Anne Forsythe
[When the feed switches on, a woman's face appears--one that might be called beautiful by human standards, delicate features framed by soft gold hair and full lips, currently pursed in a thoughtful little pout. Her dark eyes are briefly off center while she finishes switching on her phone--whups! She's recording.

Immediately, her smile turns dazzling--as well as genuinely friendly, there's precious little insincerity in that radiant expression. Holding the phone at length with the practice of one used to technology, thankfully, she offers the network a cheerful little wave of one perfectly manicured hand, just a little bit at odds with the faded Aerosmith t-shirt and cutoffs she's wearing.]

Hi, all! My name is Anne--and I'm new. Don't worry, I paid close attention to that lovely little hologram that greeted me when I woke up. That's a really good idea, you know? It's so convenient! [She laughs a little with a sheepish shrug.] This isn't my first rodeo--it's just the first time I ended up somewhere I didn't choose to go.

Anyway. [She licks her lips, then huffs out a little sigh.] So, my main reason for the message is networking. [She shifts the camera with a little flourish of her free hand, showing she's in her assigned room in the Common Space.] Got my new digs, but honestly? I was done with dorm life after UCLA. I need work, and I prefer to get it through personal recommendation--always the best way. Now I do have some experience in publishing and modeling, but the first bit of interdimensional hopping I did, I worked as a stripper.

[Like you do.]

I even owned my own club, but suffice to say I'll be starting over here, won't I? Can anyone offer me opinions on the adult entertainment scene? Oh, I'm checking the classifieds, too, but as I said: if you've worked somewhere and it sucks, you'll tell a girl, right?

[She pauses to blow a little kiss at the camera.]

Thanks in advance, lovelies! [She moves to end the feed, but then stops abruptly, as if having forgotten something.]

Oh, and you New Dodge people? Hit me up, we should chat. I know you're here, and if I have to hunt you down? You're buying when we go for coffee.

[With another little wave, she disconnects the feed.]

[A short dark-haired man appears disgruntled after having to figure everything out on his own because pride would never allow him to beg anyone's assistance. No matter how inept he is with technology.]

I was informed these would be my temporary accommodations until I found employment. [Vegeta rubs his temple like it would rid him of the annoyance all together. It didn't. He was still there, along way from home, with little to no idea how he got there. If he's calm at all it's because he's grown used to being uncomfortable. ]

This place is hardly suitable for someone of my caliber, and I must leave it at once! There isn't even any space to train. How can anyone live like this?

As much as it displeases me to say, I will find a job quickly so I can be free of this place.

[He looks around the small room like it's going to be different than the previous times he's looked behind him. Vegeta clicks his tongue and ends the video feed in frustration. The point was to reach out for job opportunities, but he can't bring himself to request anything from strangers in a world he knows nothing about.]

A friend of mine likes to cook and bake. I've been collecting recipes for a year or so in order to make her a cookbook as a present.

I think I've exhausted the locals. Does anyone have recipes from their home world they're willing to share?

I'll be testing the recipes before I put them in the book, so don't give me anything with unobtainable ingredients.

Hey so, December is coming and I decided that I wanted to write an article for the newspaper about the perfect spots to go to over December. So I ask you dear people to suggest places you think would be good places to take a date or even a group of friends and I will then be rating them and let you all know what I think will be the best.

I will not be the only judge. I'll be taking my girlfriend who right now will be unaware, so if you come across Hikari don't tell her, okay.

[ This video opens with a young boy, dressed like some kind of insane sci-fi cowboy, seated at the coffee shop in the Genessia library. He's got a nice cup of tea, as well as an entire pizza that he apparently brought in with him. He also has a pretty massive stack of books on his table. ]

Hey everyone, the name's Jr. I got here last night, and I was pretty pissed off. [ He gives a quiet and sheepish laugh as he rubs the back of his head absently. ] I bet that happens a lot. But now that I'm looking around, this place ain't so bad. There's a physical library! You can take books for free. Real ones!

[ As if to prove it, he spins the camera around to show his table, and the library shelves beyond the small coffee shop. Real books are hard to come by in his time, okay? ]

The food's great too! And this whole place totally looks authentic, I bet it's really like being on Lost Jerusalem!

[ He'll figure out most people call it Earth... Eventually. ]

I read the brochure and watched the hologram too, but what's the real story? No one's figured out how we got here yet?

Video

[ The video shows a young man with a confused expression. He appears to be examining the communicator, absentmindedly.]

Hmm, I've never considered anything but sumo as a profession... oh, it's on.

[ He faces the camera more directly. He wonders if he should introduce himself.]

Ah, hello? My name is Sousuke. Are there any sumo stables around?

Action, by the Bay

[ Waking up in a small pod, in a completely unfamiliar area is rather disconcerting. To calm himself, he starts doing shiko. The form for these repetitive leg raises is impeccable. ]

Action, wandering around Genessia
[
He's walking around with his hair loose, and wearing a mawashi. He's oblivious to the stares.

He isn't sure of a direction, or where to go first. With sudden stops, changes in direction and disorientation from being brought to a new world, there's a few collisions.
]

Oh, sorry.

[ Anyone who gets knocked down from bumping into him is lifted off the ground.]

Are you hurt anywhere?

Guardian nominations, huh?

Huh, that's a weird way to start some sort of elections in Genessia. What are Guardians anyway?

Well, it doesn't matter. Because there's one thing I should know, I don't trust the people who will be nominated for it. And neither should you.

Not long ago someone posed a question about moving on after losing someone important to death.

But this place offers a different sort of dilemma.

I am the one who died. I arrived without memory of my death only for it to return to me weeks afterward. I had been comforted at first with assurances that time is halted in our worlds, that no time will be lost in the interim--but that is not the case for me. If I leave this place I leave to nothing. I have no hope of seeing my family again. I have no hope of knowing what became of them--and the events surrounding my death do not indicate anything good.

What am I supposed to do? When the husband I had arrives fifteen years after my death with too much blood and time separating us to rekindle what we once had... and when that same husband is then sent back without a trace. He will not remember me. He will only remember the ghost that has haunted him for all that time. I am dead to him all over again.

And what of me? Do I continue trying to live as a wife whose husband may or may not ever return here? Who may return again years past and distant? Who may return re-married with a new family? Do I consider myself a widow? Because for me it is as though they have all died. My husband, my father, my brother, everyone I ever knew or loved--all of them out of reach with no hope of seeing them again aside from the whims of whatever these "gods" seem fit to play.

What am I supposed to do with this unwanted "second chance" where I am trapped in my own head to the point that I feel as though I've been consigned to my own personal hell?

What am I supposed to do? What is the right thing to do?

It seems as though I cannot find enough to keep myself busy, now that the spa decided to open seems to be running smoothly. [behind her in the feed, an ocean themed waiting room with large aquariums can be seen.] I've decided to look for something else to occupy my time.

[there's a pause as she looks thoughtfully off camera.]

I have been thinking, wouldn't it be a good idea to fund better starting accommodations for new arrivals? If nothing else, perhaps the rooms could use an artistic hand after all of the people who have passed through them. What sort of charity event would all of you like to see to raise these sorts of funds? [she lifts a hand to tuck some of her long hair behind her ear, but that one stubborn section still falls in front of her face.]

I've asked locals, and I've heard mention of a Date Auction being run in the past. Perhaps something of that sort would interest most of you? Though, I feel adding a less romance oriented version to go along side it would be appropriate to raise the most money. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
