Valentine's Auction & Party!

WHERE: The Castle Royale Hotel, Genessia City.
WARNINGS: None.

The event space in the Castle Royale Hotel in Genessia City was decorated for this event. Pink hearts and other decorations were tastefully hung and placed all over the place to help people get into that romantic type of mood. It took quite a while to decorate it all, but it would take less time to get it all down once the event was over.

Just approaching the hotel, you would be able to hear the sound of music faintly playing. The event would have been awkward if there wasn’t any DJ at all to play music to get people in the dancing sort of mood. The DJ has their little area set up so he could entertain the guests with various genres of music. Some slow, some fast, some in-between. But the one thing it has in common is it is all something you can dance to.

The event officially starts at 5PM, but the doors themselves open at 4PM. Though at that time, things are still being set up, but you won't be asked to leave if you decide to sit around and wait for it to start. The GCPD are in attendance as well to help keep the peace.

Don't bid more in the auction than your character would plausibly have. For instance, if they don't have a job, they can't bid 10,000 redbills. Bidding should be done within their actual means.

[Weird name for a girl, he thought. Yet when he sees the picture of the said pink-haired girl on the monitor for the date auction, he quickly thinks of her a beautiful. However, he stops thinking about it when he remembers Anastasia's warning.]

I can see that. Maybe I'll try asking her after her winning date...

[He's got no other choice as he doesn't have the budget to beat the others' prices on her.]

"Don't be nervous about talking to her, okay? And speaking of the auction, I...better get to the stage for my turn. It shouldn't take long."

[With that, Anastasia politely excuses herself. She'll only get two bids.]

Alright. I'll wait right then.

[With that, he sees her leave the table to get to the stage for the auction. While he stayed at the table to wait for her to return, he is still worried regarding her decision to join the auction.]

[And it certaintly was not long at all. Just appear on stage, a curtsy and a few minutes to hear any bids. She was excused after a few minutes of nothing.

Anastasia made her way back to the table with Tony, then there was a quick announcement there was a bid on her for 300 along with who bid on her.]

"I knew it... Anyway, Tony, do you have any questions about this world? Or are you satisfied with all the answers you got already?"

Yeah, can you tell me more about the other cities?

[While he expects Attleton to be like his hometown, he still can't contain his excitement about the other cities she mentioned.]

"Hmm..."

[Just cute, thoughtful sounds while she thinks. She'll do her best to explain.]

"Genessia and Attleton are called sister cities. Though, Attleton is more... I don't a good word for it.... " Barbaric," in a sense. Attleton has a fighting Colosseum, so that may be why. There seems to be more schools in Attleton.

Genessia has more open businesses, and the K&H home for children, where I used to stay.

Fayren looks like my country, with knights, castles and stone roads.

Nova City is huge with tall buildings, robots, automatic walkways, flying carriages, which are called "cars," or something. I stayed here with my guardian.

And Everglade looks like Genessia and Attleton, but if many buildings look old and haunted. Humans and monsters live here, but they are constantly at odds."

[And then, there was a anonymous bid on her for 350. She wasn't showing it, but now she's concerned.]

[As he expected, he can guess that Fayren is like any fantasy shows he watched, Nova City has sci-fi stuff that he really wants to see, Everglade might be like in those horror movies, and Attleton is somehow like Genessia and... a Colosseum?!]

Wait, wait, wait! Attleton has a Colosseum?! As in an arena full of fighters, gladiators, and others?

"I...think so?"

[What's with boys and fighting?]

"I just hear that if anyone has any disputes, they can either talk it out, go to a court, or take it to the Attleton Colosseum."

[Yeah, he's a boy and he likes fighting. Who can blame him? Regardless, looks like he can add that to his list of places he can visit in the future.]

Cool! I want to see those fights!

But I remember you can use magic. So what made your decision to stay with your guardian in Nova City? I mean, it's a sci-fi city and you're kind of... a Fayren girl.

[She won't stop him. She has every mind to test her magical mettle sometime. If she were allowed.]

"Well, it's not because I wanted to. Awhile back, there was a horrific series of murders that included city guardians, their deputies, and several unaffiliated people just because he can. My guardian, Satsuki, took me in to protect. But recently, she turned me over to a close friend of hers, Ayame."

City guardians? Deputies?

[As for the murder part, he was surprised that would happen in this city before his arrival. Usually, the missions he and his siblings took always involves with stopping murders, recover an important item, or stopping a bad guy and bring them back to prison. But this one is too much for him.]

Murders?! Does that happen most in the cities before?

"Each city is co-governed by a guardian. David Haller in Gennesia, Weiss Schnee in Nova, Blaze in Attleton, Xander in Fayren and Grell something-cliff in Everglade. They each employ volunteers as deputies to help with bigger issues."

[a pause...]

"Sometimes. Maybe a murder every other year. But never a bloodbath in one night..."

[If he can remember, he saw a young woman in the hologram that has the same name of that City Guardian in Nova she mentions and David Haller is the same guy Marc mentioned before.]

So what do they do exactly? Protect the cities they're in?

[Upon he hears about this, he became worried at what kind of baddies he might face in Genessia as they are unlike what he faced back home.]

"Basically, everything a mayor would do. Keep the peace, fund city projects. They... Pretty much have full reign, I suppose."

So you're saying that they are kind of leaders or presidents of the cities?

[innocent_royal]

"Yes, I suppose. They are elected and anyone can run. All though, I'm more used to a monarchy. We just had an election, so it will be awhile before the next one."

Monarchy? What's that?

[Sorry, he doesn't understand big words.]

"I'm a monarchy. Well... Sort of. A monarchy is what kingdoms are, ruled by kings and queens. My father is the current King of my country, so I'm next for the throne. I am a Princess after all."

Wait... You're the Princess? As in, a real-life Princess?

[She nods.]

"Yes. I am Princess Anastasia Leonheart of Regnum Nivibus, otherwise called Rivera, for our many holy rivers. All though, here, I'm just an ordinary girl named Anastasia."

Wow, so you're a real princess and a magician? That is so amazing!

[She wasn't sure if she is flattered by this.]

"You're probably the only person who actually cared. Not that me being a Princess or a magic-user means anything here."

Of course, I do! I mean, you are a Princess who can use magic powers! What more do you want?

Besides, why do you think anyone would not care about you? Sure, you said you're just an ordinary girl in here, but you still can use magic!

"I once hid the fact because I didn't know if my enemies were here. Now that I know, I started being more open. But everyone still treats me like an ordinary girl. So titles and power means nothing, unless you're a Guardian, or something."
