Caramelized bacon with crystallized egg yolk, to end on a dessert note of anti-griddle-frosted mango sabayon. It's good but..

[ It's not good enough. She sounds disappointed in herself. Her hand comes and slowly pushes the glass of breakfast into the sink, where it goes to waste. She goes slow enough that it almost looks like a tragedy when the perfectly crisp bacon hits the sink and breaks in its fragility, the mango sabayon tripping down the sink slowly like the spilled blood of breakfasts in some kind of breakfast war. ]

Everyone's worlds have so much more to offer in advancing my cooking and I haven't taken enough advantage. Tell me about your world's cuisine, please! In particular, breakfast. We'll worry about the other meals later, one step at a time.

Okay but that "one man's trash is another man's treasure" saying thing totally applies to everything you cook because even your shitty food is like four thousand times better than grandma's best. Like to the average person that was like watching someone pour money down a garbage disposal. It was a greek tragedy.

You know grandmothers don't actually cook any better than anyone else, it's just the positive associations of memory that stimulates the production of dopamine in your brain that cause a more positive experience whether the food is good or not. [ Fun fact. ]

Wait. Everyone's been full of shit about how good grandmothers cook because they just have crazy biased brains? Man. I'm almost glad I never had one. That might've fucked up my taste buds.

Mhm. Grandmothers don't have magic, they have neuroscience and nostalgia.

But if you become a grandmother in the future, right? Is it the neuroscience and nostalgia still a factor or is grandma's cooking actually the best now?
