WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start.

[Richard loves a good party. It's a great way to spend time with friends that isn't, well, terrible, and he's enjoying seeing so many people here, even if it is a well-to-do sort of party, like the ones his brother would often facilitate. Still, everyone seemed to be having a good time and he wasn't about to argue with that.

When he sees her by the refreshments table, he smiles as he approaches.]

Hey, Sakura. You look lovely this evening.

[Sakura turns and feels herself smile at the sight of Richard.]

Oh! Richard, I'm glad you made it.

[She holds up her plate.]

Have you tried this yet?

[Richard looks at the plate she offers, smiling.]

I haven't. May I?

Of course.

[She wouldn't have offered it otherwise.]

[What he took from her plate was a very tasty looking piece of carrot cake, which he happened to like very much.

He ate half of it in one bite, it being a small piece in the first place, and smiled after swallowing.]

[Sakura’s smile widens as she looks up at Richard. A small giggle escapes her lips and she carefully picked up a napkin from the buffet handing it over to Richard.]

You have some icing on your lip.

[She’s glad he likes it, not that she’s made these particular cakes.]

You should try the strawberries too.

[Sakura really likes strawberries.]

[He ducks his head bashfully and wipes his lip with the napkin she provided before looking over to the strawberries, smiling.]

Those are the springberries I was hoping to find! [He reaches for one, ignoring the chocolate.] I very much enjoy springberries....what did you call them? Straw-berries?

[Sakura nods.]

My favorite fruit are apples but where I'm from they are yellow and more round. Here they are red and shaped differently. I think it depends where you go. They call these strawberries here but I think I like springberries more.

It's a prettier name.

[She smiles passing over a few to him.]

They are one of my favorites too.

[Richard takes the offered straw-berries and eats one, looking pleased. That is a very good springberry.]

I love apples. In Hartland, where I'm from, they grow red also, and large and sweet.

[You're not getting rid of him, Sakura. You're talking about food.]

Have you ever had a gooseberry?

[Sakura shakes her head.]

I haven't but I'd love to try one of the apples from Hartland.

[Apples are her all time favorite fruit.]

What's a gooseberry?

It's been a long time since I've tasted a Hartland apple, myself.

[And while there's a note of sadness in his voice, he doesn't let it linger.]

A gooseberry is...sort of like a grape, but bigger and much sweeter. The meat is tougher, too, so they make good pies. [He smiles. He likes gooseberry pie.]

That sounds really good.

[Her smile widens.]

I usually make cakes but if I find any I can try and make you a pie.

[He smiles broadly.]

I can show you how to make gooseberry pie. I've been told mine's pretty good.

[Sakura's eyes light up.]

Really? I've love that.

[He smiles, nodding.]

Of course. I love cooking.
