[ On waking in the pod, Lucy was admittedly very.. disoriented. It wasn't her apartment back home OR in that other world she'd been in for a year. MOreover, Natsu wasn't with her like usual. Or Levy, or Erza. But maybe they'd gone to scout ahead? ]

[ No, she was sure Natsu would have waited. After looking over the items left with her and familiarizing herself with the new equipment (thankfully she was familiar enough with a thing like that so it didn't take long for her to understand), she slipped out of the pod, searching around the Bay first, before heading out to the city.

Boy did she hope her friends were here somewhere. One can find Lucy exploring/scouting around not far from the Bay, her videophone in hand. ]

[ It isn't long after she's digested all the information she was given before she fussed with the videophone enough to turn it on to broadcast a question. ]

Hi - I'm new here, and I'm looking for some friends of mine. I'm not sure if they're here, but they all have the symbol of our guild on their body - it looks like this. Though it isn't always on the hand. But if you see anyone with a tattoo matching that description, please let me know. My name is Lucy; Lucy Heartfilia, from Fairy Tail.

[He follows after Lucy while taking in the surroundings. This place certainly looked much nicer than Exsilium.]

Back in the other world? I don't know really. All we can do is hope they show up soon.

[Though he's not as eager to see Zeref. Who knows maybe not that he's left that world he will start pestering Natsu to kill him again.]

[ Indeed they do. She glances up at the sky every now and again as she walks, because aside for back home it's /glorious/ to see the sky and it not be full of snow or rain or overcast gloomy clouds. ]

Yeah. Really they may not even be back there - they could be back home too. [ She studied the map again, thoughtful. ]

Compared to Exsilium though, this place is really beautiful. [ Absently she reached up to the necklace with the green stones around her neck, her hand stilling at the realization that the necklace she'd been given back in Exsilium was gone. She glanced towards Natsu, in particular his hands, but she didn't see the gauntlets either. ]

I guess our belongings back there didn't carry over either. [ That was a shame too; he put so much thought into her gifts. ]

[Yeah feeling the sun in their face is certainly comforting to say the least. Even so Natsu has thoughts of his own and he notices how light his hands feel. In a way they also feel a little cold. Which makes no sense really given his internal temperature at all times. But he'd grown used to having those gauntlets with him all the time they were like part of him. And now that part was gone. He shook his head and frowned when Lucy decided to voice that train of thought.]

Yeah. Your gifts and everything I gathered since we got to Exsilium...

[ Just like LUcy grew used to having that necklace around her neck. Even though she had a new necklace now, it felt naked without the one he gave her. ]

But I still remember them.

[ And the memory of it was just as good? Maybe? ]

Even though the memories we made back there aren't here - [ She coughs slightly, remembering a memory in particular ]

it doesn't mean we can't make more. [ she continues after clearing her throat a little. ]

Yeah. Me too.

[He's going to miss his tiny dragon head pets but oh well. No point complaining about that now.]

Making more memories huh? I guess that's a good point.

[Luckily he still has the memories that count including ones that would make Lucy's face go red all the way to her ears.]

We just need to figure out where we stand in this place first.

[ Y-yeah it's the memories that would make her turn red that are the problem! Well.. not a problem per se, but it would certainly make her flustered to speechlessness. Don't bring it up Natsu! ]

Right. While we're looking around, we should see if we can find a place to stay even if it's only for a little while. Especially if Erza and Levy show up. [ Let alone anyone else. ]

There's one of the archways now. I think that's the one that goes to Fayren.

[No worries. THey would make more of that nature for sure. Especially given that Natsu found he quite liked the feeling of kissing Lucy and her kissing back.]

Yeah we'll need a house for a while. I'm still staying with you though, right?

[Yes that is important.]

Woah this thing's huuuuge!

[ She will be in a perpetual ~~state of bliss~~ shade of pink, mark my words. .. though if she were honest with herself she'd admit that she liked it too. However, being honest with herself was the absolute last thing she was doing. At the moment. ]

Even if we pool our money together, the most we might be able to manage is renting a small place for the time being. There's no Initiative here to provide housing or payment, but I bet a place as big as this, they'll have no lack of job opportunities.

[ Wait that question .. as if she would say no to that. Still she stammers her response slightly. ]

O-Of course. [ IN YOUR OWN BED hahaha yeah like that'll happen. Unless Erza finds out. At his reaction to the archway, Lucy giggles, proceeding to step through - the change between cities almost immediate, really. Lucy was suitably impressed. ... no idea what kind of magic went into that archway or how they connected like that, BUT maybe it was one of those things you shouldn't think about too hard. ]

[It'll bring happiness alongside those flail embarrassing moments.]

Yeah that's true. Maybe they've got monsters on the outside whose asses we can kick.

[Cause kicking monster butts is totally a valid occupation.]

[The transit is near instant and Natsu stumbles a little on landing.]

That was crazy fast!

[ Well yes. That goes without saying though. ]

Aheh..maybe..? [ She was a little worried about the KINDS of monsters that might be out there. Why can't they just have a nice fluffy little job? Like... sheep herding. But no, Natsu likes challenging himself a lot. ]

We can always ask around - I'm sure some of the locals here will know about jobs and things. [ Though when he stumbled, she put her arm out to help steady him. ]

Are you okay?

[Hey sheep herding would involve wolves too. Maybe possibly. Most likely. Though now that he's lost the boon of his gauntlets, he is a little eager to get a feel where his power is at the moment.]

Yeah that's an idea.

[He recovers quickly and laughs a little at his momentary blunder.]

Yeah just wasn't prepared for the sudden move. Beats using transports though.

[ Oh yeah... but even if there are wolves mayby possibly most likely, they're small compared to the beasts they've gone up against before. Or maybe still will. As far as power level, it was true - her power had probably dropped back down to what it was when she was first pulled into Exsilium and trying to summon everyone like she had for Christmas would leave her with a heckuva lot more than just being tired. ]

I'll say, [ She grins. ] It's pretty convenient we can go between cities without having to use a train or anything like back home.

[ Still now that they knew what to expect, it wouldn't make going between cities nearly so tricky. ]

You know.. [ She mused after a moment, glancing around. ] This place almost reminds me of Hargeon a little...

[ A tiny bit. ]

[Well he'd just have to train with her all over again. Once they were firmly settled anyway.]

Yeah totally. If only we had stuff like this back home too. I'd never be motion sick again!

[He blinks as she mentions the port city where they met.]

Huh? I guess. At least there's no fake salamander trying to fool and kidnap girls this time.

[ She was okay with that. More time spent with Natsu was a win for her~! She giggles a little. ]

Who knows, maybe someone will. Maybe after this whole mess with Tartaros is over, anyway. [ Surely there's a genius mage about who's thought about the convenience of instant travel. ]

Yeah. I don't know how he thought he'd get away with that. [ Or how he HAD been. She checked the map again. ]

Okay it looks like there's an inn and a tavern around here - not far apart from each other either. We can get a room at the i- [ LUCY-BRAIN, stop parsing that wrong. ]

Um... I-I mean we can find a place to stay for the night, and then get something to eat before we look around more.

Heh that would be awesome. And if not we can just give the idea to someone who could do it.

[Ideas were as good as putting them into practice of course.]

He was an idiot.with how big Fairy Tail was, he never thought one of us would hear about him eventually.

[He looked over Lucy's shoulder at her map,]

Yeah the inn sounds like the best start. We got some money I think that we can put together to get a room.

Right! I'll have to write it down - maybe if this place sends us back, I'll be able to bring it with me.

[ ...although experience says otherwise. She didnt' even have any of her writings. She glanced towards Natsu out of the corner of her eye, clearing her throat a little. ]

He really was. Or he was underestimating Fairy Tail - everyone seems to do that, after all. [ And with a plan set, she nods firmly, turning to head towards the inn.]

Probably we'll be able to rent enoughf or a few nights at least.

[ Time enough to figure the place out and get some work. ... she probably should be more upset about being kidnapped to another world AGAIN, but knowing time had stopped back home, -and- having Natsu with her was more than a little reassuring. It seemed a lot more peaceful here than in Exsilium - though she knew better than to just assume that nothing bad ever happened here. ]

You're gonna need a new notebook or journal though.

[Simce he can't see the old one anywhere on Lucy.]

Probably both. The guy wasn't really bright.

[He eyes the money wad curiously and gives it a tantive sniff.]

Yeah we should have enough for something like that.

I think there are some stores in the other cities I can get one from.

[ And he sniffs the money. You are so weird, Natsu. Aside from the bizarre look she gave the Dragonslayer, Lucy didn't comment, counting the money for a moment. ]

Well I don't know what the cost of rooms and money is like here, but if it's not ridiculously expensive, I think we'll be okay. We might even have money left over.

There's gotta be stores in one of these four cities.

[Though from the looks of the buildings they might even find a store right there. Oh well. That was what exploring was for.]

We can use my money for the room first. Not like I really have anything to buy in here yet.

Definitely, they seem to be big enough. The level of technology here is different from that other city we were in - and Exsilium too, so I guess it depends on what city you're in.

[ She had to admit, she was extremely curious about what they'd fine here. Glancing towards Natsu again at the offer, she tilted her head. ]

You sure? Well, I'll treat dinner then. [ Fair is fair! And she could smell food being cooked at the tavern nearby already. Something meaty, whatever it was. But, a room first! Probably a good thing that they didn't have anything they needed to put away. She put a hand on the door to the inn, pushing it open, thoughts elsewhere. The innkeeper looked pretty nice though, looking up as they entered.]

"Well hello there! I haven't seen you around town before. Need a room for the night?"

[ Lucy wasn't paying attention, glancing out the window in hopes of catching sight of a familiar face, so the innkeeper turned to Natsu. ]

"One or two beds?"

[ Don't say one, Don't say one... ]

AT least these things don't look that more complicated than the device back in Exsilium.

[When she offered to treat him to dinner he grinned a little wider. Yet another slight similarity with Hargeon. Back then she'd bought him and Happy lunch for saving her from the fake salamander's spell.

The place didn't have any weird scents so Natsu didn't have reason to distrust the inn keeper.]

Yeah we just woke up in the bay and made our way here. We could definitely use a room. As for beds, well doesn't really matter. Whatever you've got freed up.

[Then again even if they got two beds, odds were he would either push the bed closer to hers or just outright climb in her bed regardless.]]

Yeah, that's pretty lucky.

[ Lucy chuckled. Unable to see anyone familiar outside, she turned and padded back towards Natsu and the innkeeper, who was looking through her ledger. ]

"You're in luck: We've got two rooms left, both with two beds. Just sign here .."

[ She turned the ledger around and held out her pen, giving the cost (Reasonable cost too yay!) for the room. ]

"The first night is discounted since you're new, if you stay longer than that it's full price."

[ Which is pretty nice of her. She probably gets a lot of visitors to make a deal like that. ]

[Seemed the gods of this place were merciful after all.]

Awesome.

[Natsu took the pen and signed whatever was needed before passing the pen to Lucy and then handing the discounted fee to the inn keeper from his funds.]

Since we're kinda new here, do you have any advice for us about this place?

[Might as well start getting answers from the first person who seemed polite and friendly enough.]

[ The innkeeper looked thoughtful, taking the money as Lucy signed her name onto the ledger. ]

"Well you might want to be careful if you travel outside of town. Monsters and rogue bandits find travelers to be easy prey if you're careless. If there's any trouble about in town, you can speak with the City Champion, or pray to her for assistance."

[ The innkeeper paused again, then seemed to 'oh'. ]

"And do try to keep an open mind - not all of our inhabitants are human."

So those guys do exist here too. Sweet!

[He punches his palm eagerly with an eager grin. Though he does blink at the mention of a city champion.]

Pray? What is she lie like a goddess or something?

[Either way sounds like something they should probably meet at some point.]

That's no problem with me. Back home we even made friends with a tribe of demons who were really nice.
