I'm not the greatest ad spokesperson in the world, but as usual, if you know science, the Genessian Scientific Research Foundation could use your help. We're seriously understaffed right now and the more people we have working, the more likely we are to find something. I'm a surgeon-turned-assistant medical examiner-turned-pathologist, there are only so many possibilities I can cover or you'd probably be getting more frequent updates, Genessia.
How many of you are from the U.S.? I know this isn't exactly the home-of-the-brave here, but I'll admit to missing out on barbecues and fireworks. Is anyone doing anything tomorrow?
locked to blaine (or action if he's around the apt or her work, whichever you want)
Where have you been?
action for toby
[ Liv had categorically refused to go into Everglade unless someone needed her help. Fortunately, there were enough healers around that it hadn't really become an issue. Not enough that anyone ever sent out a call for a medical doctor anyway. All of those people tended to end up at a hospital of some kind if they weren't healed immediately.
Which is why when she was on her way to meet Toby, she always insisted they meet at the Everglade gate. She'd found that it was kind of nice having a person around who understood why she couldn't tell her secret who wasn't also busy with work all the time (David, as good of a friend as he was to her) or seemed to think it was a big cosmic joke (Blaine, the man who infected her in the first place). As it turned out, as with back home, the more people she could trust the better she felt about anything. Even if she still hadn't found her purpose, she was still trying. THat was better than the first time- no couch-bound Liv today.
She wasn't sure where they were going today, just that they'd decided to hang out, so Liv waited by the archway gate, messing around on her phone while she waited. ]

there's a brief pause because ugh. he doesn't want to be up about exercising at 4:30 am. who does that? but whatever. brains are brains. he probably won't mind that later when they kick in. ]
Don't know. One second I'm totally human being tortured - having the worst time, by the way. And it just - [ snaps his fingers to emphasize ] Full on zombie mode kicks in out of nowhere. Got a bullet in my head. Wake up later and [ gestures at himself ] We're back to square one. Think the intense situation jump started the inevitable return to the z-club. Which is such a bummer, let me tell you. I feel way worse than the first time.
action;
You took a bullet to the head? You died-died and came back as a zombie still?
[ Wait, wait again- "Try making more now, bitch." Ahaha. That had been what she had said and now she's kind of nervous since there are zero zombies besides the two of them and he doesn't need a funeral home because there's no one to supply brains to. ] You'd better not scratch anyone or try to start any business here, Blaine. I'll start taking brains home more frequently so neither of us starves so long as you promise me.
action;
[ what is she thinking he'll do. she only let's him stay here to keep an eye on him. she's going to watch him like a hawk, isn't she? ]
Relaaaax. I really don't want to know what happens when you spread zombie around in a confined space. But I'm going to need something to do. I can't keep tasting wine I can't taste.
Re: action;
[ Last time she left him alone he murdered a bunch of kids and turned all the rich people into zombies to sell the murdered kids to. ]
Good because my guess is it would involve overturning the brain-to-zombie ratio. What do you like to do that doesn't involve eating or murder?
action;
[ you kill a bunch of kids one time... ]
Yeah, I don't like sharing all that much when the sources are low. [ crosses his arms ] Have sex. [ ha ha- he shakes his head. serious answers. ] I'm weirdly tempted to say jogging right now. Let's see, as far as job applicable hobbies that are Liv Moore approval-worthy, I'm going to say music and ...No, wait that involves food. I am so mad about the food thing right now.
action;
[ Okay, maybe. But luckily security is a little better at Genessia Hospital than the Seattle morgue. It's easier to just make food out of some of it down there and sneak it out in a lunch bag. ]
Jogging is probably the brain. Music, though. There's a theater in GC.
action;
[ eyes her skeptically but brains is brains is brains. liv is the one with her hands on the supply chain right now. ]
We got a tough crowd over there.
action;
[ She's pretty sure at this point she should be opening up her own charcuterie. Except she doesn't charge anyone and the law enforcement leader is aware, so it's a good way to keep competition from arising. ]
Music.. teacher? [ At least that way you only have to be good and not popular. ]
action;
[ liv monopolized the market on body parts / organs. way to go. ]
Most of my students would be teenagers. [ LIV. ]
Re: action;
[ So at least he's not the only one displaced from his preferred professions. ]
Teenagers which I assume, if you taught at an actual business like the theater or one of the trade academies or even the local music shop, the students would be on a list and accounted for unless you don't want brains anymore.

[ siiiigh ]
I'm not saying I would do anything. But you made such a big deal out of that. I'll look into it.
action;
[ She gives him a semi-patronizing smile, but at least it's a smile. ] At least it's still something you can enjoy.
