I - Darkness Event
What: Darkness Event
Who: Lucifer and Everyone (with your choice of NPC involvement)
Where: Genessia City (Four other cities and dimensions gates are excluded)
When: July 17, 2014
Warnings: Possible deaths. Horror. Flames. Darkness. Lightning. Falling Debris. People falling off buildings.
I
From the highest building of Genessia city emerged a dark and unwavering light. It lifted up into the heavens. It brought with it obsidian smoke swirling around the light as if a shroud of darkness. In an instant the bright skies lost its light. Thick black clouds descended from the heavens. They tossed, tumbled and seemingly kissed the city's skyline. It was noon and yet the sun was no where in sight. With all light, it stole all happiness from people who saw the dreaded skies.
Loud booms, sizzles and crackles were heard beyond the clouds - as if a prelude to the coming event. This lasted a while before everything became hauntingly silent. Nothing could be heard. Everything, from the ground to the skies were silenced.
Waiting.
Aching.
And finally welcoming.
The skies glowed eerily. Dark hues of crimson, azure and silver lined certain portions of the skies. Then a white light glowed. A light which ripped through the space between ground and skies, leaving a crisp sound in its wake. The lightning bolt was strong enough to make the very ground quake at its presence. After a moment of silence, similar bolts of lightning hit different areas of the city. Continuously. Relentlessly.
Following the thunderstorms, came a foul stench raining from the skies. It smelt like rotten eggs. Suffocating. It was Burning Sulfur. With the stench came black flaming orbs which plummeted wantonly on the buildings of Genessia City. It burned anything it could get its hands on.
The terrible weather continued for at least five minutes after it had started. Never softening. Just ending abruptly after it had left most of the city in flames.
II
Not too long after the skies started to brighten, after people assumed a crude state of sanity, an ominous circle of light emerged on top of Genessia Hospital. For a few seconds, there was nothing but silence. But slowly, the circle of light expanded its terrain. Soon, it was large enough to cover the entire medical building. But still it remained silent. For people who have affinity for arcane magic, they can sense the power flowing through the circle - an energy devoid of any positive light.
A minute after the circle first appeared, the land beneath it started to quake. Every pillar and every wall shivering and threatening to fall. Then, the same fire storm that was released around the city was concentrated to fall upon the hospital building. A barrage of obsidian flames fell to the building one after another. Never stopping until the building itself hasn't fallen. After the building has crumbled the flames slowly dwindled into the bright glow of scarlet flames.
((OOC: Each part here comes after each part from Lucifer's Video Feed. So Part I from the feed comes before Part I of the Log. Each section here will be divided to sections deemed appropriate for the event. Any further questions can be addressed from the ooc-community post or from this journal. Fights Lucifer will get into are limited due to ic (after his little show, it'll be too much if he can still fight a horde of people) and ooc reasons (basically too many fights will drive me bananas).))

Fairy Tail was strong but she still couldn't stop worrying. ]
Z-Zeref-san?
[ she mused her eyes widening as she stopped in front of him. The wind around her collapsed as she gave him a worried look. She could feel it that sort of frightening aura that he was giving off at the moment. ]
I-I...well... he calls himself Lucifer. There was a network--a network post. He told us he did it and he laughed while doing it.
[ She furrowed her brows. ]
[1/2]
{ He knew what he looked like, at least. Zeref seethes just a second longer, though he doesn't raise his face quite yet. He needed to find Silver and Suigintou, soon. This book needed to be in Silver's hands soon, for... reasons, and he wasn't sure how close he had to be to Suigintou for this 'contract' to work. }
If Fairy Tail wants to fight him... fine. { Zeref was no hero, nor would he ever claim to be one. He wasn't cut out for Fairy Tail - nor any other guild, despite what Tartarus might believe - and if he were to get in a fight here, all kinds of people would be put at risk even more than they already are. }
But if I happen to come across him by chance...

{ Zeref finally looks into Wendy's eyes. The most obvious thing off about him would be the fact that his eyes look completely different; instead of being rather featureless with no discernible iris, they're bright red, with small, black circles surrounding the pupils. His body was radiating dark magic, though unlike usual, it was completely under his own control, at least for now. Whatever Wendy might have thought of Zeref before, it should be clear that this was the infamous Black Wizard, the one Grimoire Heart sought to unseal, and the stuff of nightmares to the Magic Council and any guild that abided by their laws. }
1/2 oh my god Zeref stop scaring her sghksdghkdsgshg orz!!!!!
[ Her voice was a little shaky because his magic aura was strong. It was heavy as well and made her slightly nervous. Wendy didn't know what to do but she waited patiently for him to calm down somehow. She didn't want to see him so upset and angry at this. She knew the man was at wrong, but there was no reason in pointless bloodshed. She didn't want to have Zeref possibly injured. Even if he was the famous Black Mage, she came to accept him as her friend. ]
Fairy Tail is trying to save the people of the hospital! We can't possibly fight him with so many people hurt right now, Zeref-san.
[ The girl retorted to his comment, as bravely as she could. ]

Zeref-san....
[ She curled back at his eyes. Those eyes were terrifying. Even at the sight of them she was terrified. He was usually so gentle and kind, that this side of him, it surprised her.
She grabbed his arm. ]
Zeref-san, please.
[ No killing, no hurting. She didn't want to see people hurt anymore. ]
We'll stop him, we'll stop him before he hurts more people. So, Zeref-san doesn't have to...
[ Her grip tightened. ]

{ Not that Zeref - even when he's like this - is dismissing Fairy Tail's efforts, just pointing out the obvious. There was only one way to stop this kind of violence, and it wasn't treating the symptoms; it was treating the disease.
When Wendy grabbed his arm, he nearly flinched. Thankfully, he was under full control over his powers right now; his control was, after all, linked to his emotional state, and right now, he was out for blood, even if he already promised that he wouldn't actively seek it out. }
I said that I won't look for him. But if I find him, I make no promises. { Silver might actually be better suited to this; if Lucifer was indeed a demon, Devil Slayer magic would be a godsend (pardon the pun) in this kind of situation. Though, he was curious if Lucifer's fire could melt Silver's ice; from what he's heard, even the likes of Atlas Flame had trouble melting it. Devil Slayer magic wasn't Dragon Slayer magic, obviously, so the fact that it worked on a dragon spoke volumes of Silver's power. }
There's only one way people like this ever stop.

[ She understands what he means and she knows better than to assume that he was downgrading Fairy Tail. She knew his intention was good but to say kill so easily, it made her worried for the man that was causing the issues and Zeref who was going to go after the man if he found him.
She didn't let go when she grabbed him. She didn't want him to get hurt and she wanted to show much she actually cared about the lives of others. Zeref may be a Black Wizard and did bad things, but he hadn't done anything terrible yet. He hadn't hurt anyone without a good reason. She might not know too much about him, but he in his own way was kind. ]
...Zeref-san.
[ Her tone lowered a bit and her brows creased together. She opened her mouth to speak but the ground started to crack underneath them. Wendy's eyes widened. Instead of waiting for a reaction, she shoves Zeref out of the way of the crack instead of letting them bot fall underneath it. ]

He was just about to answer her when the ground started breaking apart. He barely had time to react when he felt Wendy pushing him. He fell backwards, away from the crack... as he saw the ground breaking beneath Wendy's feet.
No. No way. Zeref was not about to let someone else save his life, least of all someone from Fairy Tail. Zeref's body began glowing purple, as he hopped back up to his feet, raising one hand in front of him, and the other behind him, his palms facing upwards. He was loathe to Living Magic in all but the most extreme circumstances, and this qualified. }
Hidden magic, the Punishers of Heaven--
{ The ground broke. Zeref wouldn't have time to get the full spell off, but thankfully, all it took was just one low-level demon to do what he needed. And all of this widespread destruction left Zeref with no small amount of rubble from which to summon low-level demons.
A black blur would - hopefully - catch Wendy just as she began falling, but with how fast it was traveling, it was not likely to be a gentle impact. Compared to the demons Hades created, Zeref's own personal take on Nemesis was... different. The creature was larger, certainly, and resembled a cross between a shark and a giant lizard, its fangs dripping with caustic saliva. Its eyes were much crazier-looking, the black parts of its 'skin' much darker than Hades, yet the purple runic glowed much brighter.
The spell wasn't completed; the Nemesis demon only had enough energy for that one action, and would disintegrate into black shortly afterwards. }

Lucky for her, the demon that Zeref called had come forward and grabbed a hold of her before she fell down completely. The repulsive sight should have made her fear it more, but instead she didn't. She was surprised to see that he had summoned a demon to save her and it was something she didn't expect him to do. It only proved her thoughts on him as being someone who was kinder than he appeared.
She made a soft noise as she was caught roughly but very relieved that she didn't sink into the ground. She looked over at Zeref seemingly confused and speechless. She gave him a small smile and thanked him in the end. ]
Thank you....Zeref-san.
no subject
Zeref sighed, and looked away from Wendy as she thanked him. }
Nobody should ever risk their life to save mine.
no subject
She managed to get herself back to her feet and walked over to him. She saw him look away from her but it didn't stop her from asking him a question of her own. ]
We're friends, right?
[ She mused giving him a small smile. ] I don't want you hurt.
no subject
Friends...
{ It sounded strange, coming from Wendy. Lucy and Mavis had said similar things, of course, and Zeref hadn't disagreed. But Wendy was willing to sacrifice her life to save his. Zeref wouldn't wish for anyone to do that. He wouldn't have even accepted his demons doing that for him. But still... }
Thank you.
no subject
Y-yes.
[ She replied giving him a small smile at the comment he said. Wendy never found him to be a bad person. she might have doubted him before but he helped her find her friends and he told her stories she didn't know about. She appreciated it and it seemed that their relationship wasn't all that bad. ]
You're welcome, Zeref-san. Please be careful.
no subject
{ Zeref wasn't sure what to think. A member of Fairy Tail nearly sacrificed herself to save his own life. His life. Zeref, the Black Wizard, the single-most feared and hated person in Earth-Land, who had thrown the entire world so deep into chaos that four hundred years later, his mess still hadn't been cleaned up. Dark Guilds were killing in his name, and his demons were still rampaging throughout the world.
But Wendy didn't seem to think he was that bad. Maybe it was youthful naivete, or maybe she only knew of him as he was now and hadn't yet known the full extent of what Zeref was responsible for. }
Wendy, there is something I need to tell you. There is another, here... besides Silver.
{ She could be out there searching for him, now. Zeref hadn't wanted to mention it
because it just happenedbecause he didn't want to get Fairy Tail up in arms, but with all of this chaos, he had no choice. She'd be searching for him. }She appeared yesterday. Sayla, one of Tartarus' Nine Demon Gates. She has horns, markings on her forehead and shoulders, and dresses in a short kimono with a large ribbon. If you see her... get ahold of me immediately, and don't approach her. She is not as merciful as Silver is.
no subject
There...is?
[ There were more Tartarus members here? That made her expression change and her body paled a bit at that thought. Silver was someone she didn't really speak to but he wasn't as unpleasant as the rest of the demons. At least, from her own knowledge. ]
I-I see.
[ She replied looking down at that thought. Sayla. She hadn't me that person specifically at all so she has no idea what she looks like. ]
I promise not to engage with her, but Zeref-san if she attacks, I won't hesitate to fight back.

{ Her Curse is almost unfair. Granted, he hasn't heard anything about humans doing strange things - no sudden, inexplicable suicides, no random acts of violence committed by humans, no mass exodus, nothing - but he needed to ensure that she doesn't join in on this fighting. If she decided to release her limiter, the level of destruction she's capable of rivals that of Jackal. It's incredible, how subtle her Curse can be in contrast to those giant blasts of energy she can release through her Demon Eyes... }
Her Curse, called 'Macro,' takes over the body of whoever she uses it on, allowing her control over their actions with just a thought. { Zeref doesn't mention her weaknesses, such as her difficulty controlling corpses, her inability to control other demons, and the fact that her Curse requires concentration and conscious thought or she loses control. } She's aware that I'm here. She has to know that I'm looking for her.
no subject
That is if she could. If the demon wanted to fight her, she wouldn't be able to run and even if she tried to fight she might lose her control. It was all too scary and Wendy's brows knitted together at his words. At least, he was warning her of potential danger. The younger dragon slayer slowly nodded her head as he spoke. ]
Okay. I'll let Zeref-san know if I see her and I'll try my best to avoid confrontation. I don't like fighting.
no subject
The good news was that Sayla was capable of behaving herself, if for no other reason than because Zeref asked her to. And Zeref was counting on that working. }
She despises humans as much as any other demon, but she's one of the calmer members of Tartarus. If I can talk with her, hopefully I can at least convince her to focus on Lucifer instead of Fairy Tail.
no subject
She keeps her eyes fixed on him as he spoke to her, his seriousness, she could sense. ]
I-- see. I hope that it will be okay....
p She nodded her head. ]
Y-Yes, because he keeps hurting everyone.
no subject
{ Zeref turned back to the sky, the fire still falling. He could sense many more magical presences in the area now, trying their best to defend the city. If he had the right kind of power, he'd be doing it, himself. For now, he had to find Silver, Sayla, and Suigintou. }
I'll be fine, myself. I've dealt with worse than this.
no subject
[ She smiled at softly before taking off but not without turning back and saying the last set of words. ]
If Zeref-san needs help, please let me know!
[ She shouted, before disappearing beyond the horizon. Wendy would like to stick around and help him but he had others. She had to get to her friends and protect them. They were important to her. ]
