The weather outside is frightful, but the fire is so delightful.
And since we've no place to go, let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

The song is playing in the elevator on the way up to what is normally the meeting hall floor, which has been cleared out so that they could "deck the hall" for the party. It's a Winter Wonderland theme, with white, blue, and silver being the main colors. Which, granted, tends to be a Schnee theme- but it's at least in season this time around. Crystal chandeliers and lights hang from the ceiling, looking like icicles, and there's a frosted tree in the center of the room. Upon closer inspection, it's a croquembouche that's been coated with white chocolate and sprayed with edible glitter, pulled sugar ribbons streaming down the sides of the edible 'tree.'

At each of the tables, there are small gift bags for each of the guests- nothing big, just little samplings of sweets from Cat's Meow Cafes. These are in addition, of course, to the family-style servings at each table of meals. Both chestnut waffles with blackberry-orange syrup and crown roasts were available as main dishes at each of the tables, along with a colorful medley of roasted vegetables and an assortment of different types of freshly baked breads in a basket at each dinner table. Every table also seems to have carefully poached and sliced apples and pears with vanilla or caramel sauce as a dessert. The center of the hall is, of course, cleared out for dancing surrounding a round stage where a live performance from Sonico Super is being performed. Individual orders for drinks (coffee, tea, egg nog for those over 18 only, water, or cider available).

Along the edge of the hall are many gifts lined up with bid tickets and boxes for a silent auction. All proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will, of course, go toward the Genessia Scientific Research Foundation's budget for the next year. Almost strategically, there seems to be a bar located toward the start of the auction traffic manned by After Life staff.

At 9:30pm as the evening winds down, guests will be asked to gather near the windows of the hall to watch the Nova City tree lighting. The view from up above in the tower is amazing, the gigantic tree wholly visible as it lights up on the ground below. The only obstruction of view is the lightly falling snow. If at any point it looked like it would stop snowing, you can bet that Weiss's Castform was up on the roof making sure that didn't happen.

Just as 10pm hits and the party is meant to end, all sides of the hall's glass walls light up with fireworks at once. A beautiful fireworks show finishes off the night.

"Huh?"

[He surprised her, causing her to giggle for a second.]

"Oh, no. I'm not really good at dancing."

Join the club, though my reasons for it are I'm not use to it and when I wanted to try my leg broke, so never got around to it.

[At least he simply said his leg broke without explain how it got broken in the first place.]

Even now I simply like to watch.

"Oh... How did you break your leg? Was it a sports accident? Or fighting monsters?"

[Slaying monsters isn't out of the ordinary to her. She's 15 and she hunts monsters.]

[He looked away for a moment, it felt awkward to talk about and it was. It brought bad memories anyway.]

It's... complicated, but it was neither one of those things. As you can tell now exactly built to do that kind of thing, unless it's a RGP game or something.

[She tilts her head to the side inquisitively for a moment.]

"What's an RPG game?"

Role playing game. It's a genre of game people can play be it table top or console. It's actually quite fun if I have to be honest. Haven't played one in a while though.

[He felt like he needed to play more games now he was feeling much better about himself at least.]

[She didn't really understand any of that, namely consoles, but role-playing she was familiar with and table-tops further helped her put two and two together.]

"Oh, I get it. It's something little kids play. Then I guess there are games like that for older people too, huh?"

Well... not just little kids, teenagers and adults do too.

[He being one of those people if he got much of chance anyway.]

Anyone can play.

[That confirms it. Good to know that there are games that parents can bond with their children over.]

"I'm afraid I wouldn't be any good at role-playing. I'm not very imaginative."

[Ever the humble girl. She spied on baddies from inside of a barrel. Sketches in her free time. And often thinks she might make a good wife. She can be imaginative if she wants to be.]

Really? What makes you think that though?

[He was sure most people could imagine some things, so he always wondered why people might say something like that.]

"What makes me think that...? Well... It's really because I've been keeping myself busy with my guild and hoping my memories will come back to me..."

[Perhaps it was too soon to say she isn't good at roleplaying. She can't remember most of her 15 years of life.]

Your memories? You've forgotten your past or something?

[He is use to people not remembering things since the closest prson to him literally couldn't remember his past for a while.]

"Yeah... I was found by my guild, remembering only my name and how to use a sword. Everything else is a blank..."

[It was a sad thought, but Kanonno has a way to see a bright side to it.]

"...But that means I can enjoy making new memories."

Of course. Though you remind me of someone, minus the fact you seem to understand emotions and some obvious things as well.

[But she did remind him of Terra a tiny bit in that area anyway.]

But yes, making memories is always a great thing to do.

[That stopped Kanonno dead in her tracks. What is she supposed to make of that? Someone who doesn't understand emotions and obvious things? That's really difficult to imagine.]

"Are you friends with this someone?"

Uh, yeah. Though she has been busy so I don't see her as much as I use to.

[Which made him a little sad, but he understood everyone had to work after all.]

"I'm sorry to hear that. It's not fun knowing you can't see your friends as often. Are you, at least, able to write to each other?"

It isn't, but you are right, writing helps at least. But there are always other ways here to be able to keep in contact. I at least knew that even before I came here.

[Mostly because when school finished back home, he had known what it might mean, so finding ways to still keep in contact now and again was always a good idea.]
