genessia | I - Darkness Event

Warnings: Possible deaths. Horror. Flames. Darkness. Lightning. Falling Debris. People falling off buildings.

I

From the highest building of Genessia city emerged a dark and unwavering light. It lifted up into the heavens. It brought with it obsidian smoke swirling around the light as if a shroud of darkness. In an instant the bright skies lost its light. Thick black clouds descended from the heavens. They tossed, tumbled and seemingly kissed the city's skyline. It was noon and yet the sun was no where in sight. With all light, it stole all happiness from people who saw the dreaded skies.

Loud booms, sizzles and crackles were heard beyond the clouds - as if a prelude to the coming event. This lasted a while before everything became hauntingly silent. Nothing could be heard. Everything, from the ground to the skies were silenced.

Waiting.

Aching.

And finally welcoming.

The skies glowed eerily. Dark hues of crimson, azure and silver lined certain portions of the skies. Then a white light glowed. A light which ripped through the space between ground and skies, leaving a crisp sound in its wake. The lightning bolt was strong enough to make the very ground quake at its presence. After a moment of silence, similar bolts of lightning hit different areas of the city. Continuously. Relentlessly.

Following the thunderstorms, came a foul stench raining from the skies. It smelt like rotten eggs. Suffocating. It was Burning Sulfur. With the stench came black flaming orbs which plummeted wantonly on the buildings of Genessia City. It burned anything it could get its hands on.

The terrible weather continued for at least five minutes after it had started. Never softening. Just ending abruptly after it had left most of the city in flames.

II

Not too long after the skies started to brighten, after people assumed a crude state of sanity, an ominous circle of light emerged on top of Genessia Hospital. For a few seconds, there was nothing but silence. But slowly, the circle of light expanded its terrain. Soon, it was large enough to cover the entire medical building. But still it remained silent. For people who have affinity for arcane magic, they can sense the power flowing through the circle - an energy devoid of any positive light.

A minute after the circle first appeared, the land beneath it started to quake. Every pillar and every wall shivering and threatening to fall. Then, the same fire storm that was released around the city was concentrated to fall upon the hospital building. A barrage of obsidian flames fell to the building one after another. Never stopping until the building itself hasn't fallen. After the building has crumbled the flames slowly dwindled into the bright glow of scarlet flames.

((OOC: Each part here comes after each part from Lucifer's Video Feed. So Part I from the feed comes before Part I of the Log. Each section here will be divided to sections deemed appropriate for the event. Any further questions can be addressed from the ooc-community post or from this journal. Fights Lucifer will get into are limited due to ic (after his little show, it'll be too much if he can still fight a horde of people) and ooc reasons (basically too many fights will drive me bananas).))

Yet, for all her searching, Minako won't find him in an Alley. Instead, she'd notice the demon king staring down at her from a twenty story building. His eyes glowing darkly at her. Then out of nowhere, she'd notice a dark orb descend from Lucifer's side and started plummeting towards her. His way of saying, 'Hi'.

[Venus only noticed it at the last second and only just managed to dodge out of the way, but not without getting a knock or to from hitting the wall to hard to avoid it. She looked up at the direction that it had come from and noticed someone standing there. She just hoped that when she got up there he wouldn't have moved, but then again don't people like this enjoy watching what they created?

Whatever the case she headed up twenty flights of stairs and upon reaching the top she gathered her hands close to her.]

Rolling Heart Vibration!

[At the call of her attack she sent out a heart shaped blast and grabbed the belt around her waist, whipping it off and letting in fall to her side, her hand gripping the other end.]

[There was a dry smile on Lucifer's face as he waited for the girl to arrive. She looked familiar, but then again there were too many irritating blondes in the city. He'd still rather have someone who had deep dark hair - Basically Alexiel.

He didn't turn around when the girl came up. Sure there were magical people who came from different worlds, but Lucifer didn't feel the need to feel threatened. When she screamed and released her attack, Lucifer easily flew up and faced the girl. However, though his estimation was not off, his skills were hampered by the massive arcane energy he had used during the event. So there he was, facing the girl with a scowl on his face. Her little attack was able to injure the tips of his ebony wings.]

Not even a, Hello there?

[There was a proud look on Lucifer's features as he summoned dark spheres in front of him, which rained blades of acid towards the girl.]

I don't even know who you are yet.

[Venus moved as quickly as she could, choosing to go to the side and hopefully get around, but unfortunately a tiny bit of acid caught her on the ankle, causing her to flinch, but she didn't stop moving.

She soon skidded to a stop and choose that moment to turn and run towards him, belt at the ready as she swung it, aiming towards a leg in the hopes of attempting to pull him down.]

You want to know who I am! I am the guardian of love and beauty, Sailor Venus and I'm going to put a stop to you!

[The belt made contact and yet Lucifer's expression did not change. He remained unmoved by Sailor Venus' presence. He saw as the belt clung on to his boots and yet he couldn't careless. He felt the tug, though his wings flapped to keep him afloat.]

Guardian of love and beauty?

[Distinctly remembering an irritating blonde who mentioned the same thing to him before.]

I despise that line...

[With that, Lucifer allowed his wings to flap furiously, bringing Sailor Venus higher up into the air. Then he spun vertically to throw Sailor Venus to the ground.]

[Oh dear. She looked down as she realized her feet were no longer on it. She thought this had been a rather genius idea but it turns out it probably wasn't.

Gripping on as hard as she can, she pondered her next move. Using an attack now might be a good time to get some damage in. Grinning slightly, she used that opportunity to use another attack while the belt was attached.]

Oh yeah, well you'll soon see what the power of love can do. Venus Love and Beauty Shock!

[Just before she slipped to fall in the ground, she unleashed a blast on energy from the belt chain upwards. Falling to the ground she does a quick spin, landing perfectly on her feet as she stood arms out stretched.]

Perfected the landing.

[That blast exploded on Lucifer. It stung a little to watch, but that was it. He was still thankful he had his dark armor on.

The girl landed perfectly, but Lucifer wasn't finished with her yet.]

I give it a...

[Out of nowhere, his dark spiked-blade appeared and with one swift motion, he slashed it in thin air. Then multiple dark blades appeared and ran towards Minako. All of which were directed towards her face.]

[Venus looked worried for a moment before deciding now was a good time as any to use moves she had learnt over the years in gym class. Starting in a small run so went onto her hands flipping through the air into a spin, trying her best to avoid the blades going for her face. Seriously what was this guys problems with her beautiful face. It was annoying.

Landing on the other side she looked up for a brief moment, aiming yet another rolling heart attack towards him.]

[But wait. Where's Lucifer? Wasn't he supposed to be right in front of Sailor Venus? Well he was tired. Ssailor Venus was too agile and he had to do something to slow her down.

So there he was appearing only inches in front of him. A dark smile brewing on his face as he did. Within a second of appearing in front of her, spikes emerged from his gloves. A backhanded slap was then given to Sailor Venus.]

[She couldn't react fast enough before the slap was given. God that was kind of rude, but never the less it was effected and sent to to the side and toward the ground. slowly getting back to her feet, she rubbed her face, slowly getting more and more annoyed.]

That is it! It is time to end this!

[She grips her belt tightly, tugging it briefly before she cast yet another Love and Beauty Shock towards him before trying to get in closer to get a punch or kick in if she can help it.]

[He received the shot, and it stung him. It made him grimace. Though as he walked closer towards her, his spiked blade emerged once more in his hands.]

You're right!

[He dashed towards the blonde and rammed his sword against her abdomen.]

It's time to end this.

[Minako had ended up on the edge of the building with nowhere left to run so when she felt the sharp pain of something going through her abdomen, she looked down and realized what had just happened it had already been too late to react. She had taken a couple of steps back, forgetting for a moment that she was already so close to the edge that when her footing went and she started to fall backwards, she realized what was going to happen next.

She was going to fall and she was possibly going to die if not from the stab then the fall itself would break her. She slowly closed her eyes as she began the descent down towards the ground, her mind full of regret and failure to follow through with her duty. She wished she could say sorry now, but she knew that she couldn't. But it wasn't long before she simply blacked out and her body fell to the floor with a large thud and she was no more.]
