[sidon, having arrived and feeling as though he had taken a page right out of the champion link's book, was dumbfounded and amazed at his new surroundings. he couldn't believe that he had arrived in some completely different space than the zora's domain. after link had freed vah ruta, he thought nothing else could ever excite him as much.

but now? he had awakened to a new home, a new surrounding, and he wasted no time in attempting to get well acquainted with the area. he swam around in the bay, he walked the streets, and he was amazed by all the new people and races. it wasn't just zoras, hylians, gorons, rito, or gerudo anymore! it was so lively, so plentiful! sure, he would miss his domain, but he believed that the hologram wasn't lying to him and that he would return one day.

think of this as a min vacation! really.

so, what he had gathered was that there were factions of cities and that each place had a designated guardian. splendid! he was so excited to see the culture of this place and see how that would all play out.]

[Rapunzel knew she had to attempt this someday. Wearing shoes while out, but as she tried various pairs she always found one thing in common. They were uncomfortable and also in some cases was quite hard to walk in. She had tried flats, shoes that had a slight heel, high heeled even boots but each time she just didn't like it. She wasn't happy with it.

As the feed switch on, there was fabric everywhere as well as painting supplies in some cases there were clothing that was either fully done or partly. Once she moved some strays hairs she finally spoke.]

Um, this might seem like a really odd thing to talk about but... Can people explain why shoes are so uncomfortable? I've tried a good few pairs and just they seem to pinch or just plain hurt. In some cases, I found they were really hard to walk in.

I found another job, one I think that's going to work out. But there are some obstacles-- like officially learning how to drive. [Look he can drive/fly just fine but he's put off taking any tests so he's been driving without a license when he's needed to.]

I don't know as much stuff as some people who've been in Genessia, but I've been here a while and I've read everything the GSRF has about what they've found out. I don't necessarily understand everything, I'm not a scientist, but if you ever have any questions, I'll try to answer them as best as I can in...less scienc-y terms.

[There's nothing but the sound of breathing at first. Distant, echoing sounds of traffic and civilization. Almost as if he were in an alley, halfway up a fire escape. Something that might be the sound of someone wetting their lips.]

[A space then, where the thought of a laugh might fill it but nothing does.]

[There's a noise, almost disbelieving.]

So this... It's some kind of purgatory, right? I know there was information. Something about...spirits, and kidnapping? Only I'm not sure how kidnapping works exactly if you're already dead. Never been good at all of that religious stuff.

[A pause, and then a sigh.]

So am I close? I just know there's no way I'm alive. Trust me on that one. Anyway, this place... It isn't even touched. No way a real city looks like this. Maybe the...message when I got out of that thing had more information. I didn't pay it much attention.

I was kind of waiting for her to tell me I was her only hope.

I was jut wondering.

[The feed switches on, facing the ground and a set of feet appear on the ground where it's facing. it's hard to tell whose feet they belong to, but it's obvious said feet are laying down on the ground, so it wasn't whoever was holding the device.

However, it wasn't long before it's turned and Haru's face can be clearly seen giving a soft smile. She still hasn't made it obvious about whoever it is on the floor.]

I wanted to use this advice to ask business owners who are connected to something food related or might know of someone who would be interested in what I have to say. Maybe I'll even ask for just people in general but...

[She paused for a moment.]

I'm planning on setting up a garden within the next week and transfer what plants I am growing to it. I hope for them to be used in places like cafes if and occasionally fresh produce for home as well should people want it. But I will need some volunteers to try it out when they are fully grown.

[Another pause for a moment.]

As for what fruits or vegetables with the plant pots I have currently, I am growing cucumber, tomatoes, sweet potato and cabbage as well as coffee beans.

[She tilts her head slightly, still smiling the whole time.] So let me know if you are interested or not. Thank you for listening.

[She soon turns her head slightly before putting a free hand to her mouth.]

I should add... if one does a bounty and somehow by chance actually managed to succeed in getting the culprit do you know where one is meant to take them?

[There's muffled childish cursing and a weird angled view of a little blond boy with pointed ears. He's dressed in green and has a shield that's too large for a child, and a sword that's just right.]

JOURNEY TO THE MAW'S CRYSTAL CAVES

At this point, news had been spreading about the flowers- the ones that only grew near crystals in the Maw, that they were what Seek had used on Nova City back in January, even though they were Fayren-native. Those who have made it this far to The Maw and searched for some time will finally find themselves at a cave, deep within. The only light there is whatever they brought with them and the bioluminescent glow of some crystals and fungus within the cave- certainly not enough to guide the way without your own source.

Once the expedition party is deep enough into the caves, they'll likely notice that the crystals have shifted behind them and cut off the way that they've come in. They have to go somewhat deep into the crystals to get to the patch of flowers they’re looking for, a veritable field of them. Most of the crystals are white or a pale lavender in color, and once in deeply enough it will become clear that the crystals have been enchanted as they rapidly spike up from their spots on the walls and cut off the entrance, regrowing just as rapidly if broken. A character may be able to get out if they have teleportation or phasing abilities, but they will not be able to bring other characters with them.

The only choice is to go deeper, and some who do will begin to find crystals that look a little different- refined, not bound to the enchanted white and lavender ones, and they’re a vibrant green in color. Careful though- spirits still lurk around certain corners, and with the low light and the Maw's nature.. well, you may want to stick close to someone else. Those aren't the only monsters down there.

DIRECTIONS:
-If you were RNG'd to receive a green crystal, you received a notification last night. Reply with a top-level to this post to receive the content of that crystal. If you do not post a top level by the 17th, your memory crystal will get rerolled to go to someone else who has already posted a top level. The mod NPC account will reply to your post with the memory crystal contents so you will not have any way to receive them unless you reply to the main post. -If you are one of the four people who get to participate in capture, feel free to assume that your person got separated from their group and ended up finding the other three who did as well. That way you can still have main threads with whatever group your character came in if you'd like while we can limit the thread to a semi-reasonable amount of people for a single thread because 5 people in a single thread is already a lot and we do want to make sure that this thread is completed. A specific thread for this will be posted in reply to this post for each of those who joined in to participate. Once again, if you do not reply by the 17th, you will just have your character dropped from the discovery so that we can move on. Because this is an active thread and not just an info drop, the role will not be replaced unless all four characters do not participate.

-Just replying may also give you a chance encounter for other neat stuff in the Maw. A mod may reply with something fun to interact with if it looks like your thread is active based on a daily RNG through the 17th.

-Please feel free to assume that characters eventually find a second way out. They can also take samples of anything they want with them- flowers, crystals, rocks, whatever they may find. If your character wants to do something with something they took, please ask a mod what they'll find out and include the method they are trying to analyze it with. (If you just say 'analyze it' that's not going to tell us whether you'll find something out- if your character says they're looking at something under a microscope or that they're running a test for something specific, however, the mods are more than happy to answer if there's relevant information that your character can discover.)
