[Open Log | Duration of the Halloween even]
Who: Scott Summers and YOU
Where: All across the cities
When: From the start of the Halloween Event to end (see starters)
What: Incubus Scott getting used to his new form as well and the Halloween madness going on
Warnings: Loose interpretation of what an incubus does or rather should be doing, in dreams because Scott's trying to use his powers for good and he fails at the whole Incubus thing.
Extra info 1: Write a starter for any day/night or, If you want, feel free to leave me a location and day/time and I’ll write it for our characters.
Extra info 2: Here's a visual of how Scott looks like.
[First Day - Morning - Nova City]
For his morning jog, Scott runs through a different city every week. It helps him exercise and memorize their layouts. As luck would have it, this week he had chosen Nova City but he doesn’t make it very far after crossing the archway. A tingling sensation hits him and then a wave of pain in his back and head makes Scott fall to his knees.
The world is out of focus for some long, agonizing seconds. When the burning sensation running over his body calms down, the always present pressure behind his eyes caused by his beams is gone. His t-shirt has been ripped at the back, Scott can see part of it on the ground, and when he glances over his shoulder he can see a pair of dark, leather wings and a tail he most definitely didn’t have before. ]
What the…? [He's trying really hard not to freak out, and failing spectacularly.]
[Rest of the Days –All times of the day and all cities]
[Scott’s got over the shock of having his body transformed but he’s still trying to find a way to get himself back to normal. He can be found in the Library looking for information, helping to keep at bay the monsters in Genessia even if he no longer has his powers, looking for potions or magic spells that could fix things in Everglade…Or just generally going about his day as well as he can.]
[All nights - People's dreams]
The first time it happens, it's completely by accident. Scott doesn't seem to be able to rest well at night, the wings make it impossible to lie on his back and he's tired from the hunger. Eating doesn't make him feel any better or sated since the transformation. He doesn't register that his mind started to drift until he finds himself in a field with his dog Horatio running around and birds and chasing rabbits. Eventually, it dawns on Scott that he’s not the one dreaming any of it, he's just in the dream and aware of it. Horatio comes running to him, tail wagging and jumping to lick his face, and it makes Scott laugh when the dog’s energy and enthusiasm somehow make the feeling of hunger go away.
Things get easier after that. Scott realizes that he's got some control of the dreams he visits. Not the people in them or their actions but rather the dreamscape. If he concentrates, he can change nightmares, chase dark shadows and fears away. He's not sure how, exactly, but figures that if an incubus needs positive feedback from others then it helps if they are comfortable rather than stressed by their own subconscious. It's a positive perk and he's going to try to make good use of it. Maybe some dream walking would distract him from the hunger again.

Dreams
She chased after them with growing desperation. But no matter how much she called out to them, warning them of the dangers that lay ahead, their slow plodding pace still greatly outdistanced hers, and their shapes grew smaller as they shrank into the distance.
No, they couldn't go! They couldn't leave her behind, she could fight with them. She could protect them!
And then Cassian loomed above her, forty feet high and folding his arms.
"NOPE!" he decreed, blocking her path.
"Please!" she begged, trying to find a way past him, but he moved his foot every time she tried.
"NOPE!" he decreed again, now wearing a green and white striped hat.
"Andor-san you have to let me go by!"
"NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE NOPE," Cassian echoed as he began to multiply in front of her, filling the road.
Orihime slumped to her knees, frustrated. "But I can...I can..."

[It has been a long time since Scott has seen a pale moon. Because of his powers, he was stuck wearing glasses with ruby tinted lenses if he didn't want to hurt people by accident and that caused the moon to always look red to him. But he had no time to enjoy the view, the constant yelling from all those multiplying Cassians and Orihime's distress wasn't something he enjoyed.]
Now, now...enough of that.
[Scott walked over them, extending his wings as he did so. The Guardians quickly morphed into human-sized sunflowers that, thankfully, did not talk at all. If Orihime looked up, she would find herself surrounded by the bright yellow flowers. Scott was floating in the air a few meters over her, waving a hand and changing the desert into a beach. He paused, fingers tapping on his chin for a few seconds before grinning and concentrating in the sky. He knows it doesn't fit the theme, aurora borealis rarely happen over beaches but this is a dream and it doesn't need to make sense.
There. Much better.
no subject
[Once the dancing colors of the Northern Lights spread across the sky, her voice audibly catches in her throat. Never mind that it doesn't fit the theme, it's one of the prettiest things she's ever seen in her life.]
Wow...!
[It makes her recall where Scott grew up. Of course he would have seen Aurora Borealis in Alaska, but to a young Japanese girl, the sight is completely new to her wide eyes. She takes a step forward, leaving the road behind along with all of the sunflowers.]
You changed all of it. That's so cool...!
[Her voice is still hushed in awe, and she's already forgetting about the army of Cassians and her disappearing friends.]

Nova
Which is why he ends up going on a patrol in the area of Nova he's set up up residence in. Because it gives him that.
Of course, while patroling, he doesn't expect to end up literally changing, becoming a sort of robot with canine features, making him slightly taller, leaner, and giving him larger saw blades on top of his already-present armor. A were-robot, basically.
Once his body is done re-arranging himself, he catches himself before he can stumble to the ground, catching himself with one of his now longer arms. He growls, looking about frantically... and catches sight of Scott having experienced changes too.]
H-Hey... you over there... that's not what you're supposed to look like either, right?
no subject
His mind is still trying to process what was happening and it took him a few seconds to answer the other man...robot?'s question.]
I...no, no. I don't understand what happened. I just walked into the city.

Pity the poor dreamers who have this guy hanging around.]
Well, look at you, bein' all heroic out here in someone's subconscious. Good on ya, givin' us a good reputation.
Dreams;
His wings twitch behind him and his long tail lowers and curls. It only takes him a second to notice that the man share those features too, only with bigger horns and wings.]

Dream
Shinjiro's having one of those dreams.
Shinjiro's having one of those dreams in Tartarus, on top of that.
It started off fairly confused - he'd been shot, but he struggled against this being a nightmare, so now he was shot and not dead, despite the fatal wound. Part of him knew this was a dream. He'd tried to attack Takaya, but somehow his would-be-murderer faded away, and the alley in Port Island Station became Tartarus.
Now, he wandered around, looking for ... Ken, or Akihiko, or Mitsuru, or Minato. He wasn't quite sure. The sense of urgency was definitely there, however. The danger felt real. And, the problem was, he knew he was dreaming. That's why he could walk around, despite being shot. That's how he tried to attack Takaya.
But, despite knowing it was a dream - he couldn't seem to find the exit. This floor of Tartarus just went on and on, despite his careful efforts to map it. He knew it was a dream, and tried to play with the dream-logic, and it only sucked him in deeper.
He wanted to take control of the dream, give it a happy ending, but he only grew more and more lost, bleeding against his hand, knowing somehow - in the dream-logic - that he must be running out of time. ]
Can't I least imagine up a door, or somethin?
no subject
[Those are some of the hardest ones to deal with, Scott is familiar with them too. The sensation of dread is now new but the strange environment makes it all worse. The green lights are sickening and Shinjiro's uneasiness almost felt like his own, sinking into his chest, reaching his very core.
He spots the other boy, injured and in pain and it's not something Scott will allow to continue. He isn't sure if Shinjiro has noticed him yet. He's behind his friend, floating in mid-air and lowering himself to the ground without a sound or moving his wings. A square of floor lights up when Scott's bare feet touch the ground. The incubus sinks to one knee and touches the ground with the tip of his gloved fingers, wings extended towards the sky behind him.
And then things start to c h a n g e.
Scott wants it to happen quickly, Shinjiro's been suffering long enough, and he goes for efficiently rather than finesse. The ground under his fingers shatters like a broken mirror, the walls cracking in and spider web effect, and the world around them collapses. Instead of mirror fragments, things turn to ash, sweep away by the sudden wind until both teens are left in a different kind of green landscape. There are tall trees around them, endless mountains surrounding a valley and a clear sky. Scott sitting on a point, feet brushing the water.]

Hello Scott, I was a little too busy the other day to respond to your video message, but I couldn't help seeing... [ He flutters a wing. ]
How are you holding up?

I'm managing. [Do you know what was his visor really good for? To hide worried looks behind it. Not so easy to do when everyone want see your eyes now.] Still a little confused about how to deal with this new body.

Dreeeeams
Like there are comfy couches and on one is a blue haired, and blue skinned, young lady who is around the same age as Scott? She's lounging on said couch and see will totally notice him.]
Hey, you're a cutie. Come here. [She pat pats the couch beside her.]
Re: Dreeeeams
When the girl gets his attention, his wings perk up and he blushes at the compliment but walk over her with a shy smile.]
Thank you, miss. [He hesitates for a second before taking a seat, mindful not to hit anything with his wings or tail.] I don't think we talked before, I'm Scott.

DREAMING cw: blood
A broken building with a hollow taken from it revealed a small section of sunflowers. And there was the dreamer, sitting on the grass near an out of place river full of fish.
It was contrasted by a rather grisly image of Koishi and her sister feasting on the corpse of... something. Possibly someone. At this point it was too mangled to tell.
Several bites later, Koishi licked her claws, standing up and leaping forward into the river, the world itself melting into a far more cohesive forest. Unfamiliar, though displaced bits of Fayren and Genessia were still mixed in. Hands behind her back and humming a merry tune, she walked through the shifting woods, letting her human guise melt away as the trees became hands and shifted back once more, the land rolling and stretching to accommodate the shifting flora.
Well, at least it seemed like it was a good dream? Maybe? It was really hard to tell due to how feverish it was. At least Koishi seemed to be enjoying it.
She seemed to notice Scott after a moment of this, glancing his way, her eyes displaying none of the nerve damage that her more monstrous form displayed in the waking world.
"Hello there. I've never had a visitor before."
no subject
Scott watched the dream without interfering, it seemed safer, but he didn't leave either because it was interesting and it had piqued his curiosity. He was floating a meter or so above the ground, wary to touch anything in case it changed again when Koishi talked directly to him.
"Hello. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. Are you okay?"

But with the horns on her head she was looking down at the floor, unable to notice the nearby person she bumped into.]
Ah, I'm sorry.
First Day - Nova
It's fine. [Oh, a girl. And his shirt is still missing, that's fantastic. Scott gives her and embarrassed look and then notices the horns.] Sorry if this sounds weird but did you change all of sudden too?

He'll note the appearance of Scott in the back of his head while he responds to an urgent message, but won't register it as an abnormality unless he does or says something.
Welcome to the Enterprise, Scott, your personal dream come true.]
Who am I to disagree
He feels more than ever than he's intruding but at the same time he never ever dreamed -no joke intended- that he would be on the bridge of all places. So far he seems to be going unnoticed so he's going to quiet squee to himself and marvel at everything around him, maybe peek here and there to get a closer look at the controls...]

Somewhere in the puppy pile Colette looks up, hearing the newcomer's every movements thanks to her angelic hearing. She has no idea who he is, but that never stopped her from making a friend before and it sure as heck ain't going to stop her now. She waves at him with a cheery smile while she nuzzles one of the little floofs that's made its way onto her lap.]
Awww yes. This is so cute
He never talked to the girl before but she seems nice and welcoming, not even a little scared about his bat wings and strange tail. Scott finds himself smiling back and taking a step forward to meet her Some of the puppies yip at him to get his attention or move around his feet.]
Hello! That's a lot of nice friends you've got there. I'm Scott, nice to meet you.

Dreams - I hope late is okay.
She would find a safe place to sit and close her eyes. Her brain would dream and the chip would keep working. She was always very aware of her dreams, half awake and half asleep, stuck somewhere in between. While she knew that she was dreaming, she wasn't always in control of what happened in the dream.
The room that Scott would find himself in was dark and small. There was a bed and a desk where advance computer hardware, chemistry and software were stacked. Enis sat in the corner of the room. This was a scene from a long time ago but she appeared as she did in Genessia. The other difference was that she looked thinner and her clothing was something that a patient might wear.
Her head turned towards Scott, vibrant blue eyes locking with his. She see's him. Her lips form his name but no sound comes out. It takes Enis a moment before she's able to speak.
"Should I be worried that I'm dreaming about you? I've never dreamed about those in Genessia." Her dreams where usually the same few instances in her life. She's used to them now though it doesn't stop them from hurting.
Yup! :D it's never late
And yet he doesn't come close, not immediately, wondering if she's disgusted by his new demonic looks or by interrupting her.
"You aren't dreaming me, I'm...visiting." He gives Enis a polite smile, somewhat embarrassed one. "Do you mind if I stay for a bit?"
