What do you mean, "now"? He just died. Ganondorf cursed a bug and it ate him. Mido and I had to kill it....well, okay, I did most of the work, but, he gave me my sword at the end.

Yeah. The Great Deku Tree wouldn't give Ganondorf the Kokiri Emerald. So he killed him.

See, Ganondorf is trying to get to the Triforce, but, me and Zelda, we're gonna stop him. Her dad won't listen to her, but, I listened.

We will! Once we have the Triforce, that nasty Gerudo won't know what to do! And then Zelda's dad can put him in prison, because he'll have to believe her then. Once we tell him about what Ganondorf did to the Zora and the Gorons, he'll have to believe.
