[Jaune starts the video, shoulders tense. Behind him, there is a nondescript door and window.] Hi. Jaune Arc again. I'm just going to get to the point. I've been here a while, over a year now, and I know a lot of people who have helped Genessia. I've been thinking a lot lately about how I can do the same. More than the other cities, I consider Nova City my home. But it's not perfect, and like all the other cities, some people benefit more than others. And a lot of people are just...overlooked.

I don't regret fighting, but I don't think everyone should have to. And everyone deserves an alternative to cope in ways that end up destroying them. So I've taken my background in dancing and made a dancing studio.

[He pans the camera up to show the building behind him. It's two stories, modern looking, but the most noteworthy feature is the looming gyarados shaped sign with sweeping words below it stating: Neptune's School for Dance. He moves the camera back to his face.]

So yeah Neptune's School for Dance is a new business and dancing studio where I'm hoping we'll get to focus on all kinds of dancing. I'm open to ideas because I want it to be a place where students feel like their input is valuable and stuff. Anyone is welcome to join, it's pay what you can...what else? Oh, right, our adult classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Seeing as I'm the only instructor at this time, and a Guardian Deputy, if an emergency happens obviously I'll have to focus on that. Which is why I'm hiring a second instructor and a bookkeeper. Once we grow more I might hire more instructors. [Some of the awkwardness seems to fade as he starts talking more animatedly, gesturing around.] But yeah, we'll be doing at least a few performances in the year, and some anti-violence stuff, as well as-- As well as rehabilitation. First class is free just to see if you're interested, and I guess if you have any questions you can ask them here. [He rubs the back of his neck, a bit unsure, and ends the video.]

[He hasn't actually been to her new home in person, but now that they're starting to mend their friendship and he has some free time, it seems like a good chance to. Equipping his pokeballs and shooting her a quick text, he heads over there and knocks on her door.]

[ It's a good thing Weiss had been planning on taking the earlier parts of the day off considering what was going to be going down that night. They needed to prepare and for Weiss, part of that was clearing her head. At least, it was lately. Quick and clear thinking was something that had become increasingly difficult the more times she'd found herself facing traumas of all kinds, and part of what she was putting herself through was trying to clear herself of those things before work each day.

Of course, her phone often interrupted this attempt at whatever meditation she was attempting that day- be it piano practice or a dip in the jacuzzi- considering she was on-call for work as much as she was on planned duties. Her eyes had been closed as she took a deep breath while practicing her flexibility with stretches, one eye opening to peak at the text from her yoga pose. If Jaune was coming over, no more yoga. By the time he got there, her mat was up and she was changed into a fresh set of clothing. She'd already started a hot pot of coffee by the time he'd arrived.

She's expecting Jaune, but she still answers the door herself. She's getting better, but she's not crazy enough to just leave the door unlocked and tell anyone to come in. ]

Hey. [His eyes seem to warm up when he sees Weiss there and willing to talk to him. It's obvious he's happy to see her, but he's more subdued, like he's being careful. He offers her a small smile and takes in his surroundings.] I guess we know which of us has the best taste in picking a place to live. [He doesn't think he'll ever fully become accustomed to the luxury.]

[ She doesn't move out of the doorway right away. ]

House rule number one: shoes come off at the door. The carpet doesn't get dirty unless it's an emergency and I don't care that we have a maid service. You may come in once your shoes come off.

That's okay. I'm used to it. [Supposedly. He tries balancing on his foot and nearly falls once taking off his first shoe, but once he's done he looks at her hopefully.] You have a maid service.

Whitley doesn't know how to function on his own and unlike me, his sister had money to afford housing, groceries, and bills so he has expendable income to spend on unnecessary services that protect him from every having to learn the difference between laundry detergent and softener.

[ It's the nicest way to say it, tbh. Once he's got his shoes off she let's him actually into the house. ]

Rule number two is no going upstairs. The second floor is all bedrooms and you are not invited.

Your brother is weird.

[He doesn't feel like being nice. Stepping in, he glances around and hugs his arm.]

I didn't ask.

I ruined all of my dresses the first time I tried to do my team a favor and wash Blake and my clothes together. The first time I vacuumed I didn't realize the hose came out, so I spent the day moving the furniture in and out of each room so I could get the entire carpet. There's a learning curve when you've never had to do chores before.

[ She's going to defend Whitley on that front at least. ]

I'm well aware. I'm going through the rules. Rule three: No Pokemon fighting indoors. Pokemon are allowed to be out as long as they are clean and well-trained, but if they're going to fight they do it outside. Same with people. Rule four: Food stays in the kitchen and dining areas. The almond dish is just for show.

[She's going to go through all of them unless Jaune says something. ]

I didn't see a vacuum until I got to Beacon. Your brother is still weird.

[It feels impersonal. It's kind of unsettling. Jaune remains quiet, pretending to be interested in the house. A lot of what Weiss states sounds like common sense, but maybe she thinks he lacks it. Maybe she's right.]

You'd never.. seen one? [ She squints. What kind of sloven household.. ]

In summary: Just don't make a mess and I'm blaming you if we break something because since Whitley's taking over Schnee Company soon, he's going to be the one who has the deed to the house so if we have a food fight, he's probably not going to want me here.

You don't get many vacuums outside the kingdom. [Hey he never said his house wasn't clean.]

You could've just said that and it would have been a lot faster. Why can't you both have the deed?

[You had her at dancing. Krista for once isn't in her exercise gear or pajamas and is instead simply wearing a red shirt with long sleeves and black trousers. Stylish and simple, it's the way she goes when not having to make appearances.]

Are there certain kind of dances you can't do that you more than likely would want a teacher to know?

[Oh hey he recognizes her from the network. He offers her a small smile.]

I can do ballroom dances and ballet, but I don't specialize in it, and most of the traditional dances I know probably aren't very popular outside of where I learned them. So if you know those, that's great, but it's not a requirement.

I guess traditional in the sense of them being from your world, right? If that is the case the only way to make it popular is to show the world.

But I know ballet, tap dancing, cha cha, jive and most ballroom styles. My mother made sure I knew all of them just in case they were needed in a movie or something. Still practice them sometimes when I get the time so not to get rusty.

Nah, it's okay. I've always been more into street dance anyway.

Street dancing is pretty cool also, I must admit.

[Sadly, not something that her mother would have allowed.]

I am, actually. Been one since I was veeeery young.

[ Jefferson had always sensed that this was the kind of thing Jaune would excel in. It had been hard watching the kid go through so many struggles, but the choices he needed to make in order to get where he was now were ones that couldn't be made for him, even if there always was that instinct in Jefferson to want to be able to help him along. But he'd finally begun forging a positive path on his own, and this particular step in that path was a big one. It was also one that filled him with more than just a little bit of pride. ]

Have I told you that I think you're amazing lately? Sometimes I'm not sure once a day is enough.

[Jaune shifts a little, averting his gaze at first. He looks as if he's debating whether to be happy for the praise or fall to his kneejerk reaction of disagreeing with it. He doesn't understand Jefferson sometimes, and he doesn't think he deserves those kind of words, but it still makes his chest warm.

Fake it till you make it, he guesses.]

People don't just become amazing outta nowhere. I must've learned it from you.

[ The slight apprehension was enough to pick up on, but it was understandable and something he was rather used to by now. Maybe some success in this endeavor would help Jaune gain a bit more confidence. ]

Oh, please. You didn't learn everything from me. I know I'm great and all but I'm not that great. You have to give your brother and other friends some credit too. [ It really was a cute sentiment, all kidding aside. ] Besides, I think more of it came from you than you might think.

Hey, I was giving Dave and everyone else credit! I just didn't say it aloud. So I guess I wasn't. Do you wear hats to hide your inflated head? [He grins, some of his normal playfulness returning.]

Also I'd like to note that currently we don't have a senior discount, but maybe if you tell your friends enough people will be interested in that.

You were but you weren't? Hmmm. Either one of those things isn't true or you just created a paradox. That could be a problem. [ He put his chin in his hand, acting as if he was really thinking about the issue, but in truth he was just glad that they could joke around. That usually served as a pretty good gauge as to how well Jaune and Dave were holding up at any given time. He quirked an eyebrow at the "senior" comment. ] Oh my. You love your rickety old man enough to consider such a thing? I'll count myself blessed.

I created a paradox when I did something successfully. Just kidding. We're probably all going to die now. [Shrugs, grinning.] And then you say outdated things like blessed. I do love you. [Everything is so fragile and fleeting, that he's become blunter. He doesn't care how corny he sounds.]

Because you successfully did and didn't do something at the same time, yes. It's an accomplishment, really. At least we'll come back if we die to this important universe bending discovery. [ A returned shrug and a slight eye roll. ] Blessed is outdated how exactly? A lot of people -- [ Well gosh. That took him from teasing to smiling pretty quick. ] I know, kid. I love you too. I'm really proud.

So would lessons to open to anyone of any age?

[Yukiko was trying to do things outside of work and this seemed like fun.]

Lessons for kids are offered Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4pm to 7pm. Adult lessons are offered Tuesday and Thursday nights and there are open practices Saturday 8am to noon for kids and 2pm to 6pm for adults. It's pay what you can, or what you think you should. But I'd probably recommend limiting it at 50 redbills being the highest.
