Let the Cirque du Vrai begin!

OOC: The event starts today. It affects Attleton. Players can make their own posts and have fun with it or they can reply to this post with top levels and have fun that way! Up to you! There will be a separate log posted for the Showstopper on the 29th. Please note that if your character tries to enter the circus without a mask and costume (cannot be something your character already owned because it's not a disguise if it's theirs), they'll be prevented from getting in one way or the other. Don't try to get around it and don't try to be like WELL NO ONE CAN STOP MY CHARACTER!! If your character goes right past them they'll find themselves in the field the next day the second they go past the gates, capiche?? No cheating it's not fun for anyone.



As the sun sets in Attleton, a strange haze seems to glow over the barrier for a few moments before in the distance, a sequence of lights flickers on. The entrance sign first, then tents and merry-go-rounds and booths and all manner of dizzying fun illuminate just as darkness falls. It doesn't take more than a few seconds for the sounds of cheers and fun to fill the Attleton air. It almost seems like it's calling to you, inviting you in. As you approach, a man on stilts greets you. He explains that the flyers that have been floating around town with the wind and on the walls were all for this, the Cirque du Vrai! Become someone else to become yourself, step right up! You don't need to buy a ticket, you just need to buy a costume.

"There's a costume shop right next to the entrance for those who aren't prepared, and a master mask maker who will create any mask you desire, or leave it up to him once he decides what he thinks suits you. If you brought your own, that's fine too! The Cirque is here for days, there's time to spare! Don't let reservations drive you to despair! You'll miss out on fun if you let your life run all over the mystery we've so prestigiously spun. Test your skills, test your wills, find your chills, thrills, and pills. Here it is, the moment you've been waiting for is just beyond the gate! Accept who you are and you'll need none to commiserate!"

The man laughs, leaving before you can ask what that means to invite another in, and the game begins. Welcome to the Cirque du Vrai. Enjoy.

[He doesn't need to give her any second thoughts about it. In fact, he really wants to give her what she wants.]

Well then, shall we?

[He then leads her to some of the carnival games with the first booth being the milk bottles, which he has plans to get those prizes one way or another.]

Yes, please!

*Sonico giggles softly and smiles at him sweetly, inching that little bit closer to him again. Every so often she gazes up at him, not that she can see much of his face thanks to the mask*

Did you...come to the circus alone?

Of course. I was hoping to find a beautiful lady such as yourself so I can guide you to a magnificent evening.

[In reality, he's just here to enjoy the circus. But the circus's magic began to affect his thoughts to the point that he really thinks he's here to find any women to flirt.

Then once the booth owner gives him three balls to throw, he toss the first one to the milk bottles, which is a complete miss.]

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico smiles and giggles again at being called beautiful. That's really rather nice. In turn, she touches his arm lightly*

Really? Well...a magnificent evening sounds...magical to me.

*But then he misses with hitting the milk bottles, and that's a little less impressive*

Try again. Maybe next time!

Not to worry, I am certain this second one will hit.

[Unknown to Sonico, he secretly pulls out a Poke Ball from his belt and releases his Shuppet from it.

Then just as he threw his second ball to the milk bottles, it managed to hit, but only two of the bottles as the owner told him he only gets the last chance to hit all of the bottles.]

*Sonico, under the charms of the circus, isn't sure how to react to this. Surely the love of her life would be able to knock them all down. But at the same time, if he is the love of her life, then she should be encouraging*

With this last one, I am wishing with all my heart for you to win!

[He is certainly will as he throws his last ball to the restacked bottles, Noir then went over to the milk bottles and quickly knocks them over as soon the ball hits them, creating an illusion that he managed to knock all of them in one clean shot.

Of course, the booth owner is completely shocked at this turn of events as most of the crowd witnessed what just happened. Sycamore, on the other hand, just smiled at the "outcome" as he takes the huge plush toy as his prize, which he then gives it to Sonico.]

Here, for the most beautiful lady of all.

[sonicosuper]

*That display catches Sonico's attention more, causing her to smile brightly as she claps her hands together in a more enthusiastic applause*

Oh, thank you! What a prize!

*She takes it from him gratefully and gives the plush a big tight squeeze*

[Usually, he will feel guilty on unfairly earning the prize. Yet the circus's influences made him forget those feelings as he is just happy to see her enjoy her gift.]

I hope you will cherish this gift of our meeting for tonight.

[He then bows down to her in a gentleman-like manner.]

Oh, I will!

*Sonico couldn't look more delighted with the plush she held in her arms. After she's warmed it for a moment or two, Sonico offers the plush to him*

Would you like to hug him? He's warm and cuddly.

[He would try to say no, but since she really likes him and her gift, he complied and hugs the plush toy for a few seconds.]

You're right. He really is warm and cuddly. I hope you can take care of him.

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico is more than happy just to watch him cuddling the plush for a moment - it does just look very cute*

Oh, I will! I'll give him plenty of cuddles.

[With his "date" now happy with her gift, it's time to go somewhere else before anyone finds out his secret to winning as he secretly returns his Shuppet back into his Poke Ball behind him.]

So, where do you want to go next?

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico keeps cuddling her plush and standa quite closely to Sycamore, smiling up at him with some excitement*

I don't mind, so long as it's with you.

[megabond]

[Sycamore also smiled as he still wants to give Sonico the best night of her life no matter what.]

Well, let's try to go on the Merry-Go-Around and the roller-coaster next. After that, I can treat you to a grand dinner.

[sonicosuper]

The Merry-Go-Round sounds like good fun.

*Sonico smiles at him and starts walking close beside him on the way to the various ride*

But...I might too scared for a roller-coaster.

*She says it teasingly, like she's wondering what he might say about that*

Though a dinner together does sound lovely.

That's alright. I will be by your side no matter what happens. I promise.

[Of course when he says this, they are now climbing up to the ceramic horses as they wait for the Merry-Go-Around to start. However, what kind of horses they will ride on depends on Sonico as he waits for her opinion regarding this.]

*Sonico smiles at him sweetly again, doing her best to seem as charming and beautiful as possible. At the merry-go-round, Sonico selects a large white horse and begins to climb onto it. Maybe she'll accidentally flash a bit of thigh as she does so. It's a bit of a struggle since the horse is high up; she might need some help*

[Being a gentleman that he is, he helps the young lady on climbing the white (ceramic) horse. Yet despite a small distraction thanks to her thigh showing right in front of him, he manages to get her to the horse without any problem.

Although, he starts to blush red as he looks away before he recovers and heads to the brown horse next to her's.]

You're welcome. I'm just happy to be with you for this marvelous night.

[Then with the carnival music starting to play, the Merry-Go-Around slowly starts to turn as everyone began to enjoy the ride with Sycamore calmly smiles at Sonico.]

*Sonico sees his blush then realises that he dress has pulled up her leg, so she very quickly pushes it down. She giggles awkwardly, though hopes he likes what he saw, anyway*

I'm happy too.

*When the ride begins, Sonico smiles and giggles with delight, occasionally looking over at him happily*

[Like her, he spent the whole ride smiling at her while enjoying the Merry-Go-Around. Despite he is still under the circus's influence, he can't help but feel ecstatic about their "date".

Once the ride's over, he got off the horse and approaches Sonico to help her get down.]

How was the ride?

*Sonico is giggling happily by the time the time the ride is over. When he comes to help her, she happily lets herself fall into his arms*

It was great! Isn't this place such good fun?

I agree. We're just lucky to visit a fun circus like this one. I never thought how fun this is before.

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico giggles again and leans against him again*

It is great fun! Especially with you!

[megabond]

[He nods to Sonico as he smiles in delight.]
