[The gates are open and the air is filled with the sound of music. Whether you're a reveler, a vendor or anything in between-- come and enjoy the festival!

[That stirred him awake.]

"Eh? The ride is over already?"

[He yawns and stretched out.]

"What a relaxing ride. Thank you, Miss! Um...if you want this boat, I'll head out now."

[She blinks again and tilts her head to the side inquisitively for a moment.]

"Isn't it a ride meant for two? Why were you sleeping in one of the carts?"

"Well, yes! It's a ride meant for two. But I rode alone because I was curious. It was a nice ride, that I began to daydream and then off I go, I dozed off. I was tired, I guess, heheheh."

[Yeah let him craaaawl out of the boat now.]

"Here, take the boat. It's free, miss."

[She hesitated at the offer.]

"Thank you, but I don't know if I want to ride through the 'tunnel of love,' with or without company."

[She doesn't know what mystic powers it might have.]

Actually, on the second thought. Little Miss you look far too young for this ride! And the Father felt a sense of disapproval at himself. "You're right, you know the couple before me? All they do is snog and talk. It was so obnoxious~!"

Abel smiled, "You know, I could recommend better rides. Like the one with the spinning coffee cups? Those are much better!"

"Snog? What does that mean?"

[Is that slang? Why can't people speak the God-Queen's common?]

"Spinning coffee cups? They don't spin too fast, do they?"

[Totally does not want to answer that question, so he brushes it off with a smile.]

"Yes, those spinning coffee cups! Totally safe! I hope you're not squeamish to feeling vertigo! Follow me, I'll show you where they are."

[And the silly priest jumped out of the boat, hoping the girl would follow him.]

[Why was her question not answered? Either way, she does follow, but she won't give up that easy. The curious princess will always be curious.]

"If I follow, will you tell me what snog means?"

[He doesn't think it's important! But dangit, what a curious child!]

"It what couples do when they like each other and trust each other. In other words, a kiss. And well, a lot of couples do that in the dark tunnels of this ride."

[Of course, that's part of the reason why the priest hopped on the boat in the first place. Silly pervert.]

"Oh..."

[She blushed slightly. A brief imagination of herself with someone she really cared about. It quickly passed, she's not as optimistic as she used to be.]

"...Um, my name is Anastasia. What's yours?"

[Looks like she's good with the answer, thank goodness. Abel hates explaining things.]

"Hm? Oh! I am Abel Nightroad. I'm a traveling priest, who used to work for the Vatican."

[And he leads her to the coffee cup spinning rides.]

"See? Here we are!"

[Anastasia watched the ride already in motion. It looks fun, but she's worried about how fast some of the cups were spinning.

She turned to Abel with a question.]

"Sir Nightroad... What is the Vatican?"

[Will it ever end? Probably not.]

[He's fine with the questions, actually. Just not on the subject of romance.]

"You never heard of it? That's okay. The Vatican is an organization of the Roman Catholic Church in Rome, Italy."

"What is the Roman Catholic Church? And where is Rome-Italy?"

[It should be apparent that she is from a whole different world.]

[And the priest is really slow on the uptake. Whoops, forgive him. He just woke up.]

"Oh you're from a different world, weren't you? I came from a world called Earth."

"Yes I do. I come from a world called Nevus. I think I know some people from Earth."

[She looked over at the cup ride. It should be ending soon.]

"Nevus is it? Are you here for long? You must be a long away from home. But I suppose so is everyone."

[Oooh, the line is cleared up now and the bouncy priest climbs up the stairs to grab a seat. There's room for one more person!]

[Anastasia followed and took a seat across from Abel, closing her parasol as she does. Good thing she's small -- doesn't take up as much room.]

"I've been here for a little over a year now. Far away not just in distance, but proper environment for me."

"A year? That's a long time."

[Oh dear, Abel thought about it. Would he stay for that long too? He has unfinished business back home. Still, he is stuck here, and there's nothing he could do about it.

Either way, the machines of the cups stirred to life, and the cups start moving slowly at first, and then they start to spin around, and around. So much spinning!]

"Goodness, the world is spinning!"

[Before she can answer, the cups began to spin. Once it got to full speed, she was hanging on for dear life and didn't look at all to be enjoying herself.]

"Too fast! Too fast!"

[Thankfully, the ride didn't last too long. Just two minutes, and the ride is over. The tea cups slow down until it comes to a full stop. The priest released the door and then stumbled to sit down on the bench for the spinning inside of his head to past.]

"Urgh~ Sorry about that. Thought it would be fine."

[Anastasia followed, but stumbled with each step. The world was spinning far too much to figure out which way she was going.

When she finally found her way off, she tripped over her own feet and fell forward with a gasp, hitting the ground with a light thud.]

[Shocked, Abel rushed forward to her side.]

Are you okay? Oh, I'm so sorry!

[Abel picked her up and placed on the bench for her to sit.]

[Anastasia would feel cold as Abel carried her, a natural thing for her. Once she was set on a bench, she closed her eyes so she wouldn't have to look at the world spinning. Of course, this made her wobble.]

"The ferris wheel was better..."

It would be, but wouldn't that be too high? Some people are nervous of heights.

[Plus the cars tend to rock back and forth when the wheel turns.]
