In Genessia City, wandering around today, is a lanky teenaged hobo former hobo.

He's hitting up all of the grocery stores he can walk to.

Not specifically to buy anything ... if someone runs into him, they'll catch him scowling and looking at prices under his breath. Shinjiro knows how it looks, though, and he'll usually walk out of the store with something. A jar of concentrated miso. Cabbage, vinegar, carrots, onion. He tries to pick things which don't weigh too much, considering his trek about town, but he also tries to pick things which won't spoil too quickly. After all, even though he hasn't found a job just yet, whatever he does find might not give him a lot of time to do more than quick food prep.

He might run into people there, or on his way from store to store.

Eventually, though, he'll end up at an nondescript cafe near Genssia Commons, buying the cheapest tea on its menu. Sitting outside, bags stacked on the ground beside him against the wall, he tries to do some research on the futuristic smart phone. Shinjiro looks frustrated, and it's really very clear he's not used to the device he was given on arrival.

Shinjiro also looks deeply conflicted about something.

[ Other than camping and the great outdoors, there's nothing David loves more than making new friends and bonding with them. As someone who always likes to see the sunny side of things and hope for the best it means the world to him to have entered such a questionable situation yet made friends all the same, so when Emerald suggested hanging out for a night, watching some scary movies, eating some popcorn...

What could go wrong?

He's nothing if not punctual - at the precise minute of the precise hour that they apparently agreed on he's knocking at her door with the tip of his boot. Under one arm is a big bag with an assortment of different treats, ranging from candy to chips to a bag of popcorn kernels just waiting to be microwaved. Under his other arm is a shopping bag with a few bottles of soda - cola, something lemon-lime, and root beer, because he had forgotten to ask what she liked and figured she would probably be okay with one of those three. ]

I saw this ad in the newspaper... [reads it aloud]

I'm new and I need a job. I'm not very skilled in much, but I can make coffees and espressos, and I'm not a bad cook if you need one. Anyway, I hope this gets to you.

Sonico has been missing from her home for a few days now, but at least she left a note. It was quite a simple note that talked of giving space to her housemates, and suggesting that Sonico was unhappy living there.

So instead, Sonico can be found with her bicycle and a large backpack in the various towns and cities. She doesn't appear to have settled anywhere for more than a night, and she has the appearance of a girl who has run away from home.

If you don't see Sonico wandering the towns and villages, that's because she has been spending all of her time in Genessia library. She'll be browsing and hesitating in the fiction aisles, or more likely fast asleep at a desk in a hidden corner of the reference section.

[To say that Scott had a rude awakening was to put it lightly. When the window of his temporary residence broke, he immediately expected some sort of attack and his hand flew to his visor. It turned out it was only a newspaper and Scott had to remind himself that no one had reason to hate mutants in this city. As far as he knew, that's it. It wasn't as if people needed a logical reason.

But that was a worry for another day. He was stuck with a broken window and glass all over the floor. After cleaning that, he decided it was his responsibility to fix it. He can now be found still in his room, the door open for the extra light it provided, trying to add the new window frame.]
