Job Fair!
WHO: Anybody! Recruiters, set up a stall. Bums, get a job!
WHAT: Genessia is hosting a super fun job fair! Unsure what to do? Step up to the lucky lotto and get assigned a super fun lucky awesome job that the character MUST work for at least eight hours before returning to pick a new job from the lucky lotto. Or you could just pick a normal job that's being offered by normal people. That works too.
WHEN: December 8th - December 14th
WHERE: Genessia City - Encircling the Bay
NOTES: A thread will be posted for each day of the week, for those wanting to draw a random job. If you're up for wacky hijinks, tag the day you want your character to pick a surprise career and the mods will RP/assign a job. The character may choose to keep the job if they like it, or pick a new one the next day, but they're stuck doing that job for at least eight hours once the choice is made. HO HO HO!
As soon as the sun began to rise on the snow-dusted city, a quiet murmur in the streets steadily turned into a bustling commotion, with people carrying tables in pairs, filling balloons with helium and tying them to brightly painted signs, and catchy songs being played fighting for the attention of would-be job applicants. Cafes, the library, mall stores, the Genessia Tribune, property managers...everyone had something that needed to be done.
The most eye-catching display by far was the Lucky Lotto Career booth, with flashing lights, attractive "booth babes", and a large multi-colored wheel just waiting to be spun. On the wheel, numerous panels were pasted with a large glittery "?" on each one. Depending on where the wheel stopped, the panel would be peeled off to reveal one surprise job for anybody who needed a little inspiration for their aspiring careers. Why not step up and try your luck?

Sunday - 12/8
BACKTAG FOREVER
There's flashing lights and booth babes and everything. That wheel is just BEGGING to be spun by some guy who has very little self-control. That guy is Jaune.]
Oh man, awesome! It's like being just given a job! [Because looking for a job was just SO much work.]
[So he bravely (stupidly) approaches that wheel and gives it a big spin.]
YES GOOD
Re: YES GOOD
Monday - 12/9
Let's try that again!
Okay, something better this time I hope.

Backtagging!
[Okay, Apprentice Potion Brewer wasn't that bad. Working in Harry's lab was actually pretty cool, and Cherise was kinda awesome too. But as for doing that permanently? Nah, not his bag.]
[So he's back again! Though he looks less defeated about the whole thing than before. Approaching the wheel, he gives it a spin - maybe this next job would be a learning experience, like the last one!]

GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY
"Hi-ya..." Karina gave the wheel a half-hearted spin, eyes somewhere between anxious and sleepy. "Come on...(please be something easy)"

[Finally she comes to Harry's both, and greets him with a pleasant beaming smile as she hastens to examine the sign. Oh, Everglade...! She visits there often enough to check on Dean, and she's definitely got experience fighting ghosts! In fact, she should tell him as much.]
I think I meet all of your qualifications! And I fought ghosts back home, and some zombies in Nautilus! I even got to use Excalibur to do it, and ride on a trolley that my friend decorated with barbed wire!
[IT WAS SO AWESOME, HARRY.]

Re: Everglade City Guardian Office
PFFFFFT.
A job. Ha! Looks at all these suckers, working to live. Who needs to work? They could just barely eat, like you Gunter.
[The Ice King is roaming the job fair aimlessly, while holding in his arms what looked like an ice sculpture penguin. He's far from interested in actually getting a job, so really he's just judging all the other unemployed bums that were scrambling to get work. As he walked however, he did manage to stop, by chance, at Harry's. The whole part about "Supernatural and Magic abilities" caught his eye.]
Heeeeeey, I'M magic! [He grins big and looks up at Harry.] What's a Guardian do? Is it like a super hero? Ohh, I've wanted to be a super hero since I was a little tyke! Oh I'm so excited now, aren't you Gunter? [The strange old man holds the ice penguin up in front of him, pressing his nose to it and looking it in the eye. Of course it didn't say anything - the guy's obviously nuts.]

...At least she's a bit.... saner than her friend up there? XD
That's true. SHE'S HIRED.
XD though some of her pranks definietly won't promise peace. But she's not going to mention that
Just don't go around eating people
Psssh, lame. Where's the fun in them all being corpses?
Is your day weird enough yet, Harry?
[Unzipping his hoodie, he pulls a thick sheaf of paper in a folder out from under it. He waves hello, and then hesitates a moment. Words. Crap, things were so much easier when he had Captain Diarrhea-of-the-mouth with him. Oh well. He speaks up, offering the folder.]
I'm opening a business in your town and want to get your OK first.
Getting there!
Cafe Caradja, Everglade--Multiple Positions Wanted
Servers, Ushers, Assistant Bartenders and Security
Experience Welcome but Not Required
This is a large table draped in scarlet and purple, with a slightly Medieval looking banner and assorted holders of leaflets. Behind the table, a tallish man with dark hair and an unplaceable Eastern European accent is fielding questions.

She's about to give up and just go to the when when a booth catches her eye. Moving over, she gives him a bright smile, anything to work this in her favor.]
Don't suppose you're still lookin' for bartenders are you?

[Open] Wandering the crowd
[She walks slowly down the aisle, looking at the booths with her hands shoved in the pockets of her leather jeans. Discomfort reads plainly on her face and she avoids the tightest knots of the crowd.]
[She doesn't even know why she's here. She has half a dozen ways she can make money using her powers, and none of them involve saying 'yes sir' or otherwise making herself vulnerable to anyone. The faint pressure to try anyway that she feels is just some stupid social expectation. She doesn't have to get an "honest job" where she has to "act normal" and let someone else have control over her time, energy and decisions. She probably couldn't manage one anyway.]
[Her sense of depression and discontent only grows as she moves on. There's nothing wrong with the businesses hiring, except that she can't see herself participating in any of it without her stomach clenching. She doesn't belong here. She belongs back in the shadows, protecting herself, making her cash on things she salvages and on cleaning out gambling rings. Finally, she stops short.]
What the fuck am I doing? Nine to fives are for humans.
[She turns around quickly, planning to hurry away and get a breath of air somewhere less crowded, and nearly runs into someone in the process.]
Nonhumans gotta stick together
Which is why she'd come down to the job fair, wandering between booths and passing up most of the offerings there. It's only when she passes by the newspaper booth that something catches her eye....
She's reading the offered job closely, but her senses are sharp and she's been trained, so she just manages to not crash headlong into somebody rushing past. A barely noticeable twitch of her bow, a quick stop, and she glances up at the other girl.]
Sorry.
\o/
Let's go talk about how humans are jerks.
Humans, mutants, pretty much everyone but dogs....
... Ew. Dogs.
XD Kidding.
Phew.

It's a plain sign, and Daimon's kicked back in a chair behind the small table, radiating a sort of relaxed cheerfulness.
