Action for Genessia | Eventual Video
[He had several questions, upon waking up. An uncomfortable concoction of emotions and reactions bubbling around inside of him, all demanding he do something.
... So he collected his communicator. And the money he'd woken up beside. And then he consulted the hologram, memorizing every word. He went outside, and grabbed the appropriate pamphlets, reading it all very carefully, noting well the map.
At some point, anyone down by the bay would find him sitting, calm, at least by all appearances, slowly scrolling through the communicator, reading, listening to, and watching every single post he could access.
Granted, if anyone came near, they'd find themselves being addressed.]
Excuse me, if I may have a moment of your time?
[And there he is, looking calm, cool and confident. Still outside, apparently, the sounds of street traffic make that pretty clear]
Before I begin introducing myself, is there anyone present who knows what I mean when I say I'm currently looking for members of the Voltron Coalition?

He didn't take up much space, really. He was a skinny, somewhat bony man under those holy robes, and years of travel and battle hadn't done him any favors there. Food wasn't always a priority. He slung his further arm over the arm of the bench and that was that.
"The more common translation would be a demon. You have demons?"
no subject
His nose wrinkles just a little.
"... So you are telling me that I am similar unto a demon, in your world, by merit of my appearance?"
no subject
Meaning, it wasn't a value judgement.
no subject
Look, be it far from him to be too caught up in his appearance, he's no where near obsessed.
But as far as he knew, evil demonic beings didn't look nice.
"Regardless, thank you." Lord tho. "What year is it? Or rather, was it, when you left?"

"..." Sanzo sat in silence, just smoking and thinking. It might seem for a few moments like he hadn't heard Lotor, or was ignoring him -- which, even for Sanzo, would be pretty out of the blue here.
"...Two thousand and... ah... fifteen? Seventeen?"
Shit fuck.
no subject
Rather... well lord only knew how long Sanzo had actually been here. Might have just lost track.
"It's fine, it's not entirely necessary for me to know. It's simply for comparisons sake." So stop stressing about that.
"Could you tell me more about youkai?"
no subject
"Probably. What do you want to know about them?"
no subject
Is this the case with yours?
Or are they native to the planet?"
no subject
He didn't believe youkai were inherently evil, but that they carried something dark in them was impossible to deny. Something dark that the minus wave had twisted up and pulled out of so many of them.
no subject
"Yin and Yang... This is a spiritual concept, isn't it?"
no subject
And Sanzo tipped his head back to blow a perfect smoke ring up into the sky.
"...Seems to be how it all works, though."
no subject
"Forgive me if the answer to this question is far too long, I'm aware that religion requires a far more complex answer than a mere sentence, but could you describe the concept to me?"
no subject
Sanzo, that's not helpful.
"Yin's dark, yang's light."
No, it was never that simple, of course, but like hell if Sanzo was going to admit that. In his experience, the simpler you kept this shit, the better; people over-complicating it was where they tended to go wrong.
"Can't see without light. But light without dark is just as blinding."
See? What a good priest.
