Fortunately -- or unfortunately for them both depending on your perspective -- their little spot of heaven was about to be intruded upon. Unintentionally, but intruded nonetheless as two women walk by, catching sight of the pair and giggle loudly. Loud enough to snap Lucy out of her pure delight, her eyes snapping open and breaking the kiss with a startled gasp. She'd lean away too, but he probably still wasn't letting her go, huh?
And boy was LUcy ever beet red. Ack ack. Not only had she forgotten to pull his scarf in the way but... ... but she still wanted to kiss him. Augh.

"So...ummmm ready to go now?" Since this whole thing did start from the fact that there was something left undone and she did kiss him. SO maybe that counted?

I mean.
N.. not at all.
She... she totally didn't want to kiss him again. She swallowed nervously, really wishing she knew what he was thinking. He kissed her back, so there was that, but...
"...h... y.... y... yeah." She stammered faintly.
She could strangle whoever walked by them. Couldn't they have taken a different path? That sensation of his arm around her, the taste of his lips - GGKSLGH STOP IT. She stumbled to her feet, suddenly ten times tenser than she was when she was kissing him, her brain going into overdrive and freaking out.

There it was though, that gesture she'd been doing an awful lot recently. Just touching that pendant. IT was odd but it made him more than a little happy to know it was that precious to her.

Stealing a quick glance at Natsu in one of the moments he wasn't looking at her, she felt herself warm again, clearing her throat slightly. Her hand tightening in his with a light squeeze, she glanced away a little awkwardly. "Well... I... I had fun. What about you...?"

She shook her head quickly, changing the subject. "There probably won't be another gala like that for a while, so you won't have to wear any suits anytime soon."
no subject
"It's just not really my style. You definitely fit right in with fancy clothes tho." That was about the closest thing to an outright compliment as she was going to get.
no subject
"What? O-oh..! Y-well, I... I guess, but I'll be glad to be out of these shoes. Wearing them for so many hours is getting a little painful, haha...ha...h...a..h."
Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp.

"...No, I'm not just saying that..." She DID dare. And huffily too. It was only a small, teeny tiny fib. She -could- make it back to their room at Fayren fine. It's just, her feet would be killing her afterwards.

So here have Natsu getting even more in your Grill Lucy as he just stares wordlessly into your eyes.
no subject
"...w..what are you looking at me like that for. You don't have to worry so much..." You're killing her, man. WHERE IS THE THIRD PARTY INTERFERENCE WHEN SHE REALLY NEEDS ONE.
