Christmas Eve Party!

WHAT: Weiss's Housewarming/Christmas Eve Party

WHERE: Team RWBY's new house
WARNINGS: Mistletoe is hung in one of the corners! Avoid it if you don't wanna get smooched! (But seriously if anyone has anything here that needs a warning please tell me.)



It's Christmas Eve and it's cold outside! Perhaps you should come in, enjoy some refreshments, chat, sing a song at the karaoke station, or open up your Secret Santa gifts? There's plenty of room to wander around and plenty of fun to be had! While furniture doesn't seem to be overly plentiful, there's a coat closet near the entrance and plenty of room for party guests in the family room, kitchen (where the food is!) and breakfast nook, and the outside deck. There are Christmasy pine garlands with signs that say "Guests are asked to remain in the party area! Thank you!" cutting off rooms beyond those and classy decorations adorning the designated party area (plus doilies at the dining table). At the center of the family room is a well-lit Christmas tree.

Naturally, if you have another location that you would like to direct your thread, you're welcome to make a thread of your own-- but if it's in an area that's off limits, unless your character is accompanied by one of Team RWBY (or are going to the restroom- which hopefully there won't be any threads for that) your character will get told to go back to the party if your character is caught! If they get caught more than once, they may be asked to leave. :( We don't want that!

The party evening will round out with Weiss and Blake singing a duet of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for everyone, so please have a Merry Christmas! (And happy all holidays!)

"Yeah. I like naming my cards after his ideas though sometimes. They were good ideas. Just not perfect. But that's understandable because he's just a human. He's never seen the subconscious mind before."

Koishi perked up quite a bit when Ted brought up the animals again. "Noo. The native animals of old hell are terrible beasts that have survived from when hell was functional. Not all of them did but there are a lot of strange worm things as big as four humans that burrow through the ground with entirely too many teeth. But don't worry. Sis drove them all away from the palace a long time ago. She's good at being scary."

"She likes to keep other things as pets though. Animals from the surface. We have bunnies and foxes and dogs and a chubby raccoon. His name is Scribbles and he will steal shiny things and food from your pockets."

"Cards?" He frowned a little at the description of old hell. "My thanks, then, to your increasingly unusual sister for driving them out. The replacements sound much more agreeable, save perhaps the raccoon; mischievous thief! I'll have to watch my things, I suppose."

"Yeah! My spell cards! For the danmaku duels. In my world everyone is super powerful and if they fight they'd just break everything. So we invented danmaku so that we could duel without hurting anyone. It's really really pretty!" Her face suddenly lit up. "There's gonna be a danmaku party on New Years Eve! You should come see! It will be super pretty and a lot of fun!"

"Ah, danmaku! I met a man; an undead spirit of a man, really. He mentioned being your business partner. Well, I certainly can't refuse an invitation twice given, can I? I'll be there. And "old hell", of course, when you have time. Merry Christmas, Koishi, and thank you again for the boots."

"Oh... OH! That's Mister Stripes! He's really nice but he likes pulling lots of pranks. Don't take it personally though. Sometimes people get really frowny and its not good. It's harmless."

Her third eye floated closer, restless as it drifted around. "You're really welcome Mister. You can come to Old Hell anytime. Tell Sis that I invited you, okay? She'll be more friendly and less grumpy if you do that. She's always grumpy with new people."

Given that Ted had just teepee'd his house to break the ice...well, good to know any misbehavior on his part wasn't totally meant.

"I'll be sure to do that. Er, where is it, exactly? I suppose I could just go digging, but that may take a while."

"Mister Stripes gave me lots of little cards to give to people because I forget things. The place we're having it is on them so I can just hand them to people!"

She rummaged in her pocket and fished out a little business card, offering it to him. The front had the location of the party and on the back was an ad for Betelgeuse's danmaku school.

"Its really a lot of fun. I bet you could do it too. It just takes practice. Give it a try while you're there, okay?"

Oh, well that was nice. He pocketed the card.

"Ah, yes. Wouldn't be much of a festival if a man of my intelligence couldn't find it. Still, I meant to refer to your curious underworld. You'll forgive me; I have a hard enough time navigating our much more familiar 'terra firma'. How am I to find this place? Is there a queer oriental rhyme to chant before the jaws of hell unhinge?"

"Ohhhh." The little youkai rocked on her toes. "No. Passwords would be really silly. Also how would that even work?" She giggled. "It's really hard to find though. It's in the old Fayren waterways. You start at one of the entrances and go through three turns in an old room with old equipment. The waterways are a maze filled with all sorts of bad things so if you really wanna visit I should show you where it is."

Another friend made, another perilous journey to meet them. "Interesting. Very well, you have yourself a deal. When things have calmed down a bit, I'll ring you up..." His communicator buzzed. "Speaking of rings! I must take this. Merry Christmas again, 'satori youkai'!"
