Christmas Eve Party!
WHO: Anyone willing to behave themselves for a nice Christmas party!
WHAT: Weiss's Housewarming/Christmas Eve Party
WHEN: Christmas Eve
WHERE: Team RWBY's new house
WARNINGS: Mistletoe is hung in one of the corners! Avoid it if you don't wanna get smooched! (But seriously if anyone has anything here that needs a warning please tell me.)

It's Christmas Eve and it's cold outside! Perhaps you should come in, enjoy some refreshments, chat, sing a song at the karaoke station, or open up your Secret Santa gifts? There's plenty of room to wander around and plenty of fun to be had! While furniture doesn't seem to be overly plentiful, there's a coat closet near the entrance and plenty of room for party guests in the family room, kitchen (where the food is!) and breakfast nook, and the outside deck. There are Christmasy pine garlands with signs that say "Guests are asked to remain in the party area! Thank you!" cutting off rooms beyond those and classy decorations adorning the designated party area (plus doilies at the dining table). At the center of the family room is a well-lit Christmas tree.

Naturally, if you have another location that you would like to direct your thread, you're welcome to make a thread of your own-- but if it's in an area that's off limits, unless your character is accompanied by one of Team RWBY (or are going to the restroom- which hopefully there won't be any threads for that) your character will get told to go back to the party if your character is caught! If they get caught more than once, they may be asked to leave. :( We don't want that!
The party evening will round out with Weiss and Blake singing a duet of "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" for everyone, so please have a Merry Christmas! (And happy all holidays!)

I...really would like your help, Miss Kiryuin.
[The compliments are accepted nervously, but he isn't sure what to say about them--so he presses on.] You have a lot of connections, and know a lot of people...who know lots of things.
If I want to be able to help people get information...

But Satsuki smiles a little- he's just so sincere and while she thinks he'd find himself in over his head on his own, she doesn't want to do the work for him either. Perhaps some gentle guidance will do.
On the other hand, Weiss would probably be a good pick as well. Either way, she wants her hands in the jar first.]
Very well. You are going to need several important resources that I suspect you do not have access to at this time. While the tea shop, from what I have seen, is in fine condition, it is not properly equipped for.. Ah, anti-eavesdropping, should one need such services. I also possess some history records that may be helpful. That is where I believe I can be of some assistance.
But we can get into those details at a later time; I will likely have my hands full until this Everyman nonsense is taken care of.

He's started working on an information pamphlet--similar to the one he got upon arrival, but with some more up-to-date information: including the map he's been working on. It's mostly just snippets of information in his notebook for now, but some day it might really be useful.]
I just want to help people. Help kids find people who would be safe to live with, if they're too little to live alone [
like him]...to know who you can trust and who you can't...who will be able to help you with what sorts of things...[Luke sniffs, but continues to avoid her gaze.] Being able to be a front for...um, less common information sharing--that would be good too. But the sort of machines that will prevent listening in on conversations might look sort of out of place in a tea shop.
[At the comment on Everyman, he falls quiet, nodding slowly.] That makes sense. I'm still working on having the shop all settled...so, I guess there's no real reason to rush.

[The guardian here's the sniffling, and a frown forms. Well, a little more than usual.]
Then let us speak of it more at a later date.
[Beat.]
Triton... Are you still upset with me.

[The response is quick and nervous, the mentor-less apprentice shuffling nervously and winding his fingers into little fists at his side.]
I'm...I wasn't--aren't you upset with me?
[He turns finally to look at her, clearly almost in tears. Luke tries to act older, but the events in Genessia have truly worn him down. It shows.]

[Straight to the point as her eyes meet his. She reaches into her pocket then hands him a white kerchief- As she does this, the light of the moon seems to shine a bit brighter.]
I am extremely proud of you, and I am proud to be able to work with you. If the Professor were here, I am certain he would feel the same.
Luke cries quite a bit in canon actually, he's a huge sap and I love it
He takes the handkerchief, balling it in his fingers, chewing on his lip.]
T...thank you, Miss Kiryuin.
[Yes, he's definitely crying. To think that the Professor would be proud of him, and that she's proud of him--but still so far from home and he's so homesick...
This is probably not the reaction she was expecting. Sorry, Satsuki.]
Oh Luke. T__T
She has to ask herself: What would Koishi do? She wouldn't say the koiball is the best example to follow in a good number of things, but she always seems so.. Positive.
Satsuki glances over her shoulder a moment, to make certain that no one is looking outside. When it seems it's clear, is when she slips a hand out to take Luke's shoulder and pull him into a far-too-gentle embrace to her side. It's a bit awkward; especially considering she doesn't like being touched.]
Sorry, Satsuki
I...I w-want to go h-home, Miss Kiryu-uin.
no subject
Oh.
.... Oh. Satsuki is very uncertain how to respond to this without coming off as some sort of witch. As poor Luke bawls his eyes out, she takes a moment to assess the situation and think. What should she do? What should she say?]
I would like you to stay the night at my house. It.. Is not like London but, Koishi seems to find it an acceptably warm-colored quarters.
[She gives his shoulder a gentle squeeze. She'll need some time to plan out how to get him to secure tighter companionships. Preferably male.]
I will uncover the secret on how to return home. You have my word.

I'm s-sorry. I j-just...
...the prof-fessor would s-say a gentleman sh-shouldn't make a scene.
[Luke scrubs his eyes, shrinking slightly away from her touch.]
I...I'm okay. It...it's...
[No he has nothing, no excuse--he's homesick and the idea of going to his flat alone is not appealing.] ....th-thank you.

[They're outside, after all. Once Luke shrinks away a bit, she takes the hint and holds it behind her back.]
There is no need to apologize; keeping it bottled up would not have done either of us any good. Regardless, it will be our secret.
[She could lecture him on it, but decides against it for now. Satsuki gives a slight smile, very brief, then nods in response to his thanks.]
Mnn. I only intended to give this gift to Weiss then be on my way, so we'll be departing shortly. Gather your things then meet me here in five.
[And don't even think about panicing and running away. She'll find you, Luke.]

When she's back, he glances up at her before looking back at the ground, sniffling.]
T...thank you, Miss Kiryuin. Really, thank you.
no subject
You're welcome. Let us be on our way.
[She doesn't have any advice for him, but at this point maybe at this point he just needs some hot tea and then sleep it off. She most certainly could use both herself. She takes the lead, bringing him to the ride that had brought her here in the first place and then from there it's destination: Nova City.]
