[When the video clicks on, the first thing anyone can see is a sunny, clear sky and the tops of some buildings. A few strands of brown hair get in front of the screen, and someone who can't be seen curses - more in a surprised way than an angry way, though. A woman.]

Well, I'll be damned. Half expected this thing to just not work.

[The phone tilts abruptly, and a woman's - well, girl's - face comes into view. She's smiling sardonically, though it doesn't really reach her eyes. She has dark brown hair and quite a bit of makeup on, and her expression doesn't seem fazed by where she's suddenly found herself at all. Her tone is light, something like amused.]

So, apparently I'm the newest kidnapping victim! Name's Faith, and I have one very important question for anyone who happens to see this: Where can a girl find a drink around here?

[Yes, she's banking on no one knowing that she's seriously underage where she comes from.]

[Faith raises her eyebrow a little at that, but she's smiling.] Outlaw name? So you're telling me you're a criminal. [She does not sound disapproving - quite the opposite.]

[He shrugs dismissively, a bit of a twinkle in his eye.]

I don't know why you'd say that, my rap sheet is sparkly clean. But they do that when you save the galaxy.

[Humble bragging, always in style. Right?]

Wait, so they cleared your sheet because you saved the galaxy? Now that's a story I wanna hear.

Oh, you know how it goes. Me and a couple of friends broke out of prison, and disintegrated an intergalactic menace. The usual.

[It's the bare bones, flippant enough for it to be certain there was a lot more to the story.]

Just that easy, huh? [Faith laughs.] I like it. And I guess if you're gonna let me in on that secret, I should tell one of my own, huh?

Saving the fun parts for another time. [This wasn't quite an 'I talked a few people I'd just started getting to be friends with to come on a suicide mission with me' conversation.] That would be fair, but I'm not gonna pull your arm. I know a lady's got her secrets.

[Faith shrugs, and smiles. New world, new decisions. And if she was supposed to believe 'saved the universe'..] Well, I guess it's not ~saving the world~ [How do you pronounce a tilde?] but I hunt vampires and demons, you know, on Earth. It's my thing.

[Peter considers for a moment - mostly for show, but eventually bobs his head a little in a nod.]

Okay, that's still pretty bad-ass. Would you believe that you're actually the second person I've met around here who hunts demons? It's true - the vampires are a first though.
