Action | Bay and Exterior
[Disorientation was not unknown to Fenris. He’d experienced it several times in his past, but never quite in such a way. Uncertain what the pamphlet suggested aside from images of the device included in the box, he grumbled and shoved the pamphlet, the red papers included, along with the phone, into a pouch at his waist and strode through the water without hesitation. He’d faced demons and worse before, and while he was alone, he certainly wasn’t going to allow the weakness of fear show, and the spiked armor and large sword lashed to his back went a long way to help the image along.
When he approached the stand on which Weiss’ Transmission played, he glared at it but did not balk. Magic, then. Of course. He’d never heard of this Genessia, but at least the necklace was familiar. So, their kidnappers have pretty chains, then. It didn’t change what they were and he grimaced at the thought. This was all a grand deception, to be sure, even for a former slave as valuable as himself, so he had no reason to doubt the image witch’s integrity.
Still, as much as it pained him to do so, he needed more information than her repeating message supplied. Surely he wasn’t alone in this place, for this witch would not have seen fit to spend the energy to place this message here for only his benefit, and so he took up a spot leaning against the side of the map booth and would address anyone who happened past.]
You, there. I...require assistance, if you've the mind.
[He’ll not force anyone, but manners aren’t exactly his forte.]

[Action]
...Yes?
[Action]
You are most mind.
[He inclines his head.]
This city, Genessia, are you a native?
[Action]
No...I was drawn into this world over three years ago.
[She reaches up to her pendant.]
You can tell by these pendants. Everyone who was brought here from other worlds has one of these. The natives of this world don't. These pendants allow us to pass from one city to the next, and enter the subarchways, so I would strongly suggest hanging on to yours.
[Action]
Yes, I suppose it's prudent to keep hold of our decadent chains. How else will they track us?
[This entire setup stinks to Fenris. It's too contrived, too convenient.]
And what is it they ask of you, these masters who've leashed us?

Her thoughts immediately turned to whoever stated they needed assistance. As an Exorcist, it was simply impossible to say any manner of "no."]
Oh, certainly! I'll do my best of be of assistance. What can I do for you?
Action;
Answer some questions. [He moves from his position against the wall, approaching. His movements are smooth, and while he's short of stature and lithe, the large sword on his back doesn't seem to slow him down. He has strange markings that start at his chin and lead beneath his spiked armor. They're allow visible on his bare arms and feet. The fact that he's not wearing shoes also doesn't seem to phase him.]
Are you a native here?
Re: Action;
Her own small stature is made for by her two-pronged spear harnessed on her back. While she doesn't expect this encounter to go sour, she'll at least have some method of self-defence.]
A native...? I'm sorry, but I can't say that I am. I'm from the Holy Midgand Empire.

What a lucky break that she'd just been on her way back from Attleton, and her route back to the house came this way. What another lucky break that Jethro wasn't with her, today.
The Inquisitor paused when Fenris spoke up, and quirked a scarred eyebrow at him.
"Let me guess... you're new."

Judging from her appearance, as well as how well-equipped she was, she would make a formidable adversary as well, even if he didn't recognize the symbols on her armor. He stood from his spot on the wall, inclining his head in a nod.
"What gave me away?"
no subject
Look, the Inquisitor had a habit of pausing for people who wanted help with something, but that didn't mean she had to be slick about it. That had been Josephine's job; decidedly not Alleyana's.

Though she, herself would probably look just as unusual. Dressed in a full maid's uniform, she did kind of stand out.
At the same time she had an air about her that would no doubt be recognized. She was dangerous. Confident. There was only a single moment to absorb this before she let out a soft sigh, turned, and walked over to him.
"Hello. Are you lost?"
[Action]
"Aren't we all?" He moved a spiked gauntleted hand toward the dais on which Weiss' message replayed. "She would have us believe it to be so."
no subject
"You mean Weiss?" It wasn't really a question. "She is a bit of a fool to think that a welcoming message will ease the fears of newcomers. She is as trapped as any of us."
Sakuya seemed to relax a hair. Fenris wasn't as angry as most of the newly awakened people. And she didn't immediately hate him... which was a good start.
"My name is Sakuya Izayoi, by the by. The Devil's Maid." That was quite the title. She gave him a formal nod. Not quite a bow.

This...Weiss mentions addresses. I don't know where to find them.

Now, even after a few days, she's learned to just blame Genessia.

That depends what you are looking for.
[She steps closer, tucking a lose strand of hair behind her ear. She'd been on her way to the library, same as every day, and had a basket of books collected beneath the crook of her arm. Even so, her evening is free and she's in no rush to disregard someone who might be assistance.]

[This cat-eared pedestrian answers with a faint smile. Nao had hoped to venture here to educate himself further regarding the plight of the citizens here. While he does remember speaking and listening to the hologram intently, he honestly forgotten a few things. That's why he ventured by the bay.]
Do you have any specific questions or in need of anything?
[While Nao certainly is indeed male, the Shinobi is quite aware of whis appearance. It doesn't help that the effeminate man purchased this lovely black and pink kimono ensemble with the long billowing sleeves. He should've saved the money given to him for housing but it seems Nao lucked out on that thanks to Ace.]

Directions. Several addresses are mentioned by this...message and I don't know their reckoning on the map.
[Because he can't read.]
no subject
I take that the script here is foreign to you. Very well, let's see-
[He pauses briefly as he reads over the message.]
For those who brandishes these pendants like my own, you will start within Genessia Proper, this city. There's four other cities surrounding Genessia. To the North is Nova City, to the East is Attleton, to the South is Fayren, and to the West is Everglade.
[He looks at the long-eared man again with some humor within his smile.]
Have I lost you?
(no subject)
[Action]
Lord slay me for a sinner if I don't! Certainly, whoever you are. Only, assist me with your name, first.
[Action]
I will, if you offer the same courtesy.
[A jester, Fenris supposes. Oh, joy.]
Re: [Action]
[Bringing joy is what jesters are all about.]
Ah, sorry, of course.
[He clears his throat, offering his hand for a shake. It would feel callous and a little rough; the hands of a fencer.]
"I'm Ted; pleasure to make your acquaintance."
