Valentine's Date Auction [Open]

Valentine's Auction & Party!

WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start. The GCPD are in attendance as well to help keep the peace.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

[She might have a point on that. Though in his defense, she thought that he is also a "girly-girl".]

[He can agree to that. Sure, Lee, Marc, and Megan seemed annoying in his eyes, but they are family to him and nothing can change that.

However, he wonders if Anastasia has any siblings as well.]

Yeah. What about you? Do you have any older or younger sibs back home?

"No. I have no brothers or sisters. I'm an only child."

Oh, I'm sorry again...

It must be a little lonely for you to live alone with your parents...

"Well, I wasn't completely alone. I had maids...and a guard...and a pet bunny my father doesn't know about."

[Yeah, it was lonely.]

But since you're in Genessia, you're not really alone in here since you got a guardian on your side, right?

[It's true considering that he did meet some other residents after his arrival.]

"I suppose so. But she recently had to go away to investigate something."

[She does have a pet, but it's difficult to have meaningful conversations with pets.]

[Once he hears this, he then wonders how to make Anastasia less lonely. Besides, he feels a little guilty of her being alone or being bid on during the date auction.

That is until he gets an idea.]

Well, what about me?

[She blinks a couple of times as she tilts her head to the side inquisitively.]

"I don't understand... What about you?"

I mean we can be friends and hang out together in your free time. You know, so you won't get lonely.

"I have no problems with that. So yes, let's be friends."

[Well, he doesn't have a girlfriend, but at least he made a friend. Plus, he hopes that she won't be lonely.]

Cool. Then we're officially friends!

[He can't sure if he can remember this back home, but he can't wait to tell his siblings that he made a girlfriend, but just a friend-friend.]

[This is rather exciting. A friend her own age who is a boy. While Tony is not the first, he is certainly very different from Mamoru.]

"Okay, so now what?"

Maybe we can hang out at an arcade sometime. You know, after your date with a winner...

[He maybe a kid, but he still hasn't forgot her auction.]

[She wouldn't call it a date. Especially seeing who just bid on her for 377. It's going to end up being more of a philosophical discussion that makes no sense.]

"An arcade? I've always wanted to go to one."

I haven't visited one in here yet, but I can show you some games that we can enjoy together.

[Despite he's mostly into action games, he can try to help her try out some other games that she can enjoy.]

"Okay, since you're offering. Though, many have offered before and nothing came from it, so you're likely in for a challenge."

[There have been at least three or four attempts, so she's not really getting her hopes up.]

[As he can guess from Anastasia's words, he can tell others tried to recommend her to some games, but failed.]

Don't worry, I like a challenge. As long we can have fun together.

"Well then, I'll certainly look forward to it. I should be free this weekend."

[Lies. She is always free, except for Valentine's Day. Probably.]

[Looks like he's got a date. But more like a friendly one rather a real date.]

That's cool! But what time and place should we meet?

"The only arcade I know of in Nova City is the Aphrodite Arcade and Match-Making... I think that's the name."

[That certainly will imply a date, but that is, regrettably, the only arcade she knows of.]

"Let us meet there Friday at noon?"

That's okay. Plus, I can visit Nova City at the same time!

[However, he still needs to find out how to get to that city and while he did get a map of the city, he might have a chance to ignore getting another one for Nova City.]

Sure, I'm up for it.

"Okay, so I will see you this weekend. And with that, it's probably time for me to go home now."

[There is no way her absence from home wouldn't be figured out by now.]

Yeah, me too.

[He loves to stay for a while, but between this and that humiliating encounter with a strange ghost, he needed plenty of rest after an exciting Valentine's party.]
