Eleanor Hume
29 January 2018 @ 01:29 am
[Things are barely starting to calm down and already something got Eleanor's mind all up in a tizzy.

It was all thanks to a stupid newspaper sitting out on display at a convenient store. After seeing this headline, she can be found (and heard) pacing around Genessia city carrying on a conversation.

...but with whom? Clearly nobody in particular, except for herself. The poor people who see this spectacle have absolutely no idea what to make of this.]

An amore festival... As in Valentine's Day and all that? I... Suppose it might be worth checking out. And bringing a date is encouraged as well... But I even know any men? ... There's Prompto... But I haven't seen him around. Gladiolus? Same... Radec is a mystery, but... I don't actually know him.

Then there's Theodore...
...I don't understand him though.

By the Empyreans... Do I really not know anyone? And I've been here how long now? Am I just doomed to live out my life in lonely isolation?

[A pause, then a amused chuckle.]

Yeah right... I'm an Exorcist, as long as I have people to help and a ideal world to fight for, I can be perfectly content never marrying...

[A longer pause now.]

But can I really be happy? I mean, this is a new world. There are no daemons to fight. No duty to the Empire. Do I have to be "Eleanor the Praetor Exorcist?" Isn't this my chance to set aside my spear and find love?

Should I try asking someone? Or should I wait and let a gentleman ask me first...?

Ayla

OPEN Action - The Bay - Morning

[This is probably not the first time someone's had something of a...loud and violent reaction to their awakening, though at least nobody is getting hurt as long as they stay out of the way, and even then all Ayla does is barrel though them while trying to make her escape. The fur clothed blonde clutches the box she awoke with as she scrambles out the door on three of all fours but comes to a sliding halt in front of the hologram.

She watches it curiously, crawling around it as she listens to the message, occasionally leaning in to sniff at the speaking figure. She listens to the explanation for a full rotation and a half before her attention drifts to the magazine rack, flipping through a few of the adverts before tossing them aside. Ultimately she does take one of the maps, tucking it into her clothes before attempting to scamper off again.

OPEN Action - Genessia City - Garden Park - Afternoon

[By this point some rumors might have begun to circulate about the wild woman running around, climbing all over things and roughing up and/or running away from people trying to apprehend her. At the least, any violence has only been enough to aid her escape and nothing more. By afternoon the talk turns to an oddly dressed blonde woman running around in the park.

Case in point, at this moment Ayla is perched on the branch of a tree, looking down at the lone duck paddling around the pond in defiance of the winter weather. She licks her lips as she crouches, butt raised in the air with the furs she wears adding to the impression of a wild cat on the hunt. She's been here for hours now and it's time for lunch.

Toua Genjō Sanzō Hoshi-sama the 31st 【玄奘三蔵】
What: Flames of the Righteous The Reburn - Damien
Who: Genjo Sanzo and Leviathan

Didn't matter where Sanzo was, it seemed; people would dump their shit on him regardless. Sometimes without even meaning to, as in this case when he overheard people discussing their elderly relatives getting burned to death by some escaped lunatic.

Already inclined to find this fucker on pure principle, finding out along the way that there was a bounty on his head was just a bonus. It wasn't like the gold card would work here, and cigarettes and beer weren't cheap.

But above all, it provided a distraction from his situation. A violent distraction; the best kind!

Cue a few days of Sanzo snooping around, asking questions, and in general tracking this dirt-bag down. The asshole was holed up in a building at the edge of town, probably waiting for a few less people to be looking for him before striking again.

Wasn't going to happen.

Sanzo pulled his gun before easing the door open and carefully making his way inside.

His mistake, as it turned out, was in bothering to try to take the guy alive. Coming up behind him while the fucker was eating a sandwich of all things, Sanzo made his presence known by way of a cold gun barrel touching the back of the guy's head.

The priest had barely opened his mouth to demand to know if he was who he was after, when blue flames errupted all around him and he jerked back reflexively. The hidden, lingering damage from a recent severe burning reacted to the heat and briefly made his vision white-out in pain, too sudden and too surprising for him to simply willpower past in the moment.

And of course, by the time Sanzo could respond in any useful way, the guy was across the room lobbing more blue fire his way. Cursing, the priest threw himself around a corner, back to the wall and gun at the ready for any opening in the onslaught.

Tsukasa Kadoya

Video/Action

Kaitou.

I opened up an archway in Attleton. I got the house back, come take a look to see if I missed anything.

Don't worry, nothing of value was missed. So far.

[He sacrificed World of Gaim memories and the Sea Cucumber joke.]

Action

Now that it was somewhat warming up, Tsukasa is out and about, taking photographs of people for a moderate amount. His work is... undeniably avant garde. Maybe a picture here and there will be of use, but it's really strange how the people in the photographs seem to leap off the page.

His home is open too. If you enter thinking it was X, it is in fact a photo studio.

Throughout Genessia City - Action

(Teleportation was certainly something with which Khadgar was familiar, but never one he hadn't either initiated or at least been aware of, and never one in which he ended up in a metal coffin with currency, a key to a room, and a gift of jewelry. He was pleased, at least, as he stepped out of the coffin in the shallow pool with a muttering of "curious", to see that the greatstaff, Atiesh, a simple wooden staff with a raven carved atop it, had come with him, and he stooped, the box under one arm, and retrieved the weapon. In the hands of a nonmage, it would be nothing, of course, but in his hands, well, he'd see what this place had in store. Things back home were culminating, of course, and he had no way of knowing if this was some sort of demonic trick or not, but it required investigation regardless.

He wasn't startled by the hologram of Weiss, though he looked a little put off by her explanation as he pocketed the maps she indicated in the large bag at his hip along with the contents of the box he'd arrived with. He'd have a look at this "Commonspace" eventually, but first, well, the best way to get a look at a new place was from the sky, after all. He slipped the necklace he's been provided around his neck, having quite a bit of experience with such magical keys, and then willed a bit of swirling silver energy into the staff. The mists swirled and gathered around him and, in his place, was an overly-large black raven that flew off to get a better view of the surroundings.

He would land in the park, near the fountain, or on a bench to rest, or on a windowsill, or a fire escape, marveling at the strangeness of the place.

OOC: You are free to run into the raven pretty much anywhere. He's a big raven. He sort of stands out, and he can actually talk in that form, so there's that. Also, he's totally willing to change back. He's hella interested in this place.

Video

(When the feed initializes, it's clear he's been playing with the device before he actually starts to use it. There are cameras of a fashion in Azeroth, of course, but nothing like this! At least, though, the network is afforded a man who appears to be in his late 50s, with silver hair and a pleasantly amicable expression.)

Greetings...Genessia? I think that's how I should address the lot of you. I've performed one on one transference before, but never anything like this! It's remarkable!

(He takes a breath, and for a moment has an expression one typically gets when they hear someone else's voice, the voice of reason, scolding them.)

But that really isn't what's important at the moment, now is it? As I was alone in the Bay when I arrived, I can only assume all of you have been here long than I have. That would insist you know something more about this place than I do. Before I go rambling off questions at you, though, I have a few of my own. Do any of you recognize me? My name is Khadgar, and I am an Archmage of the Kirin Tor of the city of Dalaran, an independent city-state on the world of Azeroth. Do any of those names ring any bells? I'm just trying to find a starting point, and then we can proceed.

(He gives the camera a smile and inclines his head.)

Thank you for your time.

Qubine
29 January 2018 @ 09:39 pm
[Qubine starts his feed with a weary sigh.]

All right...now that Fayren is more or less back to normal, I want to bring up something that's been on my mind.

A few weeks earlier, I took care of a bounty in Fayren, namely a group calling themselves the Fingers of Decay. According to the notes left with the bodies of the mages they've tortured and killed, they wish to continue the work of the Hands of Decay. For those of you who are unaware, they are a group of cultists who believe that all magic and its practitioners are evil, and wish to eradicate them all from Fayren. I would just like to say, if there are any "Fingers" remaining out there, I would strongly urge them to think.

And if, after careful consideration, they still decide it's in their best interests to continue fulfilling the Hands of Decay's ideals, I would strongly urge them to think.

Again.

[The last word is spoken with a strong hiss, meaning the Fingers or the Hands of Decay had better not continue their work if they know what's good for them.]

Perfect Cell
29 January 2018 @ 10:58 pm
Action - Morning - The Bay

[Waking up was unceremonious for Perfect Cell. As it normally would be for a being with no need for sleep. Glaring up at the cavernous ceiling with all those white lights brought back some memories. None of them good. Nothing but screaming, burning and falling. With a defeated sigh, he sat up within his cocoon, giving it a once over; the box sliding down to fall open in his lap. An audible chuckle left him and echoed throughout the cave.]

How quaint.. Reminds me of my youth. Strange, I didn't regenerate in such a way after the explosion..

[Perhaps the spilled contents, more so the 'welcome pamphlet' between his knees, would answer some questions that buzzed about his dome. It took Cell no time what so ever to read every tiny detail of what the paper had to offer. All of which made his lip curl disgust. Room and board, money, a job? Preposterous! He had no need for such things as a normal being would! Taking only the real necessities, the android freed himself of the cocoon, levitated across the water and out the closest exit. What he thought was freedom was only more annoyance being greeted by the hologram.]

There's a lot to go over, and many people stop listening just about now, so try to-

Yes, yes.. I get it!

[Cell snarled, swinging an arm out to all too easily backhand the magazine rack and hologram aside with a wave of energy. A small way of venting frustration. Pity for the giant insect, it was going to be all down hill from here because of it. Sour as ever, he stood and leered out across the landscape.]

Hm.. Where to st-

[Too late. The defensive gas from the hologram unknowingly to the perfect android did its job. Cell slumped down onto his knees then just as undignified, crashed forward into the dirt. Out like a light as once before.]

((OOC: Hope I did this right to let the guardians come in and teach the bug man to be nice! Please by all means tell me to take it down and edit it if need be!))
