[Video/Action] Yelling!
[The video feed starts up to show a blurry green tube of a finger with more shades of green to either side. Peridot's voice is muffled by her clumsy grip on the videophone but she is clearly yelling.]
Stupid, stupid communicator... thing! Rargh! Why can't I be somewhere that makes sense?! Ugh, fine! Here-
[The video feed turns even more green and zooms a few feet away from scowling Gem, held up by a beam coming out of her stumpy 'palm.' Somehow she already looks worse for wear, missing one foot of her limb enhancers, a smudge of dirt on her visor, and triangular hair a mess.]
Grrr, okay! This thing works right? Not well enough to contact Yellow Diamond- [grumble] -but someone can hear me right?! Ugh, I hate this cruddy old tech. I need to find a way to contact Homeworld! I am not getting stuck on another backwater planet! This one better not be about to explode.
There has to be another Gem here, a warp pad, something! If you Crystal Clods are here you better leave me alone! I'll- I'll blast you to dust if you don't! Urgggh, that would be my luck. I bet those- those idiotic clods are behind this. First they stranded me on Earth and now I'm stranded here! None of this makes sense, what's currency? What's a child?!
Rargh!
[Peridot's agitated flailing breaks the beam holding the videophone and it lands on the grass, face down. The screen is dark for several seconds while Peridot can be heard ranting above. When she picks the phone back up, she's realized how to hold it without obscuring the camera and looks more sullen than enraged.]
Ahem. I am Peridot and I demand someone tell me how to get off this horrible- er, uh, whatever! This planet, I want to get out of here!
[Action] -- chose a location
Peridot can be found limping around, alternating between yelling at harmless objects, hiding from things like rain and loud noises, and pouting. Often she has a floating green screen up to rant at. It appears she is having a very drawn out and very mobile temper tantrum. Her attempts to find a way off Genessia or figure out things like street signs and organic life are not going well.
Beware flailing metal limbs and hurled objects when she's ranting and stomping about.

[She looks thoughtful for a moment.]
Unless Gems like living outside. It's not like I'd judge or anything! But if you don't want to, you're going to need to get currency. Which means getting a job.

[Peridot was a bright one but she had little to no experience with anything outside Gem tech.]

[And Peridot doesn't even know what it means to buy things? Oh boy, Tori has her work cut out for her... but Peridot did say please like Tori asked, so it's the least Tori can do. Keeping to her word and all that.]
Buying something basically means you're exchanging a certain amount of currency for something else. For example, I'm a tailor here in Genessia. That means I'll make custom clothing for whoever asks and gives me the amount of currency I ask for. [Tori's just going to assume that Peridot knows what clothing is. Peridot's... wearing some, isn't she? That's what it looks like to Tori.] But you can buy a lot of different stuff! Food, entertainment...

So... The purpose of gaining a job here is for extraneous things like shelter and appearance modifiers? I mean, shelter is nice but why go through the trouble of assigning oneself to an assignment just for that? How bad can the weather get? I guess this is useful information.

[She sure as hell wasn't aware that on some planet or another, they were sentient. It's actually pretty interesting.]
The newspaper provides weather reports, but you need currency for that, too. Not much, though.

[She wonders if she should mention the Paperboy and his penchant for breaking windows. Eh. For now, she'll focus on answering the other question of Peridot's.]
As for other reports the newspaper has... well, there's quite a few articles covering what's going on around here as of late. They're pretty snarky, but that can be entertaining! Then there's the bounties. Those could help with your currency problem a little. Not permanently, of course, but hey! It's something, right?

I would like to know what is happening here, so I can avoid it. [She would try at least.]
I don't know what these bounties are but if they're simple enough I could do them I'm sure.

[She has a feeling that 'waiting' is not something Peridot does well, though. ...not that she isn't the same, in the long run, but.]
There's new bounties every week, so I'm sure some of them are simple enough!
