Has anyone ever given up a memory of someone special and have them turn up later on? I found that happened to me recently and now I feel awful about it.
I feel like I hurt them so much by not being able to recognize them, yet can remember everything we did together. Because of this I don't know what to do. So I was wondering if anyone ever had such a thing happen how do you handle it?
Can things still be the same or will it forever be different?

Okay, so here is the cash register. Can you tell me how you open it?
[Action]
[ Because that's what Jii-chan did, after all. Of course, it was after ringing up a sale, but Yugi didn't ask that. ]
[Action]
[He knows he didn't add why they would need to, the working of the till was the top one to do after all.]
[Action]
The one that says 'cash.'
[Action]
[Just to be sure he walked out from behind the counter for the moment to pick up something before placing it on the counter.]
Alright, now actually try using it.
[Action]
It's a slow process and it takes Atem a few minutes, his eyes narrowing in concentration as he does it. He's seen it done hundreds of times, when he had nothing else to do other then hang out with Yugi and Jii-chan around the shop
sure he was a spirit then, but still. He can handle modern technology, really, even though other then the Duel Disks and the random other instances, he never really interacted with it much on his own.But he was still a proud Pharaoh and he was determined to do this. ]
[Action]
Well at least I'll be able to leave you alone here if I would ever need to.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[ But Atem is pleased that Yugi trusts him enough with with the shop to do that. ]
[Action]
[At least it's a step up from once in a blue moon.]
Because I know I can trust you to help out... If you want to of course. You don't have to.
[Action]
[ He grins at the other boy. ]
Of course. Besides, I need to earn my keep, don't I? [ That sounds like the phrase he's supposed to use. ] And return the favor that you gave me when you solved the puzzle.
[Action]
[He shook his head slightly.]
You know you don't need to return the favor you know.
[Action]
[ His expression sobers. ]
You've been through a lot since you released me, Aibou. At least let me do this.
[Action]
I will, I mean after all... I guess you need to do something. Oh! Unless you want to see the other cities, we could do that at some point.
[Action]
[ He does, because for as long as he can remember, everything had been about stopping the games and finding his memories and now they've done all that and he's still here, so... yes. He does need something to do. ]
[Action]
[Because he isn't sure if Atem knows what the cities are.]
[Action]
[ Because Yugi would be right. Atem was more concerned about finding his Aibou and what the heck just happened why am I alive all of a sudden to really worry about reading the brochures or anything like that. ]
[Action]
[That seemed easy enough to start with. Magic was a thing and well the Hands of Decay was a thing also, so it was best to do it first and ust get it out of the way.]
[Action]
If that's what you think is best.
[Action]
[He just smiled, pausing for a moment.]
I'm wondering if I should close up shop for today.
[Action]
[ Atem ponders that for a moment. ]
Is today one of your busier days?
[Action]
[He shakes his head slightly.]
It's one of the quieter ones.
[Action]
[ Oh why is he getting the feeling that he should have actually paid more attention when he got here. ]
