[ Cassian Andor appears on the screen, sitting behind his desk in the Attleton Guardian’s office. Unlike most time spent in his office, there is no Swablu sitting on his head. ]

Since my campaign, I have voiced my desire to see Attleton’s neighborhood watch system of providing law enforcement more strictly formalized and regulated. I value the contributions of our concerned citizens, who are vital to upholding law and order in Attleton, and its long-standing traditions. These changes won't turn the Neighborhood Watch into a police force under a different name but strengthen it within the bounds of our town’s laws and customs.

Members of the Watch will carry badges, it will be limited to citizens who have no criminal record or given other concern of being unable to fulfill their duty impartially and conscientiously. The watch will be bound by a new set of regulations which determine both its conduct and the limits of its authority. In return, the Guardian's office will take an active role in training them.

Of direct interest to all citizens of Attleton is that the Guardian’s office will be providing self-defense courses for beginners. Sign-up lists can be found at the Guardian’s office and town hall, and if proprietors are willing, in stores all across town. We are still looking for volunteer teachers and other helpers.


OOC: Volunteers would be mostly teaching our NPC Attletonians, but player characters are welcome to take classes, too. Not really planning a log for this, but could put one up if there's interest.

[Kay voice drops an octave and his optics brighten.]

Of course. Maybe we can even find matching poses.

We should practice them... wouldn't want to waste the photographer's time, would we?

[And yes at this point he is utterly embarrassed... but loving it anyway. It's so nice they are at a point where they can playfully flirt and tease. ]

No, we don't want that. We need to set an example too, you are the Deputy after all.

[It's really sweet. And fun, if Kay dares to admit it.]

We better go finish our work duties as soon as possible today.

[captain_by_the_book]

[ He gives his desk a mournful look and sighs. ]

We should get back to work. The sooner we are done... And I'll have a reward waiting for my good behaviour, right?

[If you let him, Kay will give you good memories about that desk, Cassian.]

We should. To set and example for our people and all that. Of course, and one that will keep you entertained all night.

[captain_by_the_book]

[ Good job, Kay, now you have him blushing. Blushing and grinning, he just can't help himself. He's leaning forward again, all but trying to crawl into the phone. ]

Really? Now that's a promise I'll hold you to. And how am I supposed to find work appealing now and think of being a good role model?

[ Keep going and he'll be easily convinced to make good memories of that desk. ]

[That blush is doing things to Kay too, he will have issues focusing on the tedious task of organizing the reports and files they have.]

I thought you liked challenges, Cassian. [If he could smile, he would be doing it right now.] I think humans call this delayed gratification. And there will be a lot of that later. Gratification, I mean.

[Okay, so, Kay sucks at sexy talking but he's trying.]

[ Sure helps that for one thing, Cassian isn't exactly a connoisseur in sexy talk good or bad and for another, is stupidly in love. Kay could read the phone book to him and he'd still be charmed.

He hums a little in acknowledgment. ] A lot? I'll just have to trust you to make it worth the delay... Maybe you should run some simulations while we finish up here.

[ Yes, they're both bad at sexy talk. ]

[That gives him small comfort. Ah, the joys of being in love, uh? Everything seems perfect.]

Have I ever under-performed before? I wouldn't allow things to be less than perfect. Hm...yes, that's a good idea. Might get a bit distracted, though.

[captain_by_the_book]

I think you could convince me to be lenient. Just this once.

[ His smile lingers, eyes still on Kay's face with unabashed tenderness in his eyes. Then Cassian gives himself a mental kick and sighs heavily. ]

But. Back to work now or we won't get home till late. [ Another grin flickers over his just schooled face. ] I look forward to your... satisfying performance.

I'll try my best so I can convince you more in the future.

[He seems disappointed too that there's no more time to play games, if the way his shoulders drop is any indication.

Kay even lets out a small 'aww.']
