I - Darkness Event

Warnings: Possible deaths. Horror. Flames. Darkness. Lightning. Falling Debris. People falling off buildings.

I

From the highest building of Genessia city emerged a dark and unwavering light. It lifted up into the heavens. It brought with it obsidian smoke swirling around the light as if a shroud of darkness. In an instant the bright skies lost its light. Thick black clouds descended from the heavens. They tossed, tumbled and seemingly kissed the city's skyline. It was noon and yet the sun was no where in sight. With all light, it stole all happiness from people who saw the dreaded skies.

Loud booms, sizzles and crackles were heard beyond the clouds - as if a prelude to the coming event. This lasted a while before everything became hauntingly silent. Nothing could be heard. Everything, from the ground to the skies were silenced.

Waiting.

Aching.

And finally welcoming.

The skies glowed eerily. Dark hues of crimson, azure and silver lined certain portions of the skies. Then a white light glowed. A light which ripped through the space between ground and skies, leaving a crisp sound in its wake. The lightning bolt was strong enough to make the very ground quake at its presence. After a moment of silence, similar bolts of lightning hit different areas of the city. Continuously. Relentlessly.

Following the thunderstorms, came a foul stench raining from the skies. It smelt like rotten eggs. Suffocating. It was Burning Sulfur. With the stench came black flaming orbs which plummeted wantonly on the buildings of Genessia City. It burned anything it could get its hands on.

The terrible weather continued for at least five minutes after it had started. Never softening. Just ending abruptly after it had left most of the city in flames.

II

Not too long after the skies started to brighten, after people assumed a crude state of sanity, an ominous circle of light emerged on top of Genessia Hospital. For a few seconds, there was nothing but silence. But slowly, the circle of light expanded its terrain. Soon, it was large enough to cover the entire medical building. But still it remained silent. For people who have affinity for arcane magic, they can sense the power flowing through the circle - an energy devoid of any positive light.

A minute after the circle first appeared, the land beneath it started to quake. Every pillar and every wall shivering and threatening to fall. Then, the same fire storm that was released around the city was concentrated to fall upon the hospital building. A barrage of obsidian flames fell to the building one after another. Never stopping until the building itself hasn't fallen. After the building has crumbled the flames slowly dwindled into the bright glow of scarlet flames.

((OOC: Each part here comes after each part from Lucifer's Video Feed. So Part I from the feed comes before Part I of the Log. Each section here will be divided to sections deemed appropriate for the event. Any further questions can be addressed from the ooc-community post or from this journal. Fights Lucifer will get into are limited due to ic (after his little show, it'll be too much if he can still fight a horde of people) and ooc reasons (basically too many fights will drive me bananas).))

Ryuuji please stay still.

[ The fonist replied seriously as she pushed more rocks out of the way. At least, what appeared to be rocks. They were really chunks of cement that was falling from the buildings but she couldn't help him and use forcefield at the same time, so she chose to help instead. Tear moved another out of the way as she noticed how damaged his leg was. She couldn't do this without assistance for sure. She was stern on making sure he stays in place, because she didn't want his injuries to be anymore fatal than they were. ]

Ryuuji I will get you out.

[ Somehow. She was not going to leave him there. ]

They are fine. The voices are the children I just moved away from the debris.

[ As She said that, she saw Jade approach them. She would be able to heal small things on Ryuuji but his leg, it would need a lot of medical treatments before healing could do anything to be honest. Tear didn't appear much better than Jade, covered in a lot of dirt and blood of both hers and other people. Tear glanced at Jade with a worried gaze, of course faltering on for a second before she took in the seriousness of the situation. ]

Colonel, we need to get him to safety and treat his injuries.

[ Tear replied seriously as she gave Jade a serious look for his comment. Even though e sounds cheerful, she knows that Jade knows the seriousness of what is going on. Tear went to the other leg and started using her fonic hymns on it wordlessly as he gave her that silent gaze. ]

[He didn't think she'd have to go through all the trouble. Especially if, in this world, the dead come back to life. That's what the last one was capable of. Regardless of this lack of convenience, he found her persistence to be somewhat comforting in the midst of all this chaos. Ryuuji still wasn't sure what caused this problem to happen in the first place.

It wasn't before long, that Jade arrived, and it was a tad unwelcome.

His expression remained in a cringe. He only turned his head slightly, leaving it still uncomfortably placed on the ground.]

What about Luke? Is he okay?

[Ryuuji hadn't see him since this morning, and now that it just occurred to him, he was worried for Luke.]

[Jade quietly watched Tear work. To be honest, he really wasn't much help in this situation. He had no means of slicing through the rod embedded in Ryuuji's leg, and the other end was locked in a sizable chunk of concrete. Carrying him, and the debris connected to him, would be quite troublesome. Between the two of them, they may not have the strength. To Tear, he tapped the rod, just lightly enough that Ryuuji wouldn't be able to feel it.] Once we take care of this small matter, we should be able to send him on his way.

Hmm? Luke? [Jade adjusted his glasses, surveying the destroyed block around them. Luke was probably off finding his way into other bits of trouble.] I would imagine he's off being as eager and helpful as always.

[ Tear focused on the healing rather than talking at the moment. She could hear Ryuuji greet Jade in his own way. Tear kept her mind focused on the injuries until she was satisfied that they were sufficient. She then turns to Jade giving him a look but speaking to Ryuuji. ]

I am certain that Luke can handle his own. I trust that he will be alright.

[ She replied assuring Ryuuji that it would be okay. ]

[Was it a big mistake that Tear focused on healing rather than keeping a force field up? The building was crumbling, all the upper floors were on fire, and the ground beneath them was not stable.

The moment Tear spoke, the ceiling above them crumbled into large chunks, threatening to bury all three of them alive in cement and fire. Do they survive? ]

[He already felt sick, but as long as he didn't move, or look at the setting that surrounded him, he was fine enough keeping himself together. His eyes never focused on any one thing, and chose to leave his sight slightly blurred.

Jade never really answered his question, meaning Jade didn't know Luke's whereabouts, and if he was okay. His heart sunk a little knowing that. He couldn't take Tear's word for it, that he was okay. The three of them already weren't well off.

His racing mind came to a stop when he felt small pebbles and dust rain on them, followed by some smaller chunks of cement. There was a subtle shake.

Ryuuji was calm before, but he was starting to freak out now.]

Was...that the ceiling?

[It was collapsing. They were certain to be crushed now. He even failed to realize the floor beneath him starting to give way to gravity. The structure was fragile, and too much weight was in one spot.]

[As Tear was healing, Jade took off his coat and tied a make-shift tourniquet around the impaled leg. Like it or not, Luke's whereabouts were unknown--they had other things to focus on.]

[But just as they were about to fix Ryuuji's most dire injury, another issue arose in it's place. He felt the floor beneath them tremble, and felt the dust begin to fall. Jade didn't have time to mentally prepare Ryuuji or warn Tear for what was about to happen, nor the time to formulate a better plan.] Move!

[He placed his hands beneath Ryuuji, and quickly got to his feet, ripping the bar from Ryuuji's leg. He knew it would be immensely painful, but at least Ryuuji wouldn't immediately bleed to death. If Tear was standing, he would attempt to hand Ryuuji off to her, because his sudden movement caused the floor beneath him to give way. Otherwise, he'd have to try to toss Ryuuji clear.]

[ Tear was focused on getting whatever she needed to get done with Ryuuji before the three of them had to make a break for it. She wasn't going to let the boy die in any way. It was good that Jade was here to help with first aid while she took care of the injuries. Tear never meant to lie to Ryuuji, but she honestly believed that Luke would more or less be okay. She didn't want to think that he got hurt or anything of that matter. He was someone who had strong will and strong senses. He could make it through anything. At least, she was telling herself that while she fixed up Ryuuji, her roommate.

Tear stopped briefly when she felt something was wrong. Dust and pebbles rolled off her shoulder. She looked up when Ryuuji said that the ceiling. The ceiling?!! Tear sharply looked at the mess that was happening and moved as soon as Jade shouted. As she moved back she called the Forcefield to protect Jade and Ryuuji from falling through the floor that gave away. It required so much energy to throw that out quickly but she was hoping that it was enough time to get Jade and Ryuuji to safety.

Tear ends up being close enough to the two of them to take Ryuuji after the fonic arte as Jade pushes him onto her. She falls back but Jade was briefly protected for a short time before he was sent down. ]

Colonel! Ryuuji!

[The movement was abrupt and quick, when Ryuuji was suddenly lifted from the ground. There was a sharp burning pain in his leg that caused him to cry out rather loudly. The surge of pain was enough to send him into an shock of the unconscious variety. Tear would be the first to notice his temperature drop. Ryuuji was clammy on top of having a weak, rapid pulse. He had shallow breathing, eyes dilated, lacking any semblance of consciousness.

Thanks to the coat, he didn't bleed out quickly, but his state was undoubtedly compromised.]

[Thankfully, the forcefield protected Jade from most of the damage from the ceiling as it began to crumble and give way, but instead of taking his chance and making a break for it, he pushes Tear (and likewise Ryuuji) away from the hole, onto more stable ground.

He braced himself with his spear, as the floor broke away beneath him, and he fell to the floor below.]

[ Tear tried her best to keep him conscious as he was in her arms as she falls backwards. Tear quickly started to use her stronger fonic hymn to save him from dying. She could feel him becoming really cold and fast. Tear was on the floor on her back with Ryuuji sprawled on her bloody and going cold. As Jade was falling beneath them. She knew he'd be okay and focused her abilities on saving Ryuuji.

She held onto him tightly as she started to heal him significantly with a strong fonic hymn. ]

O healing melody of divine mercy... ♪♫ Riou rei croa riou ze rei va ze rei

[ Tear will need excessive assistance later but saving Ryuuji was the priority of the situation right now. If she could save Ryuuji she would go after Jade when he was safely taken out of danger. For now, she really focused on him while praying to Yulia that Jade would be okay. Even if she knew he most likely will be. ]

Ryuuji stay with me!
