Let the Cirque du Vrai begin!

OOC: The event starts today. It affects Attleton. Players can make their own posts and have fun with it or they can reply to this post with top levels and have fun that way! Up to you! There will be a separate log posted for the Showstopper on the 29th. Please note that if your character tries to enter the circus without a mask and costume (cannot be something your character already owned because it's not a disguise if it's theirs), they'll be prevented from getting in one way or the other. Don't try to get around it and don't try to be like WELL NO ONE CAN STOP MY CHARACTER!! If your character goes right past them they'll find themselves in the field the next day the second they go past the gates, capiche?? No cheating it's not fun for anyone.

As the sun sets in Attleton, a strange haze seems to glow over the barrier for a few moments before in the distance, a sequence of lights flickers on. The entrance sign first, then tents and merry-go-rounds and booths and all manner of dizzying fun illuminate just as darkness falls. It doesn't take more than a few seconds for the sounds of cheers and fun to fill the Attleton air. It almost seems like it's calling to you, inviting you in. As you approach, a man on stilts greets you. He explains that the flyers that have been floating around town with the wind and on the walls were all for this, the Cirque du Vrai! Become someone else to become yourself, step right up! You don't need to buy a ticket, you just need to buy a costume.

"There's a costume shop right next to the entrance for those who aren't prepared, and a master mask maker who will create any mask you desire, or leave it up to him once he decides what he thinks suits you. If you brought your own, that's fine too! The Cirque is here for days, there's time to spare! Don't let reservations drive you to despair! You'll miss out on fun if you let your life run all over the mystery we've so prestigiously spun. Test your skills, test your wills, find your chills, thrills, and pills. Here it is, the moment you've been waiting for is just beyond the gate! Accept who you are and you'll need none to commiserate!"

The man laughs, leaving before you can ask what that means to invite another in, and the game begins. Welcome to the Cirque du Vrai. Enjoy.

That is really beautiful. Wouldn't it look pretty in my hair?

[Not that he know how hair pins work exactly, but he still couldn't help but give his honest opinion.]

Should be easy enough to win honestly. Guess playing games often finally has it's advantages.

*That last bit added as though she were some kind of desperate heroine in a romance. Which, to be fair, thanks to the circus, she almost was*

Sure, besides if there is only one thing I am good at, it would be games.

[It was about the only thing, really.]

So it's the least I could do anyway. You'd probably even get one of the best prizes.

Oh, I'm sure you have much more talent than that. No need to be modest.

*Sonico smiles at him and leans against him for a moment as though that might give him some encouragement*

Really? Oh, wow. You must be good!

If I only need one talent, I think I'd be happy with that one.

[He was just stating fact, if he had to pick just one that would be it.]

I'm probably not the best, but I've not really lost a game personally. [The other him dueled so in reality, he's never lost.]

*Sonico giggles at that - that's pretty sweet to say about his talents*

Not the best? Well, that still sounds amazing to me!

*She smiles again and nudges against him softly*

So...are you going to win that hairpin for me?

[He nodded slightly as he looked over at the game, talking to the guy in question before he even tried.]

Looks like I just have to win once, which considering how nice it looks you would think you'd need to win more. But it just means you can have it sooner.

[He smiled slightly looking over.]

Maybe you could even wear it sooner.

*Sonico smiled at his confidence, finding it so interesting and amusing. Then he made that comment about wearing it sooner, and she stepped closer to him, looking up at him sweetly*

I would love to wear it sooner. For you.

[Nodding slightly, if only for a moment he knew it was best to at least focus on the game at hand. Simple enough, ring toss was always easy when you knew what exactly to do. As soon as he had the rings in hand it really didn't take him long to get it on the one he needed to.

With the prize won and handed over he turned and held it out.]

*Sonico clapped and cheered when he easily won the game. She giggled and continued her applause in admiration, only stopping when he held out the clip. Sonico smiled thankfully, then put it in her hair. Turning this way and that, she looked at him coyly*

Oh! Thank you! How do I look?

You look beautiful. I think it was made for you or something.

[Sounded a bit cheesy if he had to be honest, but right now he really couldn't.]

*At that, thanks to the circus, Sonico at once falls into girlish giggles of happiness*

Oh, thank you. That's so very good and kind to you.

*She still manages to tilt her head this way and that to show off the hairclip*

Well, it's always a good thing to show kindness, mostly because you haven't done anything to deserve anything but.

[He turned his head slightly, taking a look around for the moment.]

Do you want to walk around?

*That's very sweet, and it prompts yet another delightful smile from her. At this question, she nods gently and shuffles closer*

That would be very nice.

[He held out his arm for her to take if she wanted as such. He only knew of some places to go around, but that was what walking around is for. Finding things you might not usually find the first time.]

Then shall we wonder?

*Sonico smiles at his offer and happily links her arm into his, standing close*

I'd be happy to. Where shall we go?

I don't have an exact answer, but we'll see where fate leads us. or... something like that.

[NBut he will lead the way regardless.]

*That sure causes Sonico to laugh in amusement, and she nudges him lightly on the side*

That was sweet. I liked that.

[He couldn't help but chuckle himself.]

It's also true in life really when you think about it.

[He looked over to the side for a moment, there were various things going on and he was just looking to see where things would go, even if it was just walking the rest of the time.]

*Sonico smiles and gives his arm a little squeeze. Then she tilts her head this way and that so that her hair clip catches the light*

Is there anything in particular that you'd enjoy?

[He paused for a moment, well he guessed he can say something about himself.]

Games, mostly. Spending time with friends and loved ones if that can count as well.

[He paused for a moment to look at the side.]

Then perhaps we should find some games to play.

*Sonico smiles at him as she looks around*

Maybe there's an arcade or something too...

They just have the circus games, not really anything like an arcade. Besides I want to know what you would enjoy doing, than what I would want to.
