Let the Cirque du Vrai begin!

OOC: The event starts today. It affects Attleton. Players can make their own posts and have fun with it or they can reply to this post with top levels and have fun that way! Up to you! There will be a separate log posted for the Showstopper on the 29th. Please note that if your character tries to enter the circus without a mask and costume (cannot be something your character already owned because it's not a disguise if it's theirs), they'll be prevented from getting in one way or the other. Don't try to get around it and don't try to be like WELL NO ONE CAN STOP MY CHARACTER!! If your character goes right past them they'll find themselves in the field the next day the second they go past the gates, capiche?? No cheating it's not fun for anyone.



As the sun sets in Attleton, a strange haze seems to glow over the barrier for a few moments before in the distance, a sequence of lights flickers on. The entrance sign first, then tents and merry-go-rounds and booths and all manner of dizzying fun illuminate just as darkness falls. It doesn't take more than a few seconds for the sounds of cheers and fun to fill the Attleton air. It almost seems like it's calling to you, inviting you in. As you approach, a man on stilts greets you. He explains that the flyers that have been floating around town with the wind and on the walls were all for this, the Cirque du Vrai! Become someone else to become yourself, step right up! You don't need to buy a ticket, you just need to buy a costume.

"There's a costume shop right next to the entrance for those who aren't prepared, and a master mask maker who will create any mask you desire, or leave it up to him once he decides what he thinks suits you. If you brought your own, that's fine too! The Cirque is here for days, there's time to spare! Don't let reservations drive you to despair! You'll miss out on fun if you let your life run all over the mystery we've so prestigiously spun. Test your skills, test your wills, find your chills, thrills, and pills. Here it is, the moment you've been waiting for is just beyond the gate! Accept who you are and you'll need none to commiserate!"

The man laughs, leaving before you can ask what that means to invite another in, and the game begins. Welcome to the Cirque du Vrai. Enjoy.

*Then she tilts her head as she looks at him and takes a little step closer, cuddling the plushie*

Really? A big man like you? That's a real shame... I bet you could make someone feel very safe at night.

Yes, it's mostly because I'm not usually a man. [Now that she's up close she looks somewhat more familiar to him. Specially her voice. It's musical and lovely, and he's sure he's heard it before.]

I'm usually much taller and made of metal. Not many people would want to share their bed with me. Have we met before? I'm K-2So.

*The hold on her plush bunny loosens slightly as she looks him over carefully again, trying to figure out what he might be. When he starts describing himself, Sonico stares at him in wonder before he even announces his name*

KayToo? Kay? Oh! Oh wow! Don't you look ever so handsome this way!

Yes, that's me. They let me use an adroid body, my usual one is kept in a safe place.

[His smile turns a little sheepish at the praise, clearly not used to it.] Ah, you really think so? And Sonico, is that you?

Really?

*Sonico's eyes widen behind her mask and she makes a small squeal of excitement*

And yes! Definitely! You are very handsome indeed! I mean, I've always thought you were handsome and very attractive as you are - but this makes you even more lovely to look at!

*Sonico laughs at his question and the situation*

Yes, it's me.

[Kay is looking pretty ready to squeal himself, having this body makes him all giddy. Or perhaps it's the circus. Most likely both.]

That's not something I heard often. Or never. You really are too nice, come here.

[Toy guns and plushies forgotten, he takes a few steps towards her to give Sonico a hug. He wanted to do that for a while now.]

*When he steps forward for a hug, Sonico can't hide her excitement. Kay, a good friend, a real true friend, was someone she wanted to hug for a long time too. So she practically leaps into his arms, wrapping her arms around him and hugging warmly*

[The android body might not have but Kay can almost feel the tension leave him when she returns the hug enthusiastically. His normal form is too hard, cold and with sharp edges. No one would like to hug him like that. But here and now, having the opportunity is a blessing.]

You are all squishy! It's nice.

[sonicosuper]

*Sonico giggles brightly at that, if blushing a little at the comment. After all, she is really rather curvy with plenty of squishy bits*

I'm glad you like it!

*And she happily continues to give him a warm and happy hug*

[She is. And so Kay has only hugged male, so the squishiness is a pleasant surprise. He's not trying to be rude, though, and it's a good thing Sonico isn't easily offended.

A few seconds later, Kay finally put some distance between then.] Are you having fun at the circus? Everything is so colourful and loud. Like explosions, but without the destruction and dead.

*Sonico smiled brightly when the hug ended, then giggled a little mischievously when he asked how she liked the circus. She glanced this way and that, then stepped a little closer to him again*

Well...I'm actually having a very wonderful time today. Everything is very colourful, and the men have been very charming too...

[Kay raises his eyebrows at that but the mask he's wearing hides the gesture.]

The men? Have you been looking for a partner then?

[What is tact?]

*Oh gosh, the blushing but, again, at least most of it is hidden beneath her own mask*

Well... I - They are hard to ignore when they are being so sweet and so kind to me...

*No, circus, whey are you making her say these things?*

[Lucky for Sonico, Kay sees absolutely nothing wrong with speaking your mind. in fact he does it often, Circus' influence or not. It's just even easier to do so now.]

I see, that makes sense. And I'm sure you will have a lot of them charmed. Just be sure none of them are real jerks in disguise.

*Sonico giggles at the idea of charming the men - that is definitely the circus's fault. She's never usually so open and giggly about men. Besides, all of this is coming from a very handsome man, and one that she knows to be very good and kind too*

Oh, maybe... It would be nice to have them charmed. And if they are jerks - well, I will have nothing to do with them!
