[Action at the Bay]
[Elise stared at the top of her pod for a moment, uncharacteristically still. She reached out a hand to touch the top, and it pulled away. That was really weird, but at least she wasn't trapped. She sat up, and looked down as her starter pack fell into her lap. She picked up the pamphlet first and read all of 2 sentences before putting it aside, and promising herself to read it later (she probably wouldn't). After putting on her pendant and grabbing up her new stuff and the heal staff that was in the pod with her, she got out of the pod and walked towards land. She jumped when the hologram appeared. Was it some kind of magic? Leo would probably be into this! She should show him!]

[But wait. The hologram said that she had been kidnapped, right? Her siblings might not be around. She looked back at the Bay, hoping he was right behind her. She sighed as the hologram ended, and took another look at the city in front of her. It was so different from Nohr. And it was huge! She huffed.]

This isn't fair! We just found Corrin again! We were going to be all together again!

[She pouted and looked down at the stuff she had been carrying. The two sentences she had read before said that the device could let you talk to other people here? Maybe there would be someone familiar]

[The camera showed a poofed up shoulder sleeve at a weird angle]-llo? Hello? [The video had been adjusted so it showed the speaker's face looking like she's struggling to stay composed.]

There! I think it's working now?

Xander? Camilla? Leo? Corrin? Arthur? Effie?

[She hesitated before adding.]

And to anyone else listening, I'm Elise. I'm not really sure what to do here?

[ The Awoken hunter has already woken up, gathered her belongings and checked to see if her Ghost is with her. Out of anything she had to lose, she's fine with losing her guns, her knife if completely necessary, but not her Ghost. Her Ghost is completely vital to her continued existence, after all.

Not gonna lie, but waking up here just after they had managed to overthrow the Cabal Empire and retake their home? Yeah, that didn't sit well with her. But, maybe this world needed her help. And it wasn't like she could just turn a blind eye to a world in need of assistance.

She strolls through the streets of Genessia with her Ghost in tow, itself curiously scanning the buildings and the terrain around them. So far, Naxia didn't see anything remotely resembling this place being taken over by the Cabal, banners belonging to the different Fallen houses around, nor did she see the usual signs of Vex tech, or even things infected with the Hive's presence, or the dark puddles that were usually present with Taken activity. In fact, this place was so peaceful that it actually threw her off. She's so used to having to fight things left and right, so to not have to raise her gun or her knife to defend herself is...unsettling. ]

Are you picking up anything around here?

[ Her attention diverts to her Ghost, who shakes around in the air. That makes Naxia frown behind her helmet and she sighs, slinging her gun behind her. If there's no reason to have her weapon out, then there's no reason to carry it. ]

...Huh. Maybe I'm just... not used to this.

Mm, you're used to the City and the Tower, after all.

Yeah.

[ What she wants to understand is how she's able to feel the Light's blessing coursing through her veins like she would back home. In the cities she's explored so far, she hasn't seen the familiar sphere that normally hangs above the Last City. Although, don't get her wrong, she's very grateful to have her abilities to aid others in a moment's notice. She just finds it a little strange that she still has her abilities, but she's not about to look a gift horse in the mouth, especially after what Ghaul had done to them just a few months ago. ]

[ Those around can see a fairly average sized female walking around with a couple of guns strapped to her, namely an auto rifle slung around her back, a hand cannon strapped to her thigh and a sniper rifle joining her auto rifle. One thing is pretty prominent, though, and that's a knife strapped securely in a holster on her side. Come run into one of the Guardians from the Last City from Earth? ]

[ On the video feed, there's a fair-skinned Awoken with the most striking bright blue eyes imaginable. Her skin has fairly noticeable wisps of light dancing along her skin, along with hints of pink markings near her eyes and forehead. Occasionally, her Ghost flies into the camera's view, as if inspecting the device she's using. It looks so...archaic, compared to her. ]

Why can't you use me to communicate with them like you normally do?

I...don't know. Can you link with the network yet?

No. For some reason, I'm unable to.

...Huh. Normally, you can. Wonder what kind of firewall's blocking you. Anyway--

Uh, hey there. My name's Naxia, and I'm used to being called 'Guardian' too sometimes, but I know that's gonna cause some confusion from what Weiss' hologram said since you guys have Guardians too in each city or somethin' like that. Anyway, I listened to what she said and read what the pamphlet said, so I don't have too many questions left beyond a couple.

First off, has anyone seen three people who go by the names of Commander Zavala, Ikora Rey or Cayde-6? Zavala has skin like I do, but he's bald, has striking red armor and looks like he can take a punch or three. He's, hm, how can I explain him...? He's serious, mission focused, but good-hearted and someone I trust. In fact, I trust everyone I'm about to ask about. He's the Titan Vanguard, people who normally shield us out on the field or there's another class who can fling hammers like nothing.

Ikora is a human with black skin, wears primarily purple robes and has black hair in a buzzcut and is the Warlock Vanguard. She's logical, calm, compassionate, but isn't a pushover by a long shot. What Warlocks are is that they utilize elemental spells in combat, so like... if you've seen electricity crackle from someone's fingertips, void grenades or a solar strike, that's some of their abilities.

And then, last but certainly not least there's Cayde-6. Well, beyond being the best mentor ever, he's an Exo...which are humanoid machines. So like, think robot parts, but much better than simple robot parts. He has a tattered black and red cape, wears primarily leather armor and...well, you'll know him when you see him. He's pretty loud, full of life, that sort of thing. He's my Vanguard, which we're both Hunters. Fancy, huh?

...By the way, if any of you guys see or hear any creatures talk about the Darkness, mind letting me know? Thanks. Just in case there's like, multiple instances of the Darkness existing in this world here, I'm talking about creatures who like to reside in space.

Finally~ I think I got over my creative block and with the hot weather coming up... [He had started off with a smile that had slowly formed into a frown.]

I have a dislike of warm weather. Call it living in mostly cold worlds for most of my life. Even after four years, still not a fan.

[Fai was in the back of Cat's Eye, he appeared to be working on something, adding some condiments to a few dishes, all of which seemed to have some sort of ice cream on it.]

Because of the weather, I managed to create some cold desserts. Mostly ice cream but I'll be adding more as I figure them out.

[He soon set out a few plates before putting his hands behind his back, the smile was once again plastered on his face.]

I've created these based on people here within Genessia, at the moment it's mostly previous Guardians or current and potentially deputies in the future. So I will do more as I do, so long as I actually know enough about the person or people I'll be basing it on. So if I know nothing about them, don't expect any dessert based on them.

[He moved one hand from behind his back before signalling toward her first one. Colours of blue, white and light banana yellow sat within the place.]

This is called Weissicle and it's a Blueberry and banana ice cream with white chocolate snow and banana slices.

[He next gestures to the next one that at first sight just looks like a slightly larger chocolate bar.]

This next one isn't that creative yet as I am figuring out what sauces to use and a decent name for it. I am thinking a sauce that's hot enough to melt the outside to reveal what it beneath. But either way we have here is vanilla ice cream with a cherry sauce in the centre coated with a hard dark chocolate shell.

The third of the four here is going to be called the Electric Kiss. Chocolate and popping candy soil with peppermint and chocolate ice cream drizzled in a mint sauce and grated dark chocolate.

[He had gestured toward the brown and green dessert as he spoke and finally his hand gestured toward the final one. It had strawberries and what appeared to be biscuits crumbs.]

Finally, this one is based on a strawberry cheesecake. Strawberry and cream cheese ice cream with biscuit crumbs and strawberries. [He was rather happy with these attempts, to say the least. After all, he had spent hours.]

I do have one more planned, but it just needs some tweaks since alcohol is much harder to turn into ice cream compared to what I have used. [If anyone can guess who that one might be based on he'd be surprised.]

Because of the weather, all of these desserts will be in all of the cafes and will come with 20% off any cold dish someone orders. I figured it was a good idea to help in my way with cooling people down without my Beartic trying to hug you.

[ This video opens with a teenage girl standing on a street corner just passed the hologram and news stand. She looks pretty cheerful for having just woken up here, and she's waving excitedly to the camera. ]

ICE CREAM AND PUPPIES!

[ She swings her phone around to show a table she's magicked into existence that is covered with ice cream cones of varying colors that don't really seem right. Some of the ice cream is black, some of it is blood red or purple, some of it looks like it might be plaid somehow. It's all melting fairly quickly too.

There might also be a large litter of adorable puppies scampering around. Some are wrestling with each other, some are licking ice cream cones, and some are opening their mouths and shooting streams of ice cold water at each other.

Star turns the camera on herself again, grinning as she twirls her wand in her phone-free hand. ]

They're magic water puppies, they'll cool you right off. So come by before all the ice cream me--

[ A stream of water hits her phone and sends it clattering across the asphalt. It might be a few minutes before she gets it dried off so she can respond. ]

[Sickness was not a common occurrence in Genessia.  For whatever reason.]

[Case in point: Hikari made it a whole second after turning the camera on before letting out a small coughing fit.  Her cheeks were flushed, though she didn't appear to be sweating too badly, considering the extremely high temperature of the city.  She'd certainly been in worse condition, which was precisely why she mad an attempt to smile at the camera so as to not worry anyone too much.]

I must apologize, but...it seems I won't be able to make my work appointments for the next few days.

[Not without risking getting yelled at by at least two people in the apartment, alone.]

[The feed opens up to show a young man wearing intricate black armor and holding a purple covered tome with his right arm. His stance is stiff but refined with his free arm behind his back - his device must have been perched up somewhere just outside of the Bay - with an unreadable expression on his face. Despite his posture and expression, he isn't looking too hot... well, hot is exactly how he's looking, but he's doing his best to not let it show.

Gods, why was this place so hot?]

I must say, whoever is responsible for this is quite bold to even think about kidnapping a prince of Nohr. I almost want to say I'm impressed by such audacity.

[But he's certainly not amused. They brought him here at such an important time at home during the war. Whoever did this had a lot of nerve, and if he found the one responsible, he certainly wouldn't be merciful.]

Do not worry. I got the message from the apparition, and I believe I've got this contraption figured out. [It didn't take him very long.] What I want to know is for what purpose are we brought here. I already intend to pour over the information available on this place, so don't waste my time repeating what I've already been told.

[He already imagines that there's going to be numerous refreshers once he gets to reading. After all, he has three different places to pay a good long visit to- the library, the travel agency and the research foundation. He looks about ready to shut the feed off, but he remembers one last thing.]

Niles. Odin. If you're out there, I want you to report to me immediately.

[And the feed cuts.]

[Chiaki was currently setting up a new arcade game. It appeared to be a dancing game and when the title popped up on both of the screens the name Boogie Boogie Evolution 64 appeared. It seemed like there had been a lot of games before this one and Chiaki was currently texting it out as she stepped onto it.

Once she had pressed the button after using her own money she started to look through the songs and soon spotting one she found in particular interesting she pressed the button again. Once the beat started to go she started to move her feet at each of the arrows hit the marker. She was on expert so it was a lot of movement.

As she was going the feed was shaky and in the background, her Pokemon were lingering. Enjoying some ice cubes for the most part. When she hit the last note, getting an almost perfect she paused.]

Okay, so it's working. Which means all the games that we got are in working order and ready to go. [She seemed happy about that as she moved to step off, the device still firmly in her grasp before she looked down happily.]

Level Up! Just got three new games in. A dancing game where you and your Pokemon can as I am sure people once said, shake your groove thing. But remember to get the most out of your steps especially with Pokemon, you best go easy.

The second is a fighting game. Best be on your toes if you want to dodge the devastating Fist of a thousand Dragons.

Lastly, we just have a normal platform. One in which you can go up into the sky, up and fly so high, left towards the clouds, then down to the ground and who knows what you would find at the end. It's an adventure.

[She couldn't help but laugh slightly.]

But that is all the new games. The gym you still need to figure out the passcode to get to, which you need to figure out how to get. Who knows, maybe there was a hint somewhere.

[She soon heard noise in the background as she turned her head slightly.] ah, for any questions please inform me. But for the meantime I should go... One of my Pokefriends slipped on ice and went crashing into a wall. [She was quick to switch off in order to deal with it.]

 [Shi looks exhausted. It's hot out and he is clearly not handling the heat wave well!

... Or intelligently, as he makes the video call from the Genessia Shrine rather than an A/C filled room.]

It's so hot oooout. I'm going to start decomposing at this rate... What should I do?

Yes, simple enough, heat exchanger looped through the Alpine Room in my TARDIS, keeps a few rooms at Torchwood very pleasant for anyone who’s not cut out for this sort of heat. Because that’s what we do.
