss' post and felt... weird. Torchwick was after her, and her alone. She felt like this was something she needed to deal with. As such, she'll be outside her room's door, in her PJ's, waiting for Weiss.]

[ Weiss's expectation of seeing Ruby here was basically none, but when she saw her, her face lit up and she came over. She almost asked what happened, but Ruby's words caught up to her. ]

No. [ She says it, plain and simple, stubborn. But after a moment, she offers an explanation. ]

I'm a City Guardian here, Ruby. He may have declared he's after you, but you're not the only one he's going to hurt along the way. I can't let him do that whether you have a beef with him or not.

[He hadn't spoken since he woke up. He hadn't even moved. A distant part of his mind registered that Weiss was moving, was was awake, but nothing around him...none of it seemed real after that. How could he just go back to normal, after everything he had seen? How could any of them?

In Remnant, there wasn't any choice, but here...here there was. They were safe here. Pyrrha was safe.

Pyrrha.

How he had treated her--how he hadn't noticed, the most important thing. He was helpless, trapped, his vision distorting as he replayed it in his head, over and over. He couldn't--there was a horrible, cold feeling that he couldn't get rid of. He couldn't move, he should have tried harder.

At some point, midway through Weiss' post, her words started to float back to him. He didn't move, or say anything until she was done. When he spoke, his voice was small, lacking all of his usual false confidence, and his throat felt raw despite never screaming.]

Torchwick is here?

[ Once she'd finished the broadcast, she'd sat there for a few moments. She'd almost forgot Jaune was there. When he spoke up, the last thing she remembered was him screaming into the phone to save Pyrrha.

That thing she and Ruby hadn't managed to do. That one request. ]

[ Her throat tightened up immediately. ]

Yes. Mayu texted me to let me know while we were asleep. There's a post from him calling out Ruby- I don't know if she's actually here or if he's just really upset.

[Pyrrha was just reading a book at the time when she heard the knocking and saw Weiss.]

Oh! Weiss, you're back. [And considering how Ruby was acting before...] Please... come on in.

[She had so many questions. SO MANY. Setting the book off to the side now to give her undivided attention.]

[ Weiss froze when she saw Pyrrha. If she'd gotten Ruby up there only a few seconds faster, maybe they could've saved her, but it didn't matter. She was here. She was here, and she was alive. ]

[ It'd been a long while since anything had gotten Weiss to cry. She hadn't had time back home, with everything. She'd wanted to, and no one would've known since her entire team was hospitalized, barely conscious if at all. Then her father had come, and..

Weiss couldn't even get a word out, or a step forward before her eyes started tearing up and she put the heels of her palms to her eyes to cover them. She didn't know what tod o, how to face Pyrrha. She'd tried to save them all, and she'd paid the price. All that was left was her headdress. ]

[ ozpin allows weiss' broadcast to linger in the air for a moment, and he considers it carefully. it's good, to get the word out about roman torchwick, and weiss seems to hold a position of power here. well known, determined, calculating -- it's good to know that even outside of remnant, some things never change.

but there is business to be done, and every single student ozpin has talked to thusfar has acted as if he were dead. -- or, well, missing. but given the news of the day, he can hardly blame them. does weiss already know about pyrrha? does she already know about the fall of beacon, and vale? does she know about the failure to stop cinder?

when ozpin appears on camera, it's with a tired smile, and he seems to have holed himself up in a non-descript bookstore. a place to catch his breath, while also people-watching. the more he can obtain about this world, the better. ]

[ his tone is warm, and his smile is genuine. ]

[ The fact that Professor Ozpin was here was a bit of relief. At the very least, one benefit of her experiences in Genessia are that she's been through pain before. It still hurts more than she could possibly imagine, but she imagines she's much better at dealing with it now than anyone else will be.

Something Ozpin may notice more than that though, is that Weiss's features look a little more refined, slightly older. Not much, but it's clear she's not 17 here. ]

I've been here longer than most people from our world have. Sun's the only one who's been here longer than I have. When did you arrive?

[and there she was, the one that had captured his interest since the moment he arrived in genessia. just hearing her voice was enough to fill him with absolute glee. it was time to continue on with his little charade, and getting weiss to trust him was certainly a massive step towards his true goal. even though he had been placed in another world entirely, he would strive to be the perfect culprit of this realm as well. he will kill, he will fulfill his desires as well as his creator, and it will be magnificent.

hearing what she had to say now however.... aha- it was clear that this was an extremely sensitive topic. a criminal on the loose? a bounty on his head...? this could be just what he needed to get closer to her. although, this roman torchwick sounded interesting, he would have to pay him a visit sometime. for now however, he simply withheld all his true feelings and kept up with his own game.]

That's.... just awful, all of it. I don't even know how I feel about having a man like that walking around! I-I'm not a fighter so... I don't think I would be much help in this kind of scenario, I'm afraid.

[Weiss may find that there is a house guest present when she gets home. Athrun is there, and he looks concerned. He's already spoken to Ruby, so he has a general idea of what's going on, but he'd like to hear from the others.]

[He lifts a hand as though to reach out to her, but he doesn't actually reach out. He has no idea how welcome a hand on the shoulder would be.]

[ Athrun.. Weiss wasn't expecting to see anyone other than her housemates here. She wasn't exactly looking to try to stay as professional as possible until she could get through some of this. ]

Of course not. But I'm doing the best I can.

[ That much was honestly true. Weiss was probably the least scathed of anyone in this house next to Sun, even if she wasn't alright. It was at least enough that she could handle her business, especially with the practice of dealing with trauma in Genessia already. ]

After Armin, I made it a personal goal to destroy Roman in a way no other person could ever dream of, and as a telepath I can do that without killing him immediately. It would be a mercy if someone else finds him first so I'll wait five days.
