WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

[ Sakura is wearing a cute pink dress that’s adorned with ribbons and lace. She picks her way along the assortment of treats, making herself a small plate, before looking for a seat. Everything looks amazing though she’s more excited for the auction. She might have signed up a few people she knew and while she’s only sixteen she has money so she might bid on a few of her friends as well.

She isn’t opposed to dancing or talking with anyone but for now she’s going to nibble at the sweet cakes and sip the sparkling liquid that she’s found. After the auction she might confess to Gale that she had signed him up and has no idea what it is he actually does as a job.]

[Why wait until the end? Gale noticed her and approached, leaning over her shoulder with a smile. While reaching beside him and snatching one of the tiny cakes on the table.]

What? There's a pretty girl here with no escort? That just doesn't seem right.

[Sakura smiles at Gale feeling a little bit embarrassed. She shakes her head however keeps her smile in place.]

I don't have anyone like that but... um...

[She falters slightly, her eyes falling towards the food.]

I didn't know your profession...

[He looks a little confused, and isn't entirely sure what Sakura's saying. His profession? If he hadn't been distracted by other ongoings at the party, he'd probably put two and two together faster, but right now the only result he's getting is five.]

Hey now, what're you embarrassed about?

[Sakura looks up at Gale putting on the most convincing smile she can muster.]

I signed you up for the auction...

[For a moment, Gale looks stunned. He's not sure how to react at first, but in a few seconds, a wide grin spreads on his face.]

It was you? Really?

[Oh, Sakura, you're adorable. He just can't help but laugh, especially because now the "protector of the people" thing just got way cuter. Sakura would have been the least likely suspect to him- he would have suspected Troy and Dante as being the culprit first. He winks at her.]

Were you lookin' out for me and my dating life there, kid?

Yeah... I wanted you to be happy.

[Since Fai seems to have found someone.]

I'm sorry I don't know your job.

[He really can't get over how adorable Sakura is right now. Which is probably apparent by that big smile plastered on his face.]

You don't have to worry yourself about an old guy like me.

[He pops the little cake he snagged into his mouth, then chuckles.]

To be honest, you're not too far off. I'm part bounty hunter, part Aster troubleshooter. So you could easily say a bounty hunter's a 'protector of the people.'

[Sakura doesn't think that Gale is really that old but then she knows Fai is pretty old even though he looks rather young. At his last comment, Sakura smiles.]

I think it suits you.

[Her grin widens.]

You're always protecting me.

[While Sakura is preoccupied with the cakes, an unattended red-eyed crow is just strutting through the venue casually. That is, until it sees Sakura. And all those dangly ribbons on her dress.

Don't mind any light tugging you may feel on your dress, Sakura. It's just a tiny crow out to cause shenanigans by getting one of the ribbons in its beak.]

[Sakura feels a light tug and then looks down at her dress. An expression of surprise flicks across her features, however it's quickly replaced by worry.]

Don't do that it will tear.

[She looks at her plate and then tries to wave the bird into her lap.]

Here let me feed you this...

[She takes a small strawberry and puts it in the palm of her hand hoping to goat the bird away from the ribbons.]

[Oh boy, is that food? It is! Nadir is instantly distracted and the ribbon slides harmlessly out of is beak, the crow squawking and hopping up into her lap. Goading away successful! It tilts its head and tries to take the entire strawberry in its beak, but that's not seemingly going over well.]

[Sakura goes from happy to worried very quickly.]

Oh no. Let me cut it up for you.

[She quickly takes her hand away and uses a fork to cut up the strawberry. She hands it back to the bird quickly knowing that he probably isn't patient.]

[The crow stares at up at her, and surprisingly, waiting patiently. She's giving him food! So he'll sit and behave, cawing happily at her.

You know who's not happy though? The brown haired guy who sensed Nadir's presence in the establishment and approaching with haste, while a blue-eyed crow is just chilling on his shoulder.]

Nadir, I thought I ordered you to stay outside.

[spitfireprincess]

[Sakura looks up at him with an apologetic smile.]

I'm sorry. I was feeding him.

[Cipher does pause a moment when he realizes who Nadir's hanging around. Shit. It was that one girl in Everglade that he showed his other forms to. Act casual and act like strangers, Cipher.]

No, it's quite alright. He's the one that decided he didn't want to listen to me again. I'm sorry that he was bothering you.

[Nadir currently was pretty content in completely ignoring Cipher for the time being while it ate the strawberry pieces. Cipher frowned a little.]

I suspect I know why he was drawn to you. He didn't damage your dress, did he?

[Sakura shakes her head.]

No he didn't. It's really okay. If you'd like I can guide him outside.

[Richard loves a good party. It's a great way to spend time with friends that isn't, well, terrible, and he's enjoying seeing so many people here, even if it is a well-to-do sort of party, like the ones his brother would often facilitate. Still, everyone seemed to be having a good time and he wasn't about to argue with that.

When he sees her by the refreshments table, he smiles as he approaches.]

Hey, Sakura. You look lovely this evening.

[Sakura turns and feels herself smile at the sight of Richard.]

Oh! Richard, I'm glad you made it.

[She holds up her plate.]

[Richard looks at the plate she offers, smiling.]

I haven't. May I?

[What he took from her plate was a very tasty looking piece of carrot cake, which he happened to like very much.

He ate half of it in one bite, it being a small piece in the first place, and smiled after swallowing.]

[Sakura’s smile widens as she looks up at Richard. A small giggle escapes her lips and she carefully picked up a napkin from the buffet handing it over to Richard.]

You have some icing on your lip.

[She’s glad he likes it, not that she’s made these particular cakes.]

You should try the strawberries too.

[Sakura really likes strawberries.]

[He ducks his head bashfully and wipes his lip with the napkin she provided before looking over to the strawberries, smiling.]

Those are the springberries I was hoping to find! [He reaches for one, ignoring the chocolate.] I very much enjoy springberries....what did you call them? Straw-berries?

[Sakura nods.]

My favorite fruit are apples but where I'm from they are yellow and more round. Here they are red and shaped differently. I think it depends where you go. They call these strawberries here but I think I like springberries more.

It's a prettier name.

[She smiles passing over a few to him.]
