The Red Queen ♚ Anastasia
21 March 2016 @ 12:52 am
[ A rather cleanly dressed woman (no crown of course- she's not the queen here, she's smart enough to hide her jewels before they attract the wrong sort of attention. no sense in alerting people as to what happens when they steal from her before she has anything truly worth stealing) seems to be holding the device at a slight angle. It's clear she's never used one of these devices before but is regarding it with both wonder and a sense of familiarity. It reminded her of one of the Queen of Heart's favored methods of communication, though a far less clear picture. Mirrors tended to be much easier to have discussions through than this little thing. She seems to have a very posh accent. ]

The power to travel to other worlds in such scale with so little effort.. Quite the magic trick, darlings.

[ She's impressed. But even they couldn't leave Wonderland without the Rabbit or the Hatter once the looking glass routes had been sealed off. To end up in a new place such as this.. well, it was rather impressive. ]

There are a good many worlds to travel but never have I heard of one so mismatched as this. This world is full of magics I've never heard of, strange words and customs. [ And she thought Wonderland was odd. ] Will one of you be a dear at fill me in on what the metal carriages roaming the streets so quickly are? I prefer a more personal touch than what a company can provide for introductions and I would very much enjoy not having to walk across town without need.

[ The Bay is still in the backdrop for her, but she still seems confident despite being, you know, horribly lost in both tech period and place. ]

Adachi Tohru
21 March 2016 @ 04:02 am
Who: Adachi, the victims & the rescuers
Where: Different Cities, TV World Subarchway in Attleton
When: 22nd - 29th
What: A log for the player plot.
Warnings: It may get a little violent, has blood and other stuff. Be careful. Also Shadow issues and other things included.

LINKS
Finding Luke | Kidnappings | Dungeon Rescue | Catching Adachi | OOC Team Forming.

How this works:

1) There will be a section for all kidnapped persons so we can play out the actual kidnapping progress if so desired (it can also be hand waved). I would love it if you could come up with a starter tag about what they're doing/where they are, but I can also work on the starter if necessary.

There will be two kidnappings per day on 23rd, 25th & 27th. Please choose a date to your liking and be aware of what others have chosen.

2) Every kidnapped person will form their own floor on the dungeon. The floor will reflect their heart's context and look something that reflects the part that they keep hidden from even themselves. At the end of the floor there is a room that where the kidnapped character is with a possible boss fight against the kidnapped person' shadow.

NOTE: I will confirm later if characters will be able to have their Personas, but one will appear for them, as a sign of facing their other selves. The other self has to be faced in order for this to happen, however.

3) Each dungeon floor will be limited to only four rescuers, because Adachi has his powers and can order the rules of the dungeons as he pleases.

4) Characters with special abilities are more than likely to get attacked by shadows. Characters without might have it safer.

Shadows.

5) Kidnapped character's mun gets to decide if the rescue team is successful or if they would want the attempt to fail. This would mean either a) death and bizarre body discovery in Attleton or b) near death and bizarre discovery in Attleton.

The wounds will, unlike in canon, be visible, as seen from Luke's discovery. The TV World here and in canon work slightly different ways, after all.

6) The time given to attempt a rescue of each character is three days.

In summary:

Until 25th; Yukiko can be found from the dungeon floors (she lasts a little longer because of Persona)
From 23rd to 25th; first two victims (Adela, Blaze) will have their dungeon floors
From 25th to 27th; next two victims (Conan, Quinn) will have their dungeon floors
From 27th to 29th; last two victims (Airy, Anna) will have their dungeon floors.

Last date for victims to get kidnapped: 27th
Last date for all the victims to be rescued: 29th

Adachi can be caught starting from 27th, after his last kidnapping. There will be a thread for that, too.

Video

[The video feed opens up to a slender, feminine face set in a scowl, clear blue eyes staring right at the camera. Setting the device further away reveals that she's a slender girl, short and dressed in a white long-sleeved shirt and long blue skirt, with a ribbon on her hair and a ribbon tied around her neck.]

To the fair lady who has informed me about the nature of this world, I thank you for utilizing such fantastic technology to inform me and others who have been brought here.

Judging by the information and that someone had to have set up the time to make such a technological marvel, I can assume that our kidnappers have been so impudent as to refuse to release us or have any kind of ransom at all. To these kidnappers who have this audacity, I demand an explanation for this ignoble behavior.

Else you will be subject to the full might of the one who is of the class of Saber.

[At this moment there's a flash of light that emanates from her as she's suddenly clad in armor, a full breastplate, metal gauntlets, and an armored skirt as she holds something invisible in her hands, wind swirling around in front of her.]

Fai D. Flourite
21 March 2016 @ 10:39 am
As someone whose not ever been in a relationship before, I have a question that I'm hoping people can answer.

This... might actually seem stupid, but if one spends more time at a partners house than their own, does that actually mean anything? I mean, I simply use the reason that it's convenient because it's closer to where I work, but sometimes I wonder if I'm using that as an excuse.

[Action: Around Everglade and Genessia]

[Fai had been walking around, either doing his job as Guardian in Everglade and dealing with some kind of trouble, or he was around Genessia and had been walking toward his place to check on Sakura and the others, after all it had been a while since he actually spent a night there, going back was still a little werid.]

Glory | Glorificus
21 March 2016 @ 11:49 am
[Whenever Glory could feel that annoyance that was her sanity slowly leaving her each and every moment she found herself here, she would always head to Nova City and pick out a nice juicy brain or two. It helped and it wasn't easily noticeable right off the bat that something was causing the increase of insane people, but she figured when that did happen she would enjoy them being unable to figure it out.

How dumb people could be really, but it was hilarious in a way as she wondered the streets of Nova City.

Why was she there? She had her reasons? Research for the most part and keeping an eye on people she deemed important. If she wanted to find a way home, the best way was to find those who seem to know more than they were letting on.

She could be found either wondering around, her eyes looking around at people, or she was sitting in a cafe looking rather bored. Having to do things herself was annoying. She needed to get minions when she could.

Dante
21 March 2016 @ 12:18 pm
[The video starts with Dante adjusting the camera in what appears to be a rundown shop. A drum set, a jukebox, and two chairs are visible in frame, but that's all for a moment. At least until Dante returns, carrying a purple guitar, strung with lightning. He flops into one chair that creaks under him before he addresses the camera.]

Just a little heads up, but Devil May Cry is open for business. It's at the end of the Slum Street gate in Attleton. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've got a long overdue date with Nevan here.

[He grins as he pokes a button on the jukebox and propping his feet up on the opposing chair. When nothing happens for a while, a foot swings out and kicks the jukebox into action as a song starts to play. Dante meanwhile effortlessly keeps up with the guitar part, and apparently the bass all at once. As the song progresses there's even a bit of a light show about him that one might expect to see on a stage at a big concert with an occasional bat sneaking into frame. But, as the song winds down, Dante stands, walks over, and turns the feed off.]

Konata Izumi
21 March 2016 @ 04:37 pm
[ This is a remarkably cool phone, much better than the one she's got, and she was pretty excited about it, too. Of course, now she'll have to change all the desktop pictures and ringtones, but customization is its own reward. She can't find a hook for a phone charm, though, which was an important thing that would need reconciling.

So yeah, have a high school girl that definitely knows how phones work, but is gonna press her face too close to the camera anyway as she records for broadcast. ]

Hello, hello!

This is Konata Izumi. Oh wait, there's a little anonymous thing right here, I should have done that first, maybe I could have spooked some people. Oh well.

[ She starts flicking through some of the other settings on the video, cycling through a few different filters as she tries them out. ]

Anyway, I just woke up in the egg! Hazzah! Unfortunately rather than an adorable wet yellow baby bird you have received a slothful otaku. Condolence cards have been mailed in advance, fu fu fu.

The lady in the hologram was very informative of the parts that I listened to. I was rather distracted because her outfit wasn't really thematically appropriate for a hologram, you need to have the proper costume to fit with the technology level, and a lacy white dress doesn't go with sci-fi, it needs more of a Major Kusinagi vibe but instead it's more like Princess Tutu. Not that crossover genres can't be good, but they're really hard to pull off, and you're probably gonna lose some of your initial audience by going against expectations like that, ya know what I'm saying?

Also I feel kind of cheated because after being interdimensionally transported, my welcoming committee is a hologram that's like 'okay find a place to live and work', like shouldn't there be an intimidating handler who is cynical about my presence but will eventually warm up to me enough to explain how their previous partner died and how I remind them of them, along with a big-breasted personal assistant in a form-fitting suit that never talks but is an expert in four kinds of martial arts, and they're here to explain my pivotal role in a millennium-long conflict with a rival insect empire? It just seems very narratively messy to use this kind of mechanism for such a mundane purpose, that would be like giving everyone super powers like in Inou-Battle but then leaving out the entire plot of the fairy war and just continuing to have them go to school like nothing changed.

It would subvert expectations but you'd get a lot of people who continue to expect that plot thread to culminate in everything, and while there's gonna be some hardcore fans that figure there's gonna be a sequel series that addresses it, in the meantime your main audience is gonna get impatient and just pick up the latest copy of Azumanga Daioh instead.

Nathan Drummond
[When the audio feed initializes, and Nathan actually speaks, he sounds controlled, but only barely.]

Hey. So. Does anybody know Airy Miller? She left the library earlier today, I assume to go look for a job, but it's been hours and now she's not answering when I call. She's, uh, about 5'5", slim but not skinny, long brown hair, cute nose, adorable smile. Really bubbly?

Private // Toby Allaway

[Because he doesn't know your number, man.]

I thought you said you were going to keep an eye on her.

Jaune Arc
21 March 2016 @ 09:43 pm

Who: Satsuki and Jaune [Closed]
Where: Teanie Teas
When: Backdated a few days after this conversation.
What: Meeting eachother over tea since they've been paired in Weiss's plan to stop Cinder.
Warnings: None atm.

[Jaune could understand why Satsuki would want to meet him. When you knew nothing about the person you were working with, their strengths and weaknesses, you had a lot more opportunities to screw up. He wasn't going to risk that when it involved Cinder, so he arrived at the tea shop as soon as he could. Her chosen location confused him a little, but he entered with all the awkwardness of someone who didn't know what they were doing, other than he was meeting with Satsuki. He spotted her, at least he hoped so, and walked over and sat down.]

Hi. Are you Satsuki?
