The Firefly Masquerade post is here]
no subject
[He's bouncing on his heels again like a toddler. Katze has trouble staying still when he's excited.
It's oddly...cute.]
Is cotton candy tasty like jellybeans? If so, sign me up!
no subject
It does since they both taste like sugar. [Sugar is a passion that Airy can get behind.]
Let's get some! I think you'll like the pink best but I'll get blue so you can try both.
[She doesn't care what anyone says, they taste different.]
no subject
[If Airy thinks Berg Katze is a little hyper now, imagine after he consumes the cotton candy. He'll be buzzing around here like a cracked out hornet sure enough.]
Here's a riddle for you, Airy, and it's sugary sweet. What's the tastiest thing that all humans like?
no subject
[She has to think about that. Airy has a passion for food and while she has favorites and top 5's she never puts them in any particular order. It really depends how she feels. Asking about all humans is harder. She wants to say popcorn but she knows people, crazy people, who don't like popcorn.]
I don't know.
[She'd know if she had google.]
no subject
C'mon! Try! Just don't give up like that.
[She's not as fun as Hajime! At least Hajime tried to decode his riddles.]
I'll give you a hint. It's sweet.
no subject
[Airy's overthinking the problem to much to have an educated guess.]
I also don't think people use the word tastiest so it really depends on your definition of the word...
I'll guess chocolate.
no subject
[So he thinks. There's actually sugar in both.]
Nope, wrong! Chocolate is sugary and sweet but I'm talkin' about something not a candy!
[Mentioning candy, where's the cotton candy at?! Katze is searching about for the vendor as they speak.]
no subject
[At least reading the ingredients lists told her that.]
Not candy but sweet? Cake?
[Airy points over to the stand that has cotton candy as well as as few other carnival treats.]
This way.
no subject
[Natural sugars? Buh?! Katze is confused.]
Pzzzzt! Wrong! Definitely not a cake but it can be used in a ingredients for a cake. I think.
[Makes a beeline for all the goodies. Guess who's gonna get fat? KATZE!]
no subject
[She'll find Katze a book on food and drop it off at his apartment sometime.]
It can? Vanilla?
no subject
[He legitimately like cream of corn but only had it about twice in his life.]
Nope! Not vanilla since it doesn't come from a plant.
[He's getting two giant cotton candy puffs on a stick. The pink one!]
no subject
[She's definitely getting him a book about food.]
What about icing? That's on cake, not really in it though.
[Airy steps up next and orders a blue one. She always feels like blue tastes best. She lightly tests the spongy spun sugar before pulling off a long string and gathering it in her mouth.]
no subject
[Katze literally knows nothing about food other than jelly beans and cream corn. He likes sweet stuff but doesn't know anything about how candy is made.]
Wrong again, Airy! Think organic.
[He says before taking a huge bite out of the sugary concoction. A sound of pure delight escapes his lips.]
S-So good. This is...magical.
no subject
Technically most things start as organic.
[She points this out but still keeps thinking: it's in a cake, organic, sweet and a lot of people like it.]
The base ingredients of a cake are eggs, flour, sugar, water, salt, butter, baking powder, you can have cream or milk too, vanilla. [She looks over at Katze.] That's it and most of those aren't naturally sweet though they have sugar in them.
[She really has no idea.]
no subject
[The goof says as he continues to snack on his candy. This stuff is good! So good that Katze is quietly nomming. He's happily munching away.]
Yet none of them are as tasty as honey.
[The answer was "honey".]
no subject
[Airy pauses.]
Honey is in cake?
[She's never heard of that.]
I know Honey doesn't go bad.
[She continues to eat her cotton candy though a lot slower than Katze.]
no subject
[Oh boy! He doesn't want to eat fake processed foods bit jellybeans are great!]
Isn't honey in cake? How else do they get so sweet? Sugar can't do everything!
no subject
[Airy nods, most candies are processed. They really have to be though she has no idea what those processes entail. She's watch some of 'how its made' when she was sick as a kid. It was that or Scooby-do and she honestly doesn't remember much of either.]
Sugar is just... sweet and there is honey in some cakes but not most. Unlike sugar which just tastes sweet, honey can have a flavor depending on what flower it comes from or what bee.
At least, I think so.
no subject
[He narrows his eyes a little in disbelief. Did he really get it all wrong.]
Gosh, that's a shocker.
[He munches quietly for a moment as he ponders.]
You know, I don't know much about humans other than all of them usually being cowards or jerks.
[He's having an epiphany here, Airy.]
no subject
Yeah um.... how many people have you meet? There are all kinds of people. More types than I think you can count.
[Though Airy knows a lot of jerks, she doesn't know many cowards.]
no subject
[He let's out a thoughtful hum.]
I met lots and lots of people! Plenty to deem you humans as absolutely worthless~
[Of course he's joking, right? Right? Katze goes back to munching again.]
Okay! Maybe not COMPLETELY worthless. Some of you folks are amusing and make good treats.
no subject
[Airy can't argue that groups of people are ridiculous.]
Or are you judging before you get to know them? You should really give people a chance, they'll surprise you.
no subject
[Dammit, Airy! Stop making him think! Katze doesn't do well with critical thinking. Nope. Not at all.]
Surprise me how? I gave one a chance and she locked me up in her soul!
no subject
[Airy laughs, turning towards Katze with her fingers laced behind her back.]
If I... [Her voice trails off and she waves a hand in the air. Seemingly from nowhere a rainbow glides from where Airy's palm had just been located, falling down to the ground like a waterfall.] did something like this?
no subject
Wait how---HUH!? [Katze stares at the colorful blond with pure shock. He has no idea what the hell she did to make that rainbow suddenly appear but he's surprised.]
Eh!? Humans aren't suppose to be able to do stuff like that!
[Do it again, Airy! Do it again!]
