[And Smoker started it with the kissing booth, even if it was to try to embarrass Ace, but whatever, revenge is the Whitebeard specialty and Ace was no exception to that and--]

[And waits for Ace to either fall asleep on him or climb down, or whichever.]

Just how many of those arm bands did you buy?

[does neither and instead just hangs out on Smoker's back, staring at the Tunnel of Love] That place. Why? God, you're lame.

[he pushes his hand through Smoker's hair backwards] Unless you're interested in something you're a little too old for. [nips his ear]

[and buy arm bands? whatever do you mean. Question dodged!]

[Something about a death from above... and then his mind is kind of blank.]

[takes Smoker's head and points it in the direction] The Tunnel of Love, stupid. Can you read?

[Instantly ducks under the ropes to get out of line.]

Sorry, I wasn't thinking -- I thought it was for something else.

[And suddenly he needs a coffee. Or alcohol. Or both.]

What's wrong, Taisa? You're acting weird again. [checks for a fever] Are you getting sick?

What? No. Quit it.

I'm not acting weird.

[But maybe Ace thinks he's concussed again...]

[Guh.]

[How is he supposed to explain this?]

[He just rubs the back of his neck in embarrassment, all red-eared and blushing again.]

What kind of ride did you say you wanted to go on, again?

[leans one arm on Smoker's shoulder and rubs the back of his neck for him]

Something interesting. [massage massage] But I don't want to, you know, give you a heart attack or anything.

[Grunts, closing his eyes at the massage for a bit until--]

Oi.

I enjoy rollercoasters just plenty I'll have you know. [Annoyed.]

[He feels like he should tug Ace off to explain WHAT IT IS THAT IS DISTRACTING HIM SO MUCH! But that might be a problem he can never resolve if Ace realizes how much he could take advantage of it.]

And I'm going to take up motocross racing on a doctor's suggestion.

[Well whatever, it's not like he can make it stop being true if he hides it, and if Portgas exploits it? Then Smoker would just have to get stronger.]

[He tugs Ace forward to stand in front of him and fixes him with a serious expression, dropping his voice low so that only Ace could hear him unless someone else used observation haki to eavesdrop.]

I just happen to have a small addiction issue and it happens to pretty much be to you.

It distracts me.

[Lightly bonks on the head.] Get it?

Well if you're going to be this weird maybe I should leave you alone then. [but he doesn't move from his perch. Except he does stop massaging]

Just pretend I'm someone else and feel better.

[justicereigns]

I don't want to.

I'm past the point of giving it up.

[orangeoutlaw]

Then pick a ride and not an old farty one unless you want me to pick one. [gets off him for the moment though, the ride bracelets clicking]

So pick one. [Rolls his eyes. Eyes the bracelets again.] You know you only need one of those for the whole day, right?

You did get those honestly.... right? [Portgas he will fuck you into submission and make you work off those bracelets >:|]

[turns to look at him and stops. From the front it's a lot harder. He remembers...things. He looks away]

What really? Only one day?

[he looks at the bracelets and shrugs] Well never mind. They're pretty cool huh?

[he looks pointedly away from Smoker and looks for something cool and exciting to do]

We could do the coffee cups. I still want to see if I can fly.

[justicereigns]

Fly? Don't break it Portgas. But yeah, I wanted to go on them again with someone who likes it as fast as possible.

[Scrunches his cheek.] And we should see if we can find any kids who want to go as fast as possible too. [ALTHOUGH SMOKER IS GENUINELY WORRIED THAT IF HE AND PORTGAS TRY TOGETHER THEY WILL BREAK IT...]

[Pokes Ace's cheek.] So why did you swipe so many if you thought they lasted even longer?

[orangeoutlaw]

[Smoker didn't care if he swiped them? Weird.]

I dunno they looked cool.

[doesn't want to walk ahead of him though and waits for him to go ahead]

Want me to rope some kids?

[Weird Smoker was weird but whatever.

Ace is caught for a minute by his gloved hands, and looks away again wishing he didn't want to take them off with his teeth]

No, just if any in line want to go fastest.

Portgas, at least pay for them or donate them to orphans to use, don't just use them for accessories.

[But he takes Ace's hand in his own, trying to figure out the cost of them all.]

[Ace, takes his hand away from Smoker's and puts some space between them, putting his own hands in his pockets. What the hell was all that about? Why hold hands? Ahh...]

Yeah sure if I see any I'll give 'em one. [because he can just swipe more]

[The line for the coffee cups was pretty long so Ace drifted ahead and cut several teenagers off, ignoring their protests]

[Nods to the teens.]

Fine, old man I'll wait back here with the old people. Shoot me if I fall asleep.
