text - PSA from Attleton Guardian's office
The effect on Attleton has faded. The town is safe to return for all who have evacuated, life is starting to return to normal.
An announcement regarding the October projects which had to be rescheduled will follow once normal conditions have been restored, at which point the Guardian's office will also hear your concerns.

[ There's another long awkward silence. ]
Are you sure it isn't that she likes you?
no subject
[That's just...weird!]
I'm pretty sure. She calls me lazyass, and lazy fatass, and idiot all the time.
no subject
[ He grumbles to himself for a while. ]
I haven't dated anyone but a battle robot since my teenage years, I wouldn't be an expert on romance.
no subject
[He's completely serious.]
no subject
[ Why aren't you running. ]
no subject
Yeah, usually. She's always been like that and now she's not. I usually expect her to be standing over me, her knives ready to take me out but this, I don't know what to do.
[It's almost more comforting, because then he knows her motivations. He's used to being among people who are ready to stab him in the back at a moment's notice.]
no subject
You shouldn't spend time in the company of people who are a danger to you. Do you feel threatened by her?
no subject
[He sounds unconcerned about the state of affairs.]
I mean, I think I can take her if I have to. Usually I just let her yell at me, and kinda tune it out.
no subject
[ Yes, yes, he knows he's the only one concerned. That makes it worse. ]
no subject
no subject
[ Larxene, you are going to be under so much scrutiny. ]
no subject
[He hums thoughtfully.]
She hasn't hurt me, but since she came here she tried to kill me when we met. [He scoffs.] It was really rude, she used my water against me! [He hums again.] And she's pulled her knives on me a few times.
She's usually mad at me all the time, that's what makes this weird!
no subject
[ His voice is back to exasperated now, but he's no less worried for it. More, in fact. Now if only Demyx were here so he could shake him. ]
I feel like we should have a conversation about this in person sometime soon. [ When he can shake him. Or maybe not since Demyx would see nothing wrong with that. Kriff it all. ]
I'd actually like to talk to Larxene, too, do you think she would mind?
no subject
[He hums a little.]
Probably not? I don't know. She talks to people.
no subject
[ So maybe this comes out a little bit more grim than intended, but oh well. He is feeling grim. ]
You know you can call me if you have trouble with her, right? Say, if she's angry with you and you'd rather avoid her.
no subject
[He shrugs, he isn't worried.]
no subject
But then again, your army had an appalling lack of discipline.
no subject
[They were the opposite of that.]
I'm really used to it though.
no subject
[ Yeah, sorry, your boss is scum in his eyes. ]
no subject
[It's one of those moments where what he says probably isn't helping.]
no subject
Point made. ]
As I said, bad leadership. It's rot from the very top of the command structure.
[ Sorry, Demyx, but your boss would have to attain sainthood to regain any standing with Cassian. ]
Don't let it bother you. It's not your fault.
no subject
[That's...bad.]
no subject
[ Oh, he's just working himself into greater moral outrage here. ]
You'd be a better superior if you had better role models. I wish my leaders were here, then you'd know the difference.
no subject
I doubt anyone else would want me in their Organization.
no subject
Fear and loyalty are not the same thing. Bad leaders don't understand the difference. Good ones win your loyalty without being feared.
[ He'd never really thought of himself as a good one, but... Well. Hard to do worse. ]
