[When the video starts Jaune just looks tired. Tired and aggravated, and it's apparent in his voice.]

I can't believe I have to say this, but since there's nothing stopping people who have committed murder here from running for City Guardian, apparently I do. You shouldn't vote for actual murderers like Reiner Braun and Roman Torchwick unless you like the idea of trusting an entire city to someone who either admits they murdered someone and does a bad job of even showing any regret or someone who's questionably claiming they're redeemed after...a few weeks? Even if he does claim he's trying to make up for his mistakes, you don't just suddenly lose all of your bad habits like criminal acts in a short amount of time and try to take on that kind of position without an ulterior motive.

This whole thing is stupid. It's stupid. I'm done talking about it. Just...if you want to know more about the crimes they committed while they were here, I can answer your questions. I doubt I'll convince other murderers unless they want the position for themselves.

I still don't get how he thinks he can be guardian for a place he's not allowed in. He probably wouldn't accept it if I asked. Fighting face to face isn't exactly something he seems interested in.

Because he's willing to go in if he's allowed. There was someone who tried to say they'd run for Nova City just because they didn't want me to go unchallenged and then flippantly tossed in their name for Everglade too, but they refused to actually enter the city so the CPU took the Everglade nomination. My concern is exactly how he's planning to get to Attleton without passing through Genessia City. Guardian Haller was very clear that he'd be treated as a criminal the second he stepped out of NC. [ Though it would certainly complicate things politically, but maybe that was what this was all about. Giving David the middle finger. He did seem to hold a grudge against him. ]

I don't know, he's fought RWBY more than once and at least one of those times he chased Sun and Blake out of a White Fang meeting in one of my family's stolen Knights.

[ Well. A shipment from Schnee Company to Atlas's military but hey, Schnees in both. ]

If he were smart he'd offer to do it as a publicity stunt to prove he's willing to face those with grievances with honor in a controlled setting now instead of continuing his snide, sneaky, unsavory criminal ways in order to help put the past behind him.

[ Did she 100% just say he's not smart for not fighting Jaune? Maybe. Is it true? Probably not but it isn't as if Weiss likes him either and she's insulting toward her allies. Insulting toward people who hates and has to put up with anyway isn't illegal. ]

Why would anyone choose Everglade over Nova City? [The technology might have intimidated some people, but it shouldn't have been that frightening.] He can't be serious about this if that's the case. That would just be stupid. Unless... [Dramatic gasp.] Can Roman teleport?!

But, I mean if you're stealing stuff, you don't want to go after people and make things harder for yourself unless you have to. It's one thing to seek out your enemies because you might get caught, and another to do it as a hobby.

If he were smart, he wouldn't be running for Guardian and drawing more attention to himself.

No but I think if he won, David wouldn't have any choice but to cooperate. I can't imagine refusing to allow an elected official to do his job would go over well if he managed to win.

Has Torchwick ever had a problem drawing attention to himself? That's practically his MO.

People would understand. It's not David's fault his city is in the middle of everything.

Either way, honestly? I'd.. avoid starting any kind of smear campaign. They tend to backfire.

[He's not being snarky, he's asking honestly. His experience in politics is less than in combat, which is saying a lot compared to most people who want to become huntresses or huntsmen. He doesn't get all of the subtle games, and he doesn't really want to. But he doesn't want to screw this up, either.]

Truth or not, it depends on how he plays it off.

[ Weiss is more than aware of this. Her own election was dependent on a lot of that- with Sun going for Satsuki's throat and causing a big fuss, Weiss is fairly certain that the election hadn't buried itself until she tried to 'defend' herself by slinging mud back at Sun, then whoever tried that dumb gossip rag sealed the deal. Weiss may be honestly glad she doesn't have to go through that again, but the more Torchwick's name pops up the closer he is to getting what he wants so long as he doesn't mess it up himself. ]

Plays it off? He can't just play it off. Can he?

[This wasn't just doing something stupid that hurt someone. He couldn't comprehend how anyone would be okay with that. Roman had a way with words, as much as Jaune hated to admit it, but even he couldn't twist this around and make his actions seem justified. That's what he thought before, but now he's starting to doubt himself.]

...Yeah probably. No one would want a City Guardian as annoying as him.

No one should hear him talk that much. He's really dramatic.

You get this really unsettling expression that makes me wonder if you have some other plan you can't talk about when we play the game. It's like... [He tries to mimic the expression he remembers, but he just looks like he spilled ice cream and isn't very happy about it.]
