The Firefly Masquerade post is here]
no subject
[He said that pretty confidently, being that the butterfly people were 'good guys' and the moth people were 'bad guys'.
With the other man's body leaning on his, he flushed a little. Only Thistle ever got that close. Not that he minded at all. Once he got over the initial shock and relaxed some, he settled into it.
It felt warm. And cozy. He looked pretty happy there like that.]
H-Have you tried any rides?
no subject
Rides? [He shakes his head.] Nope! I watched a few but I didn't get on one.
[Katze might be too tall for a ride or two.]
no subject
M-Maybe we can go on some? I-I didn't get to ride m-much, either...
[He wasn't scared, exactly. He just shied away from stuff when he was on his own.
He happily nommed away on his food, not shy at all about that.]
no subject
[Katze is in a good mood. He's literally up for anything this evening but they're going to need a fish sitter.]
Hey, do you know where Airy went? She gotta watch our school of fishies here.
[He points over towards the little fish bowl beside him. The fish are totally just staring at them with the bright pink Bubbles leading the pack.]
no subject
He popped the last takoyaki ball in his mouth and swallowed, setting down his chopsticks on the counter. For how awkward he was, he did manage to get the food into his mouth.]
I-I'm not sure...
[He looked behind them.]
Th-There's a lot of people h... here. Maybe... Maybe we could s-split up and look for her?
[Wait, then how would they find each other?]
And... And meet up over there?
[He pointed at the ferris wheel, since it was huge and easy to find.]
no subject
That girl looked glum as hell earlier when Katze ran into her. So, so, so sad! Something is up with Miss Sunshine but Katze doesn't know and he frankly doesn't care! He's s brat like that.
Katze eats the rest of his takoyaki and smiles happily like a cat who ate the canary. He's nice and full now and quite happy.]
Sure! Let's split up and hunt down the Bubble Girl!
[Once he spots the ferris wheel, Katze hops out of his chair and starts bouncing around again.]
Yes, yes, yes! Let's do that! Please~?
no subject
But, he was with Katze right now, and he wanted to make him happy. And the ferris wheel seemed to have him excited.]
O-Okay. When we get back.
[Not a problem. He'd like to see the ferris wheel, too.
He split up, wandering northward to try and find Airy. His path was weaving and random, taking a slow pace around the festival for a while.
When he didn't find her, he headed back and took a seat on the bench in front of the ferris wheel, waiting for Katze to arrive back.]
no subject
[Katze snickers once the shy one wanders off. He picks up his fish babies and heads off in the other direction. Unlike Bracken, he actually found Airy after literally flying through the festival. Sometimes being some sort of cosmic space alien has it's perks.
He dumps the fish off on Airy and zooms right towards the Ferris Wheel quickly.]
Bracken? Bracken!
[He crashes down onto the blond like a cannonball.]
Yay! Let's go! Let's go!
no subject
Katze certainly had a lot more energy and 'go go' spirit than he did.
He fumbled to his feet, still holding onto Katze. He wasn't a particularly strong guy. He wasn't a warrior or some type of melee fighter with the big muscles, but he still had the strength of a guy his size.]
O-Okay.
[He started forward carefully.]
no subject
Does the ferris wheel go really high? I can probably fly higher!
[Poor, poor, Bracken. He's stuck with this bizarre alien for
lifethe evening.]no subject
Mhmm. I-It takes people all the way to the t-top of the ferris wheel.
T-Two please.
[He spoke to the attendant in front of the ride, and carefully carried Katze up to the seat. It was a relief when he could turn around and plop down. It was a lot easier sitting with someone on his lap than walking.]
I-I can't fly at all. But... But I could have the e-earth raise me higher.
no subject
Katze been trying to be at his good best behavior tonight! Just a ton of weird things keep happening but none are weirder than him spending most of his night with this chubby blond, Bracken. This is the weirdest thing ever but Katze can't complain. He gotten new pets, free food, and now a free ride on the ferris wheel.]
You can do what? [Katze blinks his eyes a little once Bracken mentions something about the earth. The blond is an odd one. Sometimes Katze thinks the guy is high or something.] Come again?
[The alien shrugs his shoulders and goes back to cuddling as the ferris wheel starts to move.]
E-Eh? It's starting?
no subject
Besides that, though he knew full well what a ferris wheel was, he had no memories of ever being on one.]
J-Just raising the earth. Like... Like a spell.
[He didn't think much of it, used to having magic, even if it was different here.]
no subject
[Bracken could probably feel Katze's stare from beneath those long bangs. It seems that the alien forgotten that the blond can wield magic. The very concept of 'magic' is actually foreign to Katze a little. He doesn't get it.]
You can make the ground lift you up? How though? The ground listens to you?
[His arms around Bracken tighten a little once shivers run through him. It's getting cooler out and this latex kimono isn't very warm.]
no subject
...S-Sort of?
[He had never thought about it as ground or water or anything 'listening' to him, but it made enough sense.]
I-I just think of what I want, and it... it happens.
[That's how it had always been and he accepted it.
He leaned back in his seat, getting comfortable. Sitting there with someone nestled in his arms was nice.]
I... I could show you, later.
no subject
It's a daunting task since he's out here all alone in some strange world but he's feels actually safe right now in Bracken's arms. That's another reason why he's even allowing any kind of physical contact.
Normally, he would just be slicing and dicing people until the cows come home.]
Yes, yes! You better. I want to see what this magic stuff looks like.
[Katze says before peering out the window a little.]
This is pretty high! I can see the entire festival.
[His tail absentmindedly wraps around Bracken's leg.]
no subject
[He didn't think of his magic as anything particularly special, but he was more than happy to show it to people.
For Bracken, this height was a view he didn't often get, so he looked over the festival happily. In the evening he could see all the lights people had put out for their shops and such. So many colors, so bright and vivid.
He wasn't entirely shocked when Katze's tail wrapped around his leg. He'd seen it before, though he hadn't entirely taken in its composition. But, they were here now, and nothing else was going on, so he could ask.]
Wh... What is that?
no subject
[Katze answers quickly as he keeps peering out the window. The shy mage will have to be more direct to get an answer from him.]
no subject
A-Around my leg.
no subject
[A childish chuckle escapes Katze as he moves his tail off Bracken's leg. The tail in question is a skinny black one shaped like little diamonds. It's quite long and thin looking despite definitely being sharp.]
I can pick up things with my tail! I can also do that with my toes but I lose balance when I try.
no subject
[He reached forward to curiously touch it with a finger.]
C-Can it feel stuff? It... It looks like jewelry.
no subject
Eh, sure. [Or not. What the fuck, Katze? Why you letting him pet your tail?!] Be careful. The edges are a little sharp.
[He gently pokes the end of his tail at Bracken's finger. The tail itself must feel a tad cold much like steel. It's smooth and shines a little within the dull gleam of the carnival. Katze's tail seems to be made out of this odd mix of metals and minerals native to his peculiar race.]
no subject
He slid the tip of his finger over the flat part. It made him think of a sword, the way it felt. Carefully, he reached out with his other hand. Though he made like he was going to grab it, he didn't. More, he made a half-circle with his hand around it, like he was going to keep it from getting blown away as he curiously studied it.]
It... It looks like a bracelet. I-I didn't know that tails could look like th-this.
no subject
It does, doesn't it? [On cue, Katze wraps his tail loosely around Bracken's arm.] I have the same markings on my body too, around the neck and down the spine.
no subject
R-Really?
[Of course, he'd seen some stuff. It was right there.]
W-Were you born with it, or, is that something that y... that you did?
[He was genuinely curious. Katze was a brand new race for him.]
