I - Darkness Event

Warnings: Possible deaths. Horror. Flames. Darkness. Lightning. Falling Debris. People falling off buildings.

I

From the highest building of Genessia city emerged a dark and unwavering light. It lifted up into the heavens. It brought with it obsidian smoke swirling around the light as if a shroud of darkness. In an instant the bright skies lost its light. Thick black clouds descended from the heavens. They tossed, tumbled and seemingly kissed the city's skyline. It was noon and yet the sun was no where in sight. With all light, it stole all happiness from people who saw the dreaded skies.

Loud booms, sizzles and crackles were heard beyond the clouds - as if a prelude to the coming event. This lasted a while before everything became hauntingly silent. Nothing could be heard. Everything, from the ground to the skies were silenced.

Waiting.

Aching.

And finally welcoming.

The skies glowed eerily. Dark hues of crimson, azure and silver lined certain portions of the skies. Then a white light glowed. A light which ripped through the space between ground and skies, leaving a crisp sound in its wake. The lightning bolt was strong enough to make the very ground quake at its presence. After a moment of silence, similar bolts of lightning hit different areas of the city. Continuously. Relentlessly.

Following the thunderstorms, came a foul stench raining from the skies. It smelt like rotten eggs. Suffocating. It was Burning Sulfur. With the stench came black flaming orbs which plummeted wantonly on the buildings of Genessia City. It burned anything it could get its hands on.

The terrible weather continued for at least five minutes after it had started. Never softening. Just ending abruptly after it had left most of the city in flames.

II

Not too long after the skies started to brighten, after people assumed a crude state of sanity, an ominous circle of light emerged on top of Genessia Hospital. For a few seconds, there was nothing but silence. But slowly, the circle of light expanded its terrain. Soon, it was large enough to cover the entire medical building. But still it remained silent. For people who have affinity for arcane magic, they can sense the power flowing through the circle - an energy devoid of any positive light.

A minute after the circle first appeared, the land beneath it started to quake. Every pillar and every wall shivering and threatening to fall. Then, the same fire storm that was released around the city was concentrated to fall upon the hospital building. A barrage of obsidian flames fell to the building one after another. Never stopping until the building itself hasn't fallen. After the building has crumbled the flames slowly dwindled into the bright glow of scarlet flames.

Each section here will be divided to sections deemed appropriate for the event. Any further questions can be addressed from the ooc-community post or from this journal. Fights Lucifer will get into are limited due to ic (after his little show, it'll be too much if he can still fight a horde of people) and ooc reasons (basically too many fights will drive me bananas).))

It's alright now. [Terra voice is soft but reassuring. She shakes her head at the boy with an encouraging smile. She turns to face Satsuki her features turning back to their usual calm.]

Do you know what's happening?

[Satsuki takes a moment to glance down the street, then back to the duo, first to Chihiro.]

Thankfully Terra has granted you an opportunity to redeem yourself. Let us try again.

[So at the very least she's willing to let it go. Then to Terra.]

Let us get the others moving as I explain.

[She yells for the others to follow, then,]

I know not the details, nor what he is trying to prove but this is the work of one named Lucifer. In terms of disasters we are looking at fires, collapsing buildings and roadblockage.

I've only just arrived so I am not privvy to how bad the damage in this city is, but I have placed myself in charge of assisting in getting the injured to the hospitals in Nova City.

The citizens can get through the archways only if those that wear these necklaces are touching them. That was why I had called for you, Chihiro Fujisaki, I am understaffed in that regard.

[Chihiro wiped himself down a bit before going to the other people and making sure they are okay. Once he was certain of that he looked over before realising he was suppose to follow and ordered the others to follow him. He slowly but surely started to catch up before looking at her.]

Th-That makes sense. So I'm sorry that I am very good at it.

[Terra follows the boy closely worried about his wounds.]

Do you need help?

[They need to get people out but Terra already knows that not everyone will.]

[Satsuki glances over her shoulder to Chihiro.]

I do not recall saying anything of the sort. Learn from your errors and only then can you properly determine whether you are sufficient or not.

As far as I am concerned there is hope for you yet. There are people that need our aid, so place your doubts aside and let us work hard.

[And then to Terra.]

I do; there are only five of us total. Especially since I see you possess healing magic. If you could tend to the injured brought to the archway, that would lessen the transport load in Nova City.

[Just half a block down and the trio arrive at the medical camp. There are about seven medical tents set up, and seventeen people rushing about in a surprisingly organized manner.]

I-I'll be fine, its the others I worry about more right now.

[He continues to guide them to the best of his ability, ignoring what injuries he might have himself currently. But for now he seemed fine enough.]

O-Oh, we are here. I'm glad. ,small>[And a small sigh of relief because honestly he thought it was much further away.]

[Terra nods and follows towards the medical area. She walks over and starts assistant where she could. Her expression remained calm and occasionally softens to a sweet smile to comfort those in pain.

Her eyes went to the boy she had found in the rubble.]

Can I look at your leg again? I should be able to heal it fully now that we are out of harms way.

Indeed; it would appear you have traveled farther than you expected.

[Satsuki takes a moment to observe Terra at work. It surprises her a little how friendly appears; has she performed work like this before? That said, she doesn't want to interfere too much, so murmurs to Chihiro.]

I shall take the survivors from here. Once Terra she has given approval, report to the archway as soon as you can.

[Chihiro felt fine if he had to admit it, but he figured he could get told off if he didn't listen to her at the very least, or just seem rude and ungrateful.]

O-Okay. [So he had to report to the archway when he can, that sounded easy enough as he first went to sit down. he figured that he should do that until Terra said so at least.]

[Terra moves quickly over to his leg. She gives him a reassuring smile before she starts to look it over. It had been mostly healed already but she wants to fully heal it if he is going back to out there.

She is glad that her knowledge of war and battles is now helpful.

Her hand begins to glow and little firefly like sparks dance from her fingertips to his leg. Terra checks over once more to make sure all internal damage is healed before looking up with a smile.]

All better. Are you alright?

[He gives a small nod before looking at his leg again. How did she do that? He had no clue but from what he saw it wasn't exactly normal.]

I'm fine, thank you, but miss... How did you manage to do that?

[Terra gives him a shy smile.]

It's magic. From where I'm from. [Seeing someone excited and not scared of her magic is new.]

[He wasn't exactly what to do or even say next.]

So you have magic in your world, like people do in video games? How does it work where your from?

Video games?

[Terra looks at him confused.]

There aren't that many with magic in my world. Most people fear it but it comes from deep inside of me.

Yeah... It's something people play hat usually has a story line. The type I'm talking about are ones called RPG's or role playing game.

[He's not sure how much detail he could go into. he was sure someone else he knew could do it better.]

I don't think it's something to be feared, I mean it helped after all.

[Terra is very confused by the boys explanation.]

Magic can do good and bad things.

[He tilts his head slightly.]

Bad things? Like what?

[Terra stands and looks around once before answering.]

Like casting fire or other black magic spells; their use depends on the intent of the user.

So... I guess they would be considered attack magic.

[Depend on the user as she said.]

What would you do with your magic in that case?

At home I was in the army and usually used my magic for war and destruction.

[Terra's voice is sad and even softer than usual.]

[He didn't expect anything like that.]

It sounds like you weren't happy with it?

I'm not but it was my job.

[Things were still fuzzy for the mage but she is working through them. Terra hopes that while being here she wouldn't have to become that solider again.]

[Chihiro quietly got up and moved about, going from one person to another and showing them to the gate to help them through.]

But at least here you can have a new job.

Yes.

[Terra's face is almost blank except for a small smile on her lips. Her voice is warmer as she moves to heal another.]

I'm thinking of other things I can do.

That's good. [He gives a small smile, but for now he should really start taking them through the gate since they need him to do so.]

T-Thank you for your help, but I have to take these people to Nova City now.
