My name is Eliot Durant and I'll one of your new librarians at the Genessia Library. I've memorized a portion of the catalog already, so you can ask me any questions about finding the books that you need. 

I would also like to extend my services as a Living Library to anyone who needs them. I can store any amount of information in my memory and retrieve it when necessary. So if anyone has something they need stored in record, please let me know. [Eliot works the morning and afternoon shift. Should anyone come swing by the library, they'll get a cheerful wave and soft, almost muted call of 'Welcome~!' [He honestly felt great, striding around in his outfit once more. There was a certain freedom feeling good about himself. While he didn't intend on taking up heroism in this world, there were a lot of things he was doing from community service, by helping the elderly across the street, to rescuing dogs. He's a regular do-gooder and for once, he wasn't feeling at all like his time limit would eat on him.]

[An orange haired girl appears on the feed, waving cheerfully.] Salutations, Genessia! My name is Penny, and it's a pleasure to meet all of you. [A pause.] I've come to understand that many of us were brought here from our own worlds, and I've decided that I'd like to help out as much as I can while I'm here!

I'm sure it must be strange winding up in an unfamiliar place... it's also rather exciting, though! [Of course, she was a little nervous. Not as nervous as she could be, considering she saw a familiar face in a hologram not long after her arrival... but the concept of being in a new world, a new universe, excited her more than it scared or unnerved her. Even if it placed her far, far away from her father. She'll just have to hope he doesn't notice she's gone. She does hate worrying him.]

To some, Penny may stand out more than the average new arrival, with her brightly colored hair and outfit -- but to some she may blend in more. It's not hard to spot her stopping and staring at every new thing she finds with slightly widened eyes, or pestering passersby with questions about the world that she hadn't found the answer to yet. Trying to make new friends and learn as much as she possibly can about this new world she's been 'kidnapped' to.

[The video comes on suddenly as a scene is developing. Two cats stare at each other. These aren't your average cats. One is small, black fur, wearing a suit as he always does. Many will recognize Mordecai as the cat who hates Valentine's Day and the other is a strange. A tall orange and white furred cat with an eye patch and wearing 1920s era clothes. The two stare each other down for a long moment before Mordecai marches toward the larger cat.]

Alta Kaka! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE? YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE!

[Mordecai yells at the larger cat, complete with a jabbing poke to the chest. The taller cat doesn't react for a moment. He stares, his poison green eye staring down at Mordecai for a moment.

Then a massive fist strikes out and hits Mordecai right between the eyes. What a wonderful introduction to the city, Viktor.]

[8:30 PM. Stone Ridge Room 104's kitchen. It's early for V-Day but love's certainly in the air. Or rather, on the air. There's music playing from a room away as Marc grills some kebabs for dinner. He opens his window, waving smoke into the moonlit sky before turning to his communicator.]

Little advice if you're making that big confession on the 14th. Don't take 'no' too hard. The idea that they're the one for you isn't always mutual. Mope if you have to, but respect it and move on. [He shrugs.] Or try again; you never know. As long as you keep moving.

And if they say 'yes,' remember that the fairy tale's not over. It's actually just getting started. So see it through with all you've got. Sooner or later, you'll both know if you chose right.

[There's a second or two of dead air, suggesting a guy who either doesn't do this much or hasn't done it in a long time. Maybe both. Finally, the grizzled ex-mercenary clears his throat.]

...oh yeah, name's Marc. I teach capoeira at Sand Gym here in Gen. Not the most outspoken guy in any of the five cities, but I've been here around two years and seen quite a few faces come and go. I'm thinking not all of them have to stay strangers.

[That's the closest he'll get to "Nice to meet you. See you around." He looks back at his indoor grill and smiles right when an offscreen alarm goes off. Dinner's ready.]

Accidental Video!

[suddenly the device turned on, and it seemed as though it had fallen over and suddenly turned on. what could be seen was an upward angle of ryuji, standing in front of his mirror. he was just staring at him, humming as he turned his head to look at himself from different angles. he brought a hand up and moved it through his hair, fussing with it as he grabbed at the spikes and began to pull on the ends of them.]

Gotta dye it again... [he muttered to himself. ryuji had begun to dye his hair because he wanted to rebel against a few certain shitty adults, but he's kept it since he really does like it. but...]

Should I change my hair? Maybe like... [he ran some water from the tap, and he went and dunked his face in the sink. he slicked his hair back, now looking at himself in the mirror again with his weird slicked back hair.]

Geehh.... no way man, no way! [bad idea! he messed it up again. he paused and looked down at himself as well.] I should at least get some new clothes-... or somethin'.
