[Winry was happy with the way things were going. She had managed to secure a decent paying job at Genessia hospital, which to her felt a little bit like a dream job. She had applied for an apartment of her own, which she figured was going to be a rather strange experience, to begin with.
Things were simply falling into place. However, as she went to lie down she found herself pausing for a moment. That... was an extremely familiar voice that she could pick out of a crowd. Moving to sit up she reached on over to the device and switched it on.
Emotion-wise she couldn't help but be happy to see him, understanding of why he is probably saying what he is saying, he probably did have something to do back home and relieved to see he was as of right now perfectly okay. After a moment she finally spoke up.]
Good to see you too. [Yes, first words she is going to say.] I get the feeling they aren't going to appear to you. After being here for five days, pretty sure they just leave you to your own devices.
[The last voice he's expecting to hear is hers, because hey, he's been kidnapped into a strange place against his will, and he's looking to fight his way out because that's usually the best way to go about things in these types of situations. He has a fair amount of experience, he knows what he's doing.
But they have Winry too, and that's full stop on his brain for a moment. How did they even grab her? Wasn't she in Risembool the last time he saw her?
He hasn't accomplished what needs to be done though, their world is at stake, Central is about to be destroyed and he has to stop it. He can't lose that fight, and he can't be kidnapped.
That doesn't mean he isn't happy to see her, he's torn and he doesn't want her to think he's worried so he smiles.]
My own devices huh? [A slight smirk] So, what do I have to blow up to get us out of here?
I don't think people would be happy if you blew anything up.
[And she wouldn't be happy if he ended up doing something dumb enough to hurt himself. She knew very little about the world or what it can do and while she could trust him, it was still a big worry of hers... Even if it was a huge possibility considering.]
I mean I get why you want to get out of here. I honestly was worried when I first arrived considering, but someone told me that time seems to be frozen when we are here. So... That's a plus at least, right? Things aren't happening while we are here, even if it might not be at the best time.
[The effect is immediate, a slight change in his posture and demeanor, almost respectful after all, they have some awfully coordinated plans going on at the moment.]
Colonel.
[A sigh, and he claps his hand, making the blade disappear.]
You're here too. Figures. [His brow is a little furrowed like he's deeply concerned about the fate of Central if they're all here.]
Of course a new arrival at the bay meant a certain green youkai wouldn't be far off. Koishi floated forward, hovering around Edward's shoulder as he worked with his phone and spoke... She stayed there for several minutes, silent and unnoticed.
Eventually though she would reach out, tugging on his jacket sleeve.
"Hello? Mister? Can you see me? Can you hear me? Hello?" It might take a moment.
She didn't seem offended he pulled his coat away. She was a tiny thing. Very tiny. With green hair and eyes that literally glowed with an inner light. She had a blue sphere- eye... floating in front of her chest. It was connected to her ankles by two fleshy cords that looped and hovered freely around her body.
"Kidnapped?" Koishi blinked, her third eye swaying softly in the air. "Nooo. I'm here too. Like you." And there was the smile.
"I'm Koishi Komeiji. I'm a satori youkai, but you don't have to be scared of me. I can't read minds anymore." She tipped her hat. "It's nice to meet you Mister."
[Ah, another person to scare the shit out of when they see him!
Hughes doesn't respond right away, instead thinking before he decides how to break the news. Ed certainly has faith in things he can't see - his belief that he and his brother will get their bodies back is proof enough of that. But coming back from the dead? He of all people would never buy that from a text or even a video, probably asking what kind of sick joke it was. So he's left with little choice.
It doesn't take him a long time to get to the Bay, and it isn't hard to spot Ed; that red cloak is a beacon. He lifts his hand and waves as he approaches.]
Hiya, Ed!
[It only occurs to him after the words have left his mouth that Edward might go his route of "attack first ask questions later" at the sight of his supposedly dead pal alive and kicking.
[How dare he. How dare he just walk up and greet him like this is an every day occurrence and he's not dead. He is suspicious, but he also knows Envy is the only one who could pull this trick of and he happens to be a tiny green lizard in a jar.
He's guarded, he's suspicious, and he's pale. Very pale. He frowns, lips drawn into a line, from stress. He's taller than Hughes would remember, older. The promised day is around the corner, and he's had his seventeenth birthday at some point.
The coat is on one last ride. He's ready to face his do or die moment, but no instead he's here and facing the ghost of his past.
There's a time he would have just attacked but instead he will take a defensive stance, hands at the ready.]
[Yeah, he should have thought this through more. But Ed's not attacking him yet so he's counting it as a win.
He stops a few feet away, not wanting to set him off. If his reaction wasn't a good enough indicator of the fact that he comes from after Hughes' death, the appearance is. He's taller than he was before (must love that). He also looks like shit. Why does everyone always look like shit when they get here?
That's a thought for a later time. He holds his hands up in the universal "I come in peace" way.]
I'm me, Ed. I'm alive. You were taken from... whenever you were taken from, and I was taken from before I died. [He shrugs.] I don't pretend to understand it, but I'm not about to question it.
[He feels like he needs to do something to prove that he's really him. He could start throwing pictures of his daughter around the way only he can, or...]
[A trip from the store back to the tea shop means that Luke walks by the Bay. And Edward is so loud. Of course, Luke was fond of the alchemist when he had last been here, and had been very disappointed when he'd left--so hearing his voice again was exciting.
Luke looks a little bit out of sorts in a coat that seems a bit too small and pants that are a little bit too short (growth spurts are hard). His voice squeaks at first when he speaks, waving so enthusiastically that he almost drops his bag. Puberty, man.]
[He is loud, he's loud by nature and in theory someday that would change. Depending on how old he was when Luke knew him, he's possibly older. At seventeen, he's also taller and looking more like a man and less like a boy. That isn't a bad thing but he turns to look at the newcomer.
People younger than him often tug at his sympathies and he softens his expression. He looks excited to see him at least, that's a nice welcome.]
Hey there. [He smiles a bit.]
I've been here before, huh? [He offers an apologetic look.] I'm afraid I don't remember.
[It's even the exact same arm as Yang's. She's mesmerized for a moment, enough that she can't respond for several seconds. When she shakes her senses back into place, she reaches out to connect.]
How did you do that? With your arm, I mean.
[She points at it slightly with a metal finger. Her arm definitely can't turn into a blade as far as she knows!]

[She searched the screen.]
Are you okay? Hurt in any way?
Video
[He looks more like he's thinking, over smiling, but that's not that strange his mind tends to run a mile a minute sometimes.]
That makes it complicated, doesn't it. [Not really a question.]
Nah, I'm fine. [He waves his hand dismissively, nothing worse than a few bruises, he hasn't gotten into the thick of it yet.]

Edward pulled his sleeve away from her arm, he wasn't in the habit of letting people get away with that.
"Are you the one who kidnapped me?" She was lucky he already retracted his blade, but a clap and he could bring it back, if threatened.

Always when Ed least expects it.
to be fair you dont expect the dead to pop back into your life
That's what's so surprising. What alchemy did you use, Hughes? XD

There is a pamphlet stall with all the information you could ever possibly ever need ever to your left!
LEFT!
Five feet, three and three eighthts inches LEFT!
[Please don't take this sudden burst of hysterics personally, Edward. It's not personal.
It's just Mordecai.]

Alchemy. I'm manipulating the casing into a blade and back. My mechanic hates that, but she probably could've put a knife in it if I asked.
