15 BRAINS ; anonymous text
Scenario: Zombies exist. They are conscious beings, look just like humans (no rotted flesh), except they have super strength and have to eat human brains or they'll lose their minds and go full Romero-style like in the movies. Probably a couple hundred of them in terms of population. Most of them don't kill humans, they buy brains off of coroners or funeral directors for premium prices just to keep from becoming murderers because while yes, they do feel hunger when they look at a human person, they also used to be a human and aren't typically psychopaths unless they already were before they died. They also sometimes get glimpses of the memories of the humans they eat. It can be spread via scratching, biting, and sexual contact. It's not spreadable to anything but in-species (so zombie rats can only infect rats, zombie humans can only infect humans).
What do you do about the zombie population?
(Disclaimer: This is hypothetical. Been watching a lot of B horror and got curious!)

Sometimes people can change too. Is this some sort of epiphany for being sick with a contagious illness?

Just fiction and seeing where everyone actually is on morals. Mostly I've learned that a lot of people think segregating is a great idea.

If people didn't think that then we wouldn't end up with people going hey let's make an island for everyone who insert some difference here that's a great idea fantastic 10 outta 10 or I guess in this case it's Everglade. Not sure which is worse...probably Everglade.
Don't worry. Most of the people saying that are idiots.

What do you think about an island someone makes for their own species to keep them separate on purpose?

Huh. I guess I could see the appeal? But isn't that just one way of running away-- I mean, things are going to happen regardless, and if people separate themselves and hide from that, then when they eventually can't they won't know what to do. I think it's fine to keep to yourself to a point, but it just sounds like it would hurt them more than help in the long run.
