But he has stopped working and really just looks thoughtful, barely even focusing on the camera. ]

So... The future... It's not set in stone, is it? It's always in motion and regardless what anyone says, the paths we take are still our own. And if we know we're headed for a future that is bad... That path also can still be changed, right?

[ You might say he's been bothered... By thoughts. ]

I don't believe in destiny, I believe we all make choices based on what's in front of us. Who we are back home hasn't been through what we have here, so the person here- the you who is here, can make different choices. Even if we can't affect what happens back home here, we can change this future.

That hand looks familiar.

After living here for almost a year I learned that there seems to exist and infinite number of multiverses and time-lines, which means there's infinite ways someone's future can go. I like to think we make our own choices.

Well, I'm making the choice to not let those things you told me about happen, Kaytoo.

But in this world, it is a complicated subject. There is speculation, supported by anecdotal evidence, that time flows differently here than it does in our world. It might even exist outside of time as we know it. There are those from my world, for example, who have been brought here more than once. Each time they returned, they were brought from different time periods, and with no memories of their previous time here.

There are countless theories about time and fate. I've read that each time you make a choice, two futures are born: one where you decided one thing, and one where you decided another. And with so many different people making so many choices, the future continues to spread and divide.

So if there's a certain future you want to see, you'd best make the right choices to reach that future.

[She shrugs her shoulders, one arm leaning on the desk in front of her.]

If you're interested, I suggest you read the principles lying behind Schroedinger's cat. It gives you a lot to think about.

That's pretty much what Master Yoda used to say... That there's always multiple future happening at the same time. It only gets irritating once you get reports of certain events in the future from different sources.

It makes you wonder.

But there's a couple of events in the future... The future back home... I need to make sure they don't happen.

We always have a choice in things. However knowing something that will happen in the future comes with a bigger choice with the potential of changing a future of not only you but potentially a whole world. It's an interesting thought isn't it?

We may actually be speaking of an entire galaxy, yeah. But it sort of includes preventing the destruction of a planet. I'm just not sure how I'd approach it if I hadn't the knowledge I gathered here.

Nothing's set in stone. The choices we make where we're from are still just that: our choices. We might regret them, we might even hate ourselves for them, but that doesn't mean they have to be our only choices.

The same goes for here. If you don't like the choices you've made on your world, this could be a fresh start.

Or a worse one.
